What They Did And What they Didn't Do

When they Brought the internet and brought everybody on line,
They made life more interesting.
They made us addicted.
They Made us happy in one sense.
They made everything easier and info was more at our finger tips.
They told us it was a great fun way to spend out time/day.
And a great way to relieve or alleviate stress.
They said Get with the programme.

But they did not warn us to be careful about the addiction threat.
The did not warn us to be careful that this addiction might lead us further apart.
That relationships may become broken.
And that people may develop more selfish and self centered traits.
They did not warn us to make a greater effort to keep friendships and relationships in tact.
They did not warn us that societies would become more segregated and divided,
And that we all needed to make a twice greater effort at caring, interactionism and integrationism.
They did not forewarn us to be careful or prudent.
They did not say take this so called improvement with a grain of salt.
They did not say do it at your own risk and at the risk of humanity as it used to be.
They did not say it would thwart communication with the loved ones around us.
They did not say that instead of alleviating stress it has the opposite effect,
Especially when we stay glued to all those negatives videos,
Like Murder movies, and news.
They never told us that sometimes our weary eyes need a break from their flashing neon led glare.
And that Peaceableness and Peace Of Mind are the best for our aging process.
Just as the deliberately choose to forget to impress on the youth the negative and harmful effects of drugs/dope.
They tricked us.
And we all fell for it, without exception.

Premium Member Celebrate Your Mistakes

Are you anxious in making mistakes?
Do you feel terrible when you do?
Mistakes are simply outcomes we did not expect and can lead
to growth.

Start by admitting your mistakes
You can only learn from a mistake if you admit you made one
As you start blaming other people
You miss out any possible lesson

Admit error—even if it is only for yourself—takes the focus from assigning blame
Moves you toward understanding

Enlist help
Join or sign up
Talking to someone else about what happened gives you the benefit of your friend’s experience
He or she may have made similar mistake or know how to deal with it
In addition
Describing the event forces you to think it through
May even help you see opportunities you didn’t know were there

Decide to change.
Ask “What will I do better next time”
Real growth or development and change happen when you see improvement
Then commit in making necessary changes to avoid the mistake in the
future

Benefit from mistakes
The most important lesson to remember
If you learn from the current mistake
You may be able to avoid a future one
Making a mistake does not make you a mistake
Remember Eternal God is the only one you know who does not make them

Premium Member Weather Forecast

For the new year, my weather forecast shows
good outlook for improvement on my front,
'cause models for disturbance have disclosed
the changes in my atmosphere- less blunt.

Precipitation of my built-up tears,
held in by clouds to later fall like rain,
          reveals that charts predict revised frontiers;
climatic stats project my drier reign.

My temperatures- stabled to stay fair,
and UV index low to prevent burns.
          Statistics show no earthquakes to declare;
flash floods adjusted now show low returns.

Extended-outlook for your year is great;
no storms and brighter rainbows I'll create.

Premium Member Our New Almost Vice Principal

She introduced herself to the staff as their new vice-principal.
It was not the truth,
Not quite a lie yet either.
In truth, she had
Warned the principal
She was after his job.
The principal did not get to choose
His own staff, and human resources
Had hired and sent him this
 maladroit interloper in July.
He knew her quite well by the
Time the rest of the staff arrived
In August.
She was rapidly labelled an
unwelcome fussbudget. In
hours the staff knew to stay away from
her in droves, not listening
to her ravings or keen suggestions
for improvement on their inept performances.
Her most confident area, of course was self-confidence.
She had it in oodles and arches,
And she displayed it
With the skill of
a clumsy peacock, holding an exceptionally casual bull horn.
The last they heard her about her, she had complained to HR that her frustration level was through the roof, they were boobs, and she was leaving.
A little celebration good-bye party was held in her honor two weeks after she left
at the principal's house.
Now who forgot to invite her?

Passing the Mantle

When you’re in charge of something,
It’s prepared the way you like.
The past few years, I’ve hosted
A poetic open-mic.

It’s through a group of teachers
And we hold it once a year.
Attendees vary – just a few
Or thirty may appear.

I always planned a writing drill
To get folks in the mood.
It broke the ice and worked its charm
On even those subdued.

We then went ‘round the circle
Sharing what we had produced.
Supportive comments always helped
To give a welcome boost.

Today I’ll be attending
But I will not run the show.
I’m curious to witness
How the afternoon will go.

It may be an improvement
Or not worthy of acclaim
For the passing of the mantle means
It won’t be quite the same.

