Thee Grim Reaper As Pedagogical Savior De Jour

written just a couple weeks before the lease at prior abode would expire, and no affordable habitat....just by happenstance and a thankful invisible hand of destiny.

To avoid the pitfall of prospective homelessness
which near future prospect
   induces existential angst i confess.

Today, i wanna die and bid god riddance grandly
   going gamesomely gra grave,

to Bing mulct emotionally, physically and spiritually -
all the grinding hardships would be gone in a flash
how tempting to seek a solution sans hemlock

How Does One Break the Cycle, Part I

I have seen it slowly coming,
and I do not know what to do,
a slow but steady erosion
in the world’s average IQ.
It started back in the nineties,
a slow but steady drip since then,
decline in mental fortitude
amongst our women and men.
I’m not talking partisan stuff,
though this doesn’t help with that crap,
I’m looking at evolution,
which never really takes a nap.
Some jolly heretics speak up,
but most others tend to ignore
that our success undermines us,
and this has happened before.

It happened back in ancient Greece,
and it happened to ancient Rome,
when we wipe out all our hardships,
when our struggles are banished, gone,
we find ourselves in a mismatch,
we find ourselves rather bored,
our minds are made to solve problems,
this is a fact we can’t ignore.
Part of us craves security,
and leads us to suppress the fact
that instinct craves volatility,
without it we go off track.
We even stop having children,
when not faced with hardship and death,
lose that urge for immortality
if we know what’s coming next.
The ultimate contradiction,
that in order to really live
we must feel like the end is near,
and without that, we’re bored as sh-t,
losing the age-old impulse to
keep things going and carry on,
we are evolved for the struggle,
and without it things go wrong.

Harder still is it to realize
that the fact we all now survive
leads to growing mutations that
make it harder for us to thrive.
As late as the 1800s
half of us died when we were young,
a thought that’s sobering to me,
since I know I would’ve been one.
And cruel as it may be to think
all that death may have played a role,
weeded out weakness, mutation,
left those who lived stronger as a whole.
But we’ve always been caring types,
and our science ended this trend,
we stopped all this mortality,
and thought things would get better then.
For many decades that seemed true,
but now the data has reversed,
without Darwin’s remorseless hand
the incentives are now adverse.

CONCLUDES IN PART II.

Premium Member A Time of Good Cheer

Trying hard to keep my spirits up
It's that Christmas time of the year
When one's reminded of Christmas's past
The joy and overflowing good cheer

When friends and family all lived close by
And the love literally flowed unabated
Visits to each other's homes were common
Those feelings can't be imitated

Now friends and family are scattered wide
Modern day caused this sad revelation
Even with Skype and instant messaging
I feel much more in isolation

Friendly kisses and touches are missing
Tender words of love and friendship
Instead this unfeeling computerized way
Just adds to all of life's hardships

Trying hard to keep my spirits up
It's that Christmas time of the year
When one's reminded of Christmas's past
The joy and overflowing good cheer

Premium Member Lyrical Lines of Warm Gratitude To a Maiden

What were you to me may I ask?
And may I answer you real well?
You were at first a secret masque
     of balls whose guests I could not tell;
a maiden who was light of task,
whose thoughts were like a hidden dell.

Oh, but now you're a raven-haired
     with state and rank fit for a queen;
a soul who has most often dared
to be the friend I've seldom seen,
the one to whom I gave and shared
my quiet hopes that might have been!

You're thus to me a map and chart
     to navigate life's hardships through—
the answer to my joyless heart,
and to a world that I did rue.
So now you're the sublimest part
of my life's journey which ensues.

Lena's Lament

      Heroines fought battles, overcame
      hardships to proclaim victory
      Lena's sedentary reel, same same
      Pristine paged humdrum story

      Secure foundation led steadily wed
      Chores' blur bolstered home
      Wholesale whore for husband's bed
      Battle liberated life bemoan

Pencil skirt vixens strut on television
      Bold shoulder pads deception
      Kids' Father ensured ample provision
      Fed a fortress family protection

Frumpy comfort hot oven soap opera
      Glazed gaps, glassed gorgeous
      Razzmatazz Rochelle dating a doctor
      Lena's latent longing engorges

Solution Is a Necessity

solution is a necessity
be a part of the solution
turn down all negativity
let the revolution begin
after all we got nothing
to lose at the end of the day
if we can't stand up
who will stand for us
so buckle your shoes
of faith
set your hope on
God given energy
use the head when needed
use the heart when needed
let the revolution begin
be a part of the revolution

solution is a necessity
are you a part of the solution
are you a part of the problem
you must be a part of one
cos life bleed it so
I guess is not funny any longer
this hunger and hardships
in our third world communities
any more
we have risk it all
we have suffered it all
we have bleed it all
we have died enough
despite we are still dieing
so the youth need a chance
again are you part of
the problem or
a you part of the solution
whose part are you
cos the revolution is on

solution is a necessity
solution is scarce
now we need to make it available
we need to bring Justice back
from it obvious exile
we need to change the change
they can't change
we need to return our love
one home to work for what
they ever dream about
our continent is over populated
I guess with what ?!!
with young youth jobless
and hopeless
so let the fire of the revolution
of solutions keep burning
on the cities of destruction
and you must be part of
the problem or
part of the solution
if not then you could feel the
revolution or join it
is a revolution from the
soul
is a revolution of truth and love
is obvious we need a solution
and is neither a lie that now
solution is a necessity

