January 8 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Genesis 25-26

Key Verse – Genesis 25:21 And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

HEART THAT INTREATS GOD

We intreat God as He responds to us with His answers at His set time
Surely bringing to our heart hope every time
With His cheers of encouragement any time
Midst sin-mocking in the meantime.

We intreat God as He visits us in our very grievous frustration
Surely comforting our heart through His mercy-feast’s provision
With His gracious peaceful rest-invitation
Midst anxiety-filled worldly pollution.

We intreat God as He grants us along His heavenly blessings 
Surely healing our heart while attending to our complaints’ voicings
With His kindness of gentle care against cursings
Midst hatred-reproofs and hypocrisy-bitterness’ bracings.

We intreat God as He upholds us during temptations and trials
Surely guarding our heart despite denials
With His Jehovah-jireh portrayals
Midst enemy-multiplied betrayals.

We intreat God as He uplifts us me in our mourning
Surely counselling our heart while to us You are listening
With His love of compassionate hearkening
Midst lamentation-punctuated communing.

We intreat God as He drives us whenever we pray
Surely hearing our heart of our beseeching pleas’ array
With His fellowship’s presence-ray
Midst doubt-confusion that leads astray.

We intreat God as He keeps us in our dwelling’s blissfulness
Surely speaking to our heart about His delightful Word’s sweetness
With His wise answers of truthfulness
Midst world’s vanity-deceit He confounds by His assertiveness.
