Honey I'm missing you
Sitting here feeling blue
Living my life on the road.
Coming back every night
Hoping you're in my sight
But you're not, thats how it goes.
Feeling blue is nothing new
Work is life, I have to do
Grey hair, sore back and it shows.
I only want to be with you
Dancing til we are through
holding each other as we go.
As we go through life
Save me the last dance
Always wait for me to come home.
I'll be there soon
Grab you into my arms
And waltz with you room after room.
As we go through life
Save me the last dance
Love me and I will love you.
I promised you then
And I promise you now
My love is my only truth.
Honey I'm missing you
Sitting here feeling blue
Wishing that I was back home.
Coming home late tonight
Please be up, my first sight
When I walk straight through that door.
We can dance in the hall
And through the kitchen too
To the deck and under the moon.
Save me that dance
And I'll show you my love
My love is my only truth.

Those Parisienne days of love beneath the Champs Elysees
I remember Paris 1949, drinking a glass of old Beaujolais wine
And I recall that summer when we kissed and you were mine
In those Parisienne days, you were always `Ma Petite Poupee``
`
Looking back at photographs, summer days warm as honey
corner cafes with creme brulee, pretty eyes a shade of rum
sharing penciled love notes and paragraphs, you ma tres jolie
together we did taste the wine, beneath the Parisienne sun
We toured La Tour Eiffel I must admit you were tres belle
with a french berret smile I guided you towards the lake
Bassin de la Villette, where you were happy picking shells
In those Parisienne days we were always wide awake
I recall that summer when we you promised to be mine
in the petit cafe, where we shared a bottle of wine.
Poem
Apex superior
Indeed the creator is perfect
Making men and women to be the heads
Making children to be the bodies
Generations, generations all know him
He speaks wonderfully of his images
And creatures
Created all without selfish pride
And made them to multiple
What a wonderful story
How did he do that?
Bees stinks all beautiful flowers
It still produces nice honey
Birds fly round the sky
But build their nest
No question can fetch
An answer to your deeds
For it is gloriously
A splendour.
Form:
Visions of a way forward
raising the curtains dream magic
stepping into the spotlight view
captivating under a harvest moon
Rocked in the cradle of thoughts
your the flower sweetly awakening
deeply flames warmly embrace sunshine beams
growing beautiful rose petals tenderly touch deeply
When I trace your heart's echo
kissing this soul softly within dewdrops
weeping starlight tears of a breathless sigh
where the sunbeams dance with brilliance
Golden inside your rays honey
deliciously lights up priceless perfect
holding the breath for a moment love
our time shining purely unique sharing
Watching for thrushes that grow moist
from dusky soil, my heels trek along
deepened clay. As I lay on the porch listening
to tress rustling, inky moon sinks its riddled face
through veil of midnight. Somehow, I feel restless...
abandoned like jagged refrains of this heart
which seems to fall into an unsettling interlude
of time. Yes, this golden chapter drifts,
as a baptism of new beginnings swells.
on this barren field…
a solitary twig cracks
from one glittered tree
The nightfall drools looking for the yellow
among clouds. For a while, the hazy outlines
of strangers--native women and children ---
disturb my revelries of younger moments
lingering through the dipping sway from moonglow.
Through calm intervals of laughter, I sway
with mid life's flow; fire to air, salt to honey.
Much as I need to inhabit youth's space,
it no longer belongs to me.
But twilight comes brimming with all
the glistened jewels of my own half- time of a world.
between two lifetimes
is a haunting melody…
like an unsung note
Pain is not painful
Until you fall in love
That moment you feel
a missing rib in your body
and honey water turns sour
When you wish just for a moment
Of freedom from earth
When your brain can't reason well
and your eyes can't see well
The time you enter the process
of transition
From old self to new self
Knowing the reality of life
Knowing that love is not real
It's a trick to cause you pain
One moment of joy
and years of pains
Love makes you wallow in regret
Where you find yourself in dark corners
Gummed to the wall waiting
For death to grace your soul
with eternal bliss
And eventually you
fall in love again
Knowing the terrible
Fate that awiats you
Our flirtatious glances were as rosebuds in Spring
Infatuation blossomed into confessions of love
LOVE: such a fragile emotion, a rather delicate thing
We bloomed profusely in Summer's fulgent heat
His touch as soft as the velvet of my crimson petals
We swayed in gentle breezes, content and replete
On warm, sun kissed days and long sultry nights
His parted lips tasted far sweeter than raw honey
We savored each moment of exquisite delight
In Elysian fields we lingered by Summer's end
Romance, the nectar of our paradisial passion
But in our arbored garden, I felt him bend
With Autumn approaching, the air grew chill
There was a sense of fading and withering within
A petal fell and my world seemed to stand still
Our bloom lost its luster, its fragrant floral scent
I languished in pathos as my lover turned away
Feeling the agony of loss, I drooped, head bent
No longer did I feel the warmth of the sun
Inside my weary veins no tenderness remained
The beginning of my demise had sorrowfully begun
Love became a memory in Winter's frigid mist
Tears spilled like drops of mourning dew
Snowflakes touched my lips, once tenderly kissed
I became a frozen blossom, standing on my own
Icebound in time ~ once loved, forsaken and alone
My season of life and love was tragically windblown
Pierced by the thorn that once protected my heart,
I have no interest to awaken in the thawing of Spring
for love died and wretched regret has torn me apart

