Premium Member Ghost Town

Way up there in the Colorado mountains at around 9000 feet,
There once was a thrivin' village that served as the county seat.
It was a boom and bust town that now lies in desolate shambles,
Its one-time stately buildin's now overgrown with creepin' brambles.

'Tis said that a vein of gold was discovered when a feller dug deep,
To bury a friend who was gored to death by an irate mountain sheep!
His discovery was known as Dead Man's claim and the rush was on,
And to the place hordes of miners, gamblers and rabble was drawn.

There were three or four rowdy saloons on each and every block,
Servin' booze and featurin' high-kickin' women around the clock.
A Methodist church and a school brought a tad of culture to the place.
Folks of finer tastes thought 'soiled doves' paradin' about a disgrace!

An untended graveyard gives witness to the wickedness of the town,
As headstone etchin's reveal the doom of many who were gunned down!
Yet is heard the phantom sounds from saloons from rabble goin' bananers,
Fightin', gamblin' and dancin' to the tinklin' of out-of-tune peeaners!

Northerly winds prod tumble weeds up and down dusty thoroughfares,
Streets once teemin' with humanity goin' about their nefarious affairs.
Now is only heard the ghostly creakin' of rusty hinges on saggin' doors,
When frigid winter winds bear down upon those dreary windswept moors!

Premium Member Land of Confusion

When hatred and fear become a fusion
We live in a terrible land of confusion

Watch the elite dogs all bark
When they see the revolutionary spark

The problem is our world is burning
And the masses not caring is concerning

The reality is intelligence is what they fear
So they keep us dumb so we'll never be a peer

Men gunned down relentlessly on the street
It is through racial division we find defeat

When we are locked in a war of brother versus brother
It gives the elites an excuse for our rights to smother

Let us be clear that it is not up for debate
That you cannot defeat hate with hate

This is the world we live in but is it worth fighting for
And if we're ready to do battle for more

For many existing day to day is just a pain
So many with nothing to gain, so many slain

When I watch the news it is with a heavy heart
At how families can be so easily ripped apart

Forever burdened by the deceased voices of the dead
Damned to an evil system their souls were fed

And those who remain are simply here to ask why
We allow ourselves to live this atrocious lie

The machine grows and promotes the groth of cancer
And I'm not here to pretend as if I have the answer

I'm just another guy trying to live out my insignificant dreams
In a world that crushes the imagination of children it seems

If we are ever going to defeat the greed
Hope is something we need

We live in a terrible land of confusion
But it does not have to be the final conclusion

Premium Member Red Dog Remembered

A wrestlers kapi pup born in the town of Porapoo
Red Dog~The Pilabara wonderer with lurid tales' legion
A bold spirited canine he, an Aussie through and through
Roaming free the red earth of the wide Northwestern region

He pawed a ride with John, an iron miner, when lost.
They became close mates, good sports to remember.
But drinking and poker took their grim cost.
John was gunned down in 'ts, the first day of September.

Now as Red Dog roamed quietly unconsoled
Cars, buses and trucks offered him rides, hugs and food.
For his hard-luck story had been told and retold
With good Aussies determined to brighten his mood

For the rest of his days Red Dog roamed about
Stopping cars now and them for food and a ride
His loud flatulations signaled 'twas time to get out.
With nature his friend and kind folks who abide

Pilbar mourned with muted disbelief,
When the poisoned body of Red Dog was found
A bronze statue stands for friends to bow in grief.
May Red Dog rest well in his much-loved native ground.

Ever Since I Experienced Being Significantly Monetarily Sidelined

Ever since I experienced being significantly monetarily sidelined...
(how about that topic for a change of pace?)

Yes back to getting walloped, decked
and clubbed courtesy cold hearted brute,
who casually, glad handedly, and royally
flushed out mine tailored pricey suit
wherein every pocket
once stashed, and lined with loot.

Ever since scamming imbroglio
(three weeks ago today -
July eleventh two thousand twenty three)
yours truly, a formerly
happy go lucky wordsmith
immune to the plethora
of devious shenanigans
courtesy predacious traitors
to the bywords of honesty and integrity
scamper away with laundered money.

Mine fantasy modus operandi to cope
regarding falling prey
to hoax gullible guy
to surrender crisp greenbacks
entrapment like a dope
no matter poet of Penn Valley
at the end of his figurative rope,
when fraudsters shill and scope
out crosshairs stunning
persons exhibiting naïveté
the following escapist ploy adopted.

E'er since I (a reincarnated cavalier
or gentleman snubbed
by sought after Southern Belle)
at night suicidal ideations
visit psyche as haunting spectre
sublimated death wish
permeates thru mine every cell
courting the grim reaper
to carry me back to carry
me back to Old Virginny,

where lovely bones
of me Confederate ancestors dwell
upon bloody fields farewell
to arms and legs
mounted battlefields when groundswell
of internecine warfare
made life on earth
wind and fire created a living hell
he who fleeced me
vengeance doth impel
to imagine him gunned down
as enemy numero uno.

Moribund courtesy online heist
me entire being feels
chopped, minced, and appallingly diced,
hence no surprise

sheepishly admitting to ewe
how yours truly still feels blue
aghast at passivity prevailed
how grievousness flourishes
checking and savings accounts
frankly zapped analogous
how David regarding Goliath he slew,
yet impossible mission
to know your enemy

with absolute zero details,
cuz the fly by night scamp
flat out sold pack of lies
of course I voluntarily
must admit straightaway and true
mine fingers converted cash
to bitcoin currency
yet entranced, kickstarted, seduced
as Harvey Specter
did courtesy sotto voce woo.

