Your lips seduce me
Your eyes entrance me
Your smile makes me catch my breath
A symphony of love all rolled into one
With a voice overflowing with love
With seductive charm
Your voice melts my heart
I tremble at your tender touch
The word “love” doesn't seem to do it justice
There must be some other phrase
Perhaps yet to be invented
For thousands and thousands of years
Poets have struggled to describe
What humans have experienced for centuries
Since the dawn of civilization
And we are still searching
In the meantime, the simple phrase,
“I love you” will have to suffice
It's been repeated an untold number of times
It's still the ultimate expression of love
It's about time:
Time out of mind, time capsule, time travel, time frame,
Time zone, time to get cracking, time will tell,
Time to spare, time out, time off, time apart,
Timetable, timeclock, timeline,
Time for bed, time on my hands, time has not been kind,
Time flies, time stood still, time marches on,
Time to go, time step, time to kill, time is up,
Time is of the essence, time is on my side,
Time to sow, time to reap, time bomb,
Time limit, time after time, time to grieve,
Time is my friend, time is against me,
Time waits for no one, time ran out,
Time to put up or shut up, this time, next time,
Once upon a time, once in a lifetime, the test of time,
The time of your life, the sands of time,
One more time, storytime, quitting time,
One time too many, payback time, on borrowed time,
The time has come, these are the times that try men's souls,
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country,
No time to lose, no time like the present, in no time,
In the nick of time, out of time, 'til the end of time,
Losing track of time, as time goes by, from time to time,
Now is not a good time, all in good time, for a good time call,
Let the good times roll, remember the time, take the time,
The arc of time, the best of times the worst of times,
Telling time, when I find the time, more time than money,
Lunchtime, launch time, high times, behind the times,
If I could put time in a bottle, in the meantime,
That time of the month, for the last time, in due time,
Daylight Savings Time, halftime, break time,
ETA, closing time, Central Standard Time,
Record time, spare time, timepiece, peacetime,
All the time in the world, most of the time, sometimes,
A time for everything, waiting time, doing time,
Greenwich Mean Time.
Time makes slaves of us all.
Time takes its victims without remorse or hesitation.
Time heals all wounds.
Nothing can hurt us the way time does.
It's show time!
Author's note: If any of you dear readers can think of other "timely" quips, I'll be happy to add them to my list.
It’s all around
It’s everywhere
And when you least expect
t’will linger and await
Invisible in the air
No indication
No warning
Your innocent breaths
You are unaware
Donning your mask
Do not wait to be asked
Safely distancing at all times
For this dreaded virus
We're unable to see
Menacingly waiting
For the likes of you
Menacingly waiting
For he likes of me
And in the meantime
After all cautions taken
Find pleasure in all
Mother Nature doth bring
~ her morning sunrise
~ her calming sea
~ her full moon mesmerising
Her many gifts for you for me
oh such joy they are bringing
when you hear your is heart singing
For this virus can’t destroy them
Even though it’s causing mayhem
Take care of this miracle crafted
As you stroll through her woods and her fields
Created for us by a force up above
Encompassing us with his tenderest love

January 8 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Genesis 25-26
Key Verse – Genesis 25:21 And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
HEART THAT INTREATS GOD
We intreat God as He responds to us with His answers at His set time
Surely bringing to our heart hope every time
With His cheers of encouragement any time
Midst sin-mocking in the meantime.
We intreat God as He visits us in our very grievous frustration
Surely comforting our heart through His mercy-feast’s provision
With His gracious peaceful rest-invitation
Midst anxiety-filled worldly pollution.
We intreat God as He grants us along His heavenly blessings
Surely healing our heart while attending to our complaints’ voicings
With His kindness of gentle care against cursings
Midst hatred-reproofs and hypocrisy-bitterness’ bracings.
We intreat God as He upholds us during temptations and trials
Surely guarding our heart despite denials
With His Jehovah-jireh portrayals
Midst enemy-multiplied betrayals.
We intreat God as He uplifts us me in our mourning
Surely counselling our heart while to us You are listening
With His love of compassionate hearkening
Midst lamentation-punctuated communing.
We intreat God as He drives us whenever we pray
Surely hearing our heart of our beseeching pleas’ array
With His fellowship’s presence-ray
Midst doubt-confusion that leads astray.
We intreat God as He keeps us in our dwelling’s blissfulness
Surely speaking to our heart about His delightful Word’s sweetness
With His wise answers of truthfulness
Midst world’s vanity-deceit He confounds by His assertiveness.

Lately my mantennae are twitching more than usual, folks.
The prophecies are surely uncloaking.
Time to batten down the hatches.
A potent darkness is approaching the front doorstep.
Clutch your loved ones to your sunken chest.
It's nearly midnight; the world is on full tilt.
Nuclear pinballs ricocheting off bent flippers.
Madmen will never lead anything into battle.
They'll just push a button to begin the cleanse,
The darkness wants to speed up the blender of Armageddon.
In the meantime, enjoy the day.
