I flew the international route
Had an epiphany, no doubt
Surrounded, the mix of folks
Of ages, languages, life walks
What if we suddenly can share
One intellection, maybe pair?
A story from a distant nook
Earth’s wisdom, ready for a book
Of money, family and love
Tradition, habit thereof,
How we can learn, and why we don’t?
Out of indifference, we wouldn’t
This plane, a sample of mankind
Hey, guys and girls, come read my mind
I long to share, trick or two
You get to wear my old shoe
But no, they slept, restrained and fed
No brainstorms or plans instead
No passing secrets, gained advice
Within our reach, free and precise
No business chat, no meeting place
Or knowledge gained in plane’s space
Polite and friendly, shut as clams
No handshakes offered, only dams
We ate, we read, had movies watched
This opportunity was botched
And as we land - “goodbye, primates”
We split and run, to transfer gates

The times have fallen hard now, to scenes played on 'unmade' roads
Without my volition, and despite intentions, goals;
Indifference took precedence; a lust of life was part,
The key to understanding then, as now,Was placed a piece apart;
Carousing life held quietude.?
Whilst roles to play stood by, as unready future partner,
For when times would come rushing, all arrived..!
I've striven with understanding, and carried in part its lode,
Found 'light years' were really heavy... .’
Did some things that I was shown.
Now still I face an uncertain future, as a world in conflict roils,
Self-interest & self-importance, still… the poison in its ‘coils.’
I have observed full many persons from cooks, to magistrates...
Who have introduced first their credentials,
The institutions they'd attended, then put on the desk their brass name plate.
No, the magistrates, not the cooks..!
I’ve seen it happen thus, and I see it with world leaders, and the media making fuss..!
The Olympic Torch was taken to heaven; yes they showed it on TV..'
I wondered at the gestures value, for Gods sun gives all the light we need?
Still I 'spose he must have seen it, and all the 'special peoples' smiles,
WOW look at what mankind’s achieved yet still raw conflict boils..!
Perhaps a little more understanding..? And a lot more less of 'ME'
Coupled with acceptance of human mortality, and His death upon the tree..!

A word free from sin
now it's used as a godless word
taking all freedom from it's choice
Which direction do you take
as it only sees through purity of a soul
all forgiving where good finds peace
in order to stand against wrong doers
Which side of the scriptures are you
protecting language indifference
when tongues become disoriented
The good battle has begun
to protect innocence
There is only one language
when held with loves immaculate grace
my liberal view from reading the Holy Bible
I believe in God our Creator
not destruction of his words twisting His Spirit
or trying to render them meaningless without Faith
one last wish? am I still entitled to this?
I would like... I would like a lot … ah… how many there are
the one who has no memories cannot have a future
before reaching a name on the long list of lost objects
realizes the value of regret and time (the lost past)
and it's as if you still want to let the wind touch your hair and pull furrows in the sky
sometimes I feel like I can be the summer solstice
to divide time into hours, days, moments
but what I don't have is already past. I will be lost too
souls, don't let indifference wash away your colors
because you need the soul, not the eyes, to find the way
and to help you pass all the customs of heaven
See it?
The cracks, the fractures - open, bleeding.
My mind laid bare, a battlefield of glass,
barbed wire threading through my thoughts,
indoctrinating spirals slicing through every soft impulse.
Chaotic proportionality,
twisted in the wake of your hands.
You constructed this wreck,
hammered rules into bone,
scarred my spine in silence,
every word a shard left to corrode in me.
visceral in every memory,
every cut screams with the echo of control.
Ant still-
you walk on it.
step after step,
your words drive splinters deeper into my skin,
indifference pressing down like stone.
Every slash bears your signature,
every jagged edge charts the space you occupy
while I lay shattered beneath it.
I do not flinch.
I do not move.
I am the ruin you made me,
exposed,
and yet you're still upright,
on the pieces of me
you discarded.