Being

Underground, its hard to see
What kind of thing one could be
All the stretching and tearing
With the sun, sometimes, glaring
...its light
.........on tender eyes

In the dark, matter becomes weighted
When WAY can NOT be anticipated
That's when vibrations cluster
Around reason, to filibuster
...for voice
.........to push BEING into choice

Edges and corners are never safe
Only experienced by the stupid and the brave
Best to reside in a circular clump
Where time and space gather to dump
...lack
........skirted in lattice black

BEING is most difficult when one is seeing
Who, what, and where others are agreeing
Being neither here nor there
But in the middle night....WHERE....light cares
...about movement
...........and the BEING's improvement

....????

Note: I'm always amazed when I ask a question, and without expectation, one answers in a way, that identifies the maturation of the soul. It never gets old, and always gives me the direction I need in prayers for that soul.

Premium Member Banned Book Club VIII -Psychedelia studies

To be truly, fully present
Of consciousness and
answering why we are here,
These studies are a promising field of research
Yet by powerful backlash
research has halted
For severe depression and PTSD
Universities use micro-doses of psylocibin
Derived from mushrooms
It lowers stress and doesn’t
cause hallucinations
Follow up studies show dramatic improvement
of conditions not previously responsive
to conventional medications and therapies
This chemical is still widely banned
Except for a few controlled studies
Underway at accredited, renowned medical
and psychiatric departments
at major universities
When popular conventional
therapies prove ineffective
the 60’s and 70’s proved a fertile ground
for those seeking help
New age treatment called Primal Therapy,
When religious cults such as love Guru’s
Hare`Krishna mantras, Buddhist chants
of Nam-Myoho-renge-kio or being shakabukued
or Hollywood fix its— for anxiety’s
mental illness failed,
Came the psychotherapists
and the latest Primal Scream Therapy
new and experimental, so-called Hollywood therapists
took it to levels unimaginable and a bit too far
and should have never been licensed!

The Liar on the Fourth

Holidays are meant to be significant for enjoyment!
The problem is that the proposal for engagement is met with pure blissful ignorance!
Denying my words for a union of an engagement!
Was wrong as you lied to a person that wanted to build a bridge based on acceptance!

Stay within the confounds of your status as you will not live in bliss!
You focused on a symptom of similarities and not of outwardness!
Due to your lies and ignorance I am not inclined to change your status to misses from miss!
I am a man that when given the chance will go to straightforwardness!

You gave up on improvement!
You would rather be in denial!
It is sad that you would not look at me as a form of improvement
You look at your future in a form of a person that likes to see the truth of being a person that likes to beguile!

Enjoy your stupidity and go forth!

Premium Member Trixie Is Full of Herself Today

What kind of crazy whimsicality is this?
I mouth to Trixie, my muse.
She is wearing a red tutu, and has on gray striped headphones.
Dancing to some kind of bee bop music I dare not listen to myself.
It will be way too sexy for my ears.
Trixie’s hair is pink today with silver sparkles,
and she has a blue streak.
Her third combination hair color of the week.
Trixie is gloriously full of herself, and she thrives on overkill.

Yesterday her tresses were rainbow with a splash of orange.
She was wearing a red felt tarboosh with a tassel at breakfast.
An improvement over the camoflauge pith helmet from Friday.
Still, unusual for her.
Her pink yoga mat is out.
She is exercising now.
I look on her light up chart.
She will be doing fifty sit-ups and six-hundred jumping jacks.
Guess which one is her favorite?

I try to squelch her a bit, because I need her insight today.
But she waves me away and laughs at my human silliness.
“Energy begets energy,” she reminds me.
I patter into the kitchen to fix myself a caramel latte
with whipped cream.
I am warming up a couple of chocolate chip cookies
when Trixie starts pulling at my brain.
“I thought you would need at least twenty-five minutes,” I argue.
Her hands are on her hips and she is glaring at me now.
“Now or never,” she says.
So the cookies have to wait.

Premium Member Calvary's Cross

Cruel and unusual punishments were not protected by Roman Law

Acts of treason could lead to crucifixion even for Roman citizens

Life Eternity is neither a possibility nor a probability, but a promise

Victory does not mean every battle won; but always wins the war

Alternatives as remedies for the 'sin question' were non existent

Resurrection is the hallmark of the faith; the guarantee of believers

Yesterday, Christ was crucified; today, he lives; tomorrow, he comes

Sin's remedy is not a self improvement project for the 'religiously inclined'

Christianity has never been about a religion; but it is about a relationship

Religion is about mankind's endless such for a god who is never there

Obedience was a struggle in Gethsemane that ended with submission

Salvation was always God's Unique Plan of Redemption; never ours