Have a lick of your favorite ice cream.
Kick back and watch the ultimate fireworks display.
Just as I finally fully fathomed,
That the exception does indeed prove the rule.
They went and changed the rule,
And now the exception is no longer the exception.
Now instead of being the exception, I take exception.
When the majority is the minority,
And the minority rules the majority,
The new rule makes majority rule, the exception,
That proves the new rule and makes me take exception.
Which is something I find hard to Fathom.
I hope that I can have it fathomed,
Before the new rule,
Becomes an old rule,
And the exception that was an exception,
Is no longer an exception,
Making the rule beyond my ability to Fathom.
In the meantime
If you can find the time,
And your memory does not let you down,
I suggest you tone it down,
And avoid joining the majority,
As to become part of the minority,
Seems to be the only way to not become the exception to the rule,
So, you can stand in the minority and you too can rule,
While I go away and do some more fathoming.
It’s true what a wise one once said…how the older and older we grow
the more and more we learn…the less and less we know.
I don’t know why there still are wars…why there is famine poverty and strife.
I don’t know why one human…would ever take another human’s life.
I don’t know why we as humans cannot get along.
I don’t know thy the weak among us can’t be cared for by the strong.
I don’t know why there is hate and bigotry…why some people cheat and lie.
I don’t know why innocent children and babies have to die.
Thankfully, however,
The list of things I don’t know is not limited to the wicked, sad and vile:
I don’t know why a baby’s laugh always makes me smile.
I don’t know how there can be so much beauty in the sky, the sea…the land.
I don’t know why it feels so good to hold another person’s hand.
After watching so many sunrise and sunsets I don’t know how they can still surprise.
I don’t know how tears of joy and sorrow flow from the same well in my eyes.
I don’t know how to explain love…how it can take a broken heart and heal it.
I don’t know where love comes from…I only know it…when I feel it.
I don’t know why I make wishes under the moon or upon a falling star.
I don’t know why we don’t tell each other more often…how beautiful we are.
I don’t know why a life filled with so much joy and happiness
has it’s share of sorrow and sadness too
Hopefully these are things I might come to know before my time is through.
In the meantime I’ll keep searching for joy wherever in life I go…
In the unexplained
In the undiscovered
In all the things I do not know.
I have invented instant creative hairdo magic, the child told the mama
When you awake from sleep, your hair will change colors, with high drama
Mama woke up and her hair was blonde with curly ringlets down her back
Surprising her a bit, as her hair was usually short, and crow-feather black.
The next day mama’s hair was feathery, light, breezy, and hot pink.
Who did that? Asked her husband. She said “Who do you think?”
The child in the meantime had blue hair with a little touch of green.
But wait, after a nap, it came out orange with dollops of red sheen.
Can we opt out of instant creative hairdo magic? The daddy said.
You see, there was now a clown’s spongy rainbow mop on his bald head.
No, the child replied. Creative hairdo magic is here forever to stay.
Mommy said, “Please child, just don’t give me long hair that is ugly gray.”
Now you go, In the back of my mind, Trying to remember The look in your eyes — It was calm and undefined. I search for answers I couldn’t find.
Thoughts of you fill my mind As I gaze at the stars. These bars have no end, They stretch higher than I can reach. With a feeling of guilt in my chest, knowing it's: Forbidden to see, Forbidden to talk to, Forbidden to love as I yearn for you — Day and night.
Desires of lust Fill my dreams, As time turns to dust. Years of crying and screaming. I thought I’d find something new, But I can’t leave the old. It sticks to me like Glue to a page. Afraid to leave ’cause of what might happen, Can’t bear the hurt.
Don’t know if it’s just lust, But I’m connected to you Like a river to the sea That never mixes. Clueless to let go, As I’m stuck in a pit — Can’t escape as I struggle, Fighting with old and new, Confused about what to choose. Secretly I choose the new, But it’s a forbidden fruit That can’t be taken.
I feel pulled to you, Drawn to you, A need to be with you — While hurting someone in the meantime.
It’s so wrong but feels so right. We connect — mind to heart, soul to body, as they intertwine. I choose to be with you… But would it be wrong?
The Pirate
This is an ongoing story,
about the limits of the library.
It can take you as far as you can go,
but it is the bible that takes you to forever.
In the meantime we are here.
Free to be, all that is silly or sad.
I choose the first and refuse the last.
Fear, has only the strength you give it.
Believe, and the boundaries of your cage,
will not just bend, or break...
they will disappear.
Now I don the hat,
the colored scarf of black and gold.
The raw idea, to feel, alive.
Poetry, stories, songs to write,
to sing, to share, to bring,
glory to the King.
His grace; gold!
His part in my life...
silver and frankincense.
How do I know,
the treasure of my heart,
found on the beach,
the ship waiting in the distance,
calling to me...
not once, but repeatedly;
to remember,
that I had forgotten,
or been told lies,
but that...my soul,
had worth.
It has worth.
That "I am..."
valuable,
to Him.