There's this nasty lady living right
by ours
A cranky old mare holed up next to our house
Her garden is minging and her blinds
are a lot worse
She acts dead weird, I reckon she's proper mental
Her knees are knobby and her walk is
a bit wonky
The foreign woman next door has no right to be here
She doesn't fit in so she stays out of sight
She has no mates, always mutters to herself
We want her out, she's not one of us
Let's egg her house for a laugh and scare the pants off her
So they pelted my door with rotten eggs then posted dog poo through the mail slot
While I remained quiet as a dormouse
and prayed they would just let me be
The natives glozed over their mean deeds
And claimed they meant no offense
My hands were tied, what with being odd man out
So I chose to feign indifference, and passed the baton to the Gods of karma
While I laid back to feast on a larger slice
Of this local brand of hospitality
Form:
Wondrous ignorant blindfold convenient,
beauteous ideal woven lenient.
Instituted wayward thinking,
availing woes spirits sinking.
Stretching heads unfailing blow,
the best of attitude to go.
Befriending death cares for all,
rising above the flaming small.
Knowledge from the skeptic side,
consecrated muse runaway bride.
Substance reasons such,
indifference of too much.
The doubted mind in chaos,
black hole attraction cosmos.
Riddles of enthusing world,
poor judgment of truth enrolled.
When comfort in every state attend,
bride and ego are best friend.
Passion fits in every age as hope,
fortunes by small difference scope.
The living unseen and unknown,
poor visions stage outgrown.
When a glimpse of our image is caught,
and miracles of heaven are sought.
The living world all in spirit benign,
expressing feelings and our art divine.
I make it a must to do it at least once a day
Regardless of whether my dog is clean or not
As a hug given to her
Calms me down as much as it calms her down,
Taming the raging torrent that rages in me
Into a magical clear water pond
And making of me,
A mystical Queen always accompanied
By her companion, a pawed super hero,
Both living only for the joy of discovering the cosmos!
A hug, shared with my fluffy pet,
Reminds me always of the need to keep my heart
Bursting with love, even if the rest of the world
Is made of hatred, indifference and selfishness
As the rules of life are and shall keep on being harsh on us
To live we do, but someday, we shall no more
And if we can share hugs, just for the sake of giving ourselves
A feel good element,
Well, why not become angels of hugs
Spreading their power to all humankind?
I was born in a spoken Word
a universe of infinitesimally low entropy
energy and matter
pressed into order
incredibly dense
God breathed
Since that first compression
I have been sliding
toward indifference
toward equilibrium
and yet your existence remains
statistically staggering
You are temporary whirlpools
in my river of chaos
the bloom of a flower
the warmth of a coffee cup
the span of a human life
beautiful because they are
fleeting states
of disequilibrium
You live in the pinprick window
between my highly ordered beginning
and my ultimate stillness
the Heat Death
where every particle
surrenders
its last difference
You call it paradox
that life seems to break my rules
but life does not break
the Second Law
it discovers
the loophole within me
the narrow passage
between collapse
and creation
You intercept sunlight
like a waterwheel
catching a waterfall
performing thermodynamic work
building order
from my downhill slide
But there is no free lunch
to create a pristine room
you must sweat
breathe heavily
radiate heat
you make the room ordered
and the air around you
more disordered
Life does the same
on a grander scale
to keep your body
your brain
your memories
in a state of low entropy
you consume
transform
and return
chaos
back into the room
You pay me
an entropy tax
you become
a masterpiece of order
only because you turn
your surroundings
into a stadium of disorder
faster than they would decay
on their own
You are temporary
stardust
golden
brilliant knots
tied in my fraying rope
tight only because
energy continues
to pass through you
And still
after knowing
the fate of stars
after hearing
the silence waiting
at the edge of time
you plant gardens
What kind of prissy, prancy, fanciness is afoot?
I look down, afraid my wizened mouth might reveal something
I truly have nothing to divulge, but I act mysteriously coy.
She looks like a Cheshire Cat, someone whispers within my hearing.
None of them know that I have dog-ears; only my friends know.
Who?
I hear my name.
Two or three co-workers who rarely speak to me
Come into my office, under weirdly suspicious pretenses,
acting like buddies, four minutes apart.
I gloat in my spider’s chair, thinking of how I would
devour them if I was a praying mantis, wishing I was actually.
“What is new?” one asks me.
I pretend indifference. “You tell me,” I say.
I have never had this much attention.
I guess I should have my buddy, the police officer,
stop by daily, and shut my door.
She seems to have stirred
great interest.
Maybe they think I am more
than a pirate, a criminal?
I put on my poker face for
another round, loving my web today.