Premium Member Play Ball

Ahh, the boys of summer are back,
Getting ready for some baseball to play.
And while I wish I could join them out there,
That dream has long past from another day.

Yet I know I'll watch the games often,
Looking to glimpse some memories of old.
Since my love of the game is deep seeded,
As home runs and no-hitters are told.

Being a lifelong fan of the game,
I've enjoyed the history & growth to maintain.
While it has evolved and gone through some changes,
Its roots have essentially stayed the same.

The growth seen in the game has been global,
As many countries now enjoy the sport & teams.
While millions are entertained by watching,
Allowing escape from the hardships and regimes.

Through the popular attraction that's grown,
It's become big business with dollars to match.
But I'll always enjoy the simple pleasures,
Whether it's a stolen base, or someone making a great catch.

Death Sentence

It's always sad & sorrowful when
someone is taking so young from this world
whether it be murder or rape victims
children that disappeared years ago missing it's sickening
but...it's the world we live in yeah I know
death is a given but when it's taken from
the youth it's a tragedy a travesty
so every life that's lost...it feels like I...
knew them personally like one of my own family
you see I wear my emotions on my sleeves
so tell me while you're reading my
facial expression...what do you see
can you see it the anger hatred & turmoil
as a people how far we've fallen tell me
who's gonna catch us I know we live reckless oh Lord
but please have mercy on this nation
yes we are waiting to be taken from this place and
I can relate I lost a few comrades
it's like we writing off our own fate
when we let this world consume us
because we grew up with single mothers
& dads it's a sad site and we in the fight
of our life to stay alive overcome the temptations
of hardships and wanting to commit suicide or be a homicide victim
so I beg of you oh Lord throw us down some
comfort help us to rebuke the demons
help us to never overlook repentance
so that you never hear our prayers talking about
yet another death sentence

What is family?

What is family?

What is family but a constant twisted endless winding road.

We travel down and down looking for the perfect family, hoping and praying that they understand.

Family isn’t always blood it is what we make it sometimes family can be ice cold, they don’t always understand but there will always be people who will lift you up and be your best friend.

Your best friend in times of need when family isn’t always there or when family chooses to judge when they simply don’t need to judge based off their own greed.

Family is what we make it not what we are born into if you ask me it’s something that we all do.

We all choose what to do,we all know right from wrong but some people choose to blame you and say you’re wrong.

Why are we wrong if we are making mistakes,we learn from mistakes even when our lives are at stake.

In my life I have been judged and berated yet through it all I’ve never hated,I’ve never hated those who have trespassed me,I’ve never hated those who have judged me I have never hated anyone and I never will, even if family is sometimes a hard pill,a hard pill to swallow sometimes it’s a placebo, a harsh and sour placebo that isn’t always a sweet pill, sometimes it’s bitter and sometimes it’s sweet and sometimes it’s just what we need.

Family should be there for when we are hurt most instead of laughing, mocking and judging and making a toast.

Like it’s one big celebration like we deserve to have hardships in life well let me tell you that, that isn’t who you are in life.

You are so much better then your haters and so much better then the fake faces of kindness and care, you have a strong head upon your shoulders and people who care will always be there.

Premium Member Crossing a Storm

______________________________________________________________

Life's journey has ups and downs.
We strive and grow in harsh storms.
But be calm, dear soul—this will drown.
You have an unwavering will to transform.

In pandemonium, darkness surrounds.
The flashing of pure light astounds.
Accept faulty, distorted, and imperfect conflict.
These trials will reveal your actual convict.

Avoid sly vileness, pride, and malice.
Accept a humble spirit, and let your spirit soar.
Directly defeat yourself with each status.
In mastering ourselves, you gain a true core.

Through the storm, we sail with grit and grace.
Knowing that within us lies a sacred space,
Space of unmatched power and resilience.
Revealing our genuine selves' experience

This is when the wind and thunder wail.
Consider my soul; your propensity to fly.
The storm may rage, but you can sail.
A pristine spirit awaits to lead the way.

Through hardships, you'll succeed.
Faith and dedication will earn you glory.
Maintain attention on the path to proceed.
You'll soon discover strength and fury.

The storm may be long and astonishing.
Remember, you are not alone not tarnishing.
With every step you bear, you grow and learn.
With each struggle, your passion will burn.