“My Cousin Joan’s going to let Danny stay with her in Toronto, Honey.”
“Toronto? What the holy hell are you talkin’ about, June? Danny’s just finished college. He’s not going anywhere. What--he’s a draft dodger now?"
“It’s all arranged, Sam. Our son’s going to be drafted. He’ll be sent to Viet Nam. He might get himself killed!"
“Damn it all to hell! I raised a draft dodger. He’s going to be some pot head hippy in Canada. Over my dead body he is! Did that pansy friend of his, Lester-that long-haired loser brainwash him? What’s going on here?”
“Don’t scream at me, Honey. It’s his decision. His lottery number’s 38. The cut-off was 100!"
“He can get the holy hell out of this house and never come back, as far as I’m concerned, that commie coward!”
“Stop, Sam, please. You’ll wake up Bobby. You’ll scare him."
“Let Bobby wake up! Let him learn what a loser his brother is. And what are you crying about?"
“It’s the holidays. All the Christmas songs and the lights. This ruins everything. I feel ill!”
“Then Merry Christmas—Feel better now?”

We Ignore Each Other With Art
We ignore each other like an art practiced for years,
even when we are a few centimeters away from touching,
we pretend that the air between us doesn't burn intense violet,
that this empty space is not full of raw electricity.
Our eyes meet and everything stops for a moment,
for a heartbeat too long compressed eternity,
then we both look away as if nothing happened,
as if we didn't just die and resurrect in a second.
Yet I catch you looking and I tell myself I imagined it,
then you catch me and I know you imagined nothing it's real,
you pass by me so close I feel your silence,
it caresses my skin with invisible fingers of rough velvet.
I remain motionless like ice but something in me moves,
something unravels melts like an underground river to the surface,
how long will we keep doing this—ignoring each other like masters,
because the wall between us no longer keeps me away now.
The wall pulls me toward you instead of pushing me away paradox,
in the way only you could pull me without touching,
we ignore each other like a perfected art but it burns hard,
harder than touch would burn if we allowed ourselves everything.
The air between us is thick like poisoned condensed honey,
each centimeter of distance is full of unspoken words,
our eyes collide and retreat like clashing stars,
and everything stops for a beat that contains universes.
We pretend we don't feel how silence screams louder,
how our ignoring is more intense than the embrace,
you pass by me and I feel how your absence touches me,
how your lack is fuller than fullness how the void is full.
I remain motionless but something in me dances collapses,
the wall we built brick by brick of ice,
no longer protects me from you—it pulls me like an inverse magnet,
in the way only you could destroy my empty soul.
We ignore each other like a religion practiced daily with rituals,
but our ignoring is more sacred than clear recognition,
how long will we be able to pretend we don't see each other,
that we don't feel how the air burns with violet and golden flames.