The Decade of 80's

The decade
that saw
end of cold war
fall of Berlin Wall.

In Asia
Tianamen Square
student bloodbath,
democracy restored
in Philippines with 'People Power Revolution'..
first big shock of my life--
Indira assassinated.

In sports
'Hand of God' goal by Maradona,
Michael Jackson--his Moonwalk dance,
Stevie Wonder--"I just called to.........."
enjoyed"Rain Man","Driving Miss Daisy".

And in my life
first love,broken heart,
fragmented pieces
still stitching..........

#Indira Gandhi, the Prime Minister of India was gunned down in 1984.

I Cannot Forget Trayvon Martin Slain Teen

I cannot forget Trayvon Martin - slain teen

no matter manifold more young people
unthinkingly killed, who spirits aspire
to ascend higher than a steeple.

revisited and slightly revised today
March 14th, 2021.

One deliberate shameful death,
whose demise linkedin
violent cessation of breath
thank heavy gun wielding hand
innocuous thug disguised
as armed neighborhood watch
firearm brandished
as weapon of choice.

Once again rifling thru outdated drafts,
I unwittingly repost grievous bulletin
that made headlines nine plus years ago,
an innocent lad received fatal shot
into said unarmed teenager's chest
according to testimony
courtesy Doctor Vincent Di Maio.

Memory of aforementioned crime
relegated to dustbin of criminal minds
whereby dime a dozen killings
(nowadays barely register shock)
countless young persons
genetically bequeathed with
healthy dose of melanin
gunned down during their prime.

George Zimmerman (then age 28)
ought to be pitched into the
alligator and crocodile infested Everglade
for his senseless killing (outright murder)
of Trayvon Martin slammed
as involved some illicit wick kid trade
(a slender African American
more precisely youth flush with color
only 17 years young -

(birthdate - February 5th, 1995
death date - February 26th, 2012),
whose martyrdom grows
as days/weeks fade
an exemplary gregarious helpmate
swimming against the tide
to make the grade
now slain while just a youth -
the unfounded killing
by a neighborhood watch volunteer,

who felt afraid
that this dark skinned young man
appeared suspicious pulled the trigger
with comeuppance to be paid
though -- no retribution can restore
lifeless body, still
agitated waters nor offer shade
from the justifiable media frenzy
sparked from Geraldo Rivera made

even with unanimous
approval of guillotine blade
for violence cannot only rejuvenate
a promising future
evinced by Trayvon Martin
reincarnated into tree or leaf blade
but only serves to beget subsequent
violence now unto his grave
said teenager laid!

Premium Member My Tribute to Meir Kahane

Meir Kahane, a visionary, warned us all
Yet far too few heeded his call

Labeled a ‘firebrand’ by all the elites
His message understood by his enemies in the street

He told the West, calmly, what it didn’t want to hear
that Jew-haters' terror would soon have it quaking with fear

And Kahane warned Israel, to have a viable Jewish state
its Arab populace could not be allowed to spew terror and hate

But Israeli liberals said Kahane was ‘racist,’ exiled him to New York city
where a Jew-hater gunned him down in ‘90, a shame and a pity

For now most Israelis see that Kahane was right
terror unchecked has turned the world’s day into night

Premium Member Rwanda Wrongs

In 1957, there existed a plan
To rid Rwanda of the Tutsi clan
Power they had, too much for one side
The foundation for, future Genocide

1960, the monarchy was gone
Will both sides sing the same song
Sadly not as the persecutions start
Ripping this African country apart

1973, under a new regime
Juvénal Habyarimana promised restrain
Progress and reconciliation proposed to be
For this country to unite, finally

1994, Habyarimana gunned down
His assassination, country drowns
This killing of him, the carnage starts
Population half, ripped apart

The killings horrific, no one spared
Machete slain, heads caved
Hacking, be-headings as families fall
As CNN tune in, the world appalled

The continuance, of the slaughtered tribes
Men, women and children you can't describe
Women raped, and the unborn slain
This horrific act of human pain

Most of the fallen, in their own villages dead
By another clan, they thought were friends
Indescribable to the world as our televisions show
The massacre of innocents, as we watch blow by blow

Where does it all end, can we try the same songs
How many more of these Rwanda wrongs
It appears to be a human trait
To kill each other for the sake of it

Premium Member Clarity of Purpose

(This piece is dedicated to those innocent youths gunned down inside institutes of learning, by guns improperly regulated, and utilized by cold, heartless entities who committed these crimes without an iota of guilt or remorse. It is also a bold criticism to those lawmakers who are just as frigid and have done nothing about it and are more concerned about political contributions going to their coffers).

                                           Clarity Of Purpose

Adolescents prodding elders for elucidations responded to evasively
Probing Machiavellian faces heralding scathing biases superciliously
Hindered and challenged fiercely resisting like the endangered tiger
Opposing mortal greed searching for answers revitalizing will power

Bullets impale youths with weapons running rampant on the streets
Second amendment used as shield whilst corpses bloodstain sheets
Talking heads blatantly blamed mental disorder as the sole offender
While the fragmented system of law abandons to uphold a defender

Mired in the abyss of ambiguity noble objectives negates doomsday
Induced by human instincts defying monsters lurking along the way
The mind ponders are they worth venerating if they conceal disgust
Clarity of purpose stained with wicked machination morph into dust

Amidst the Sorrow - Aurora Does Shine

Twas a dark knight,
whence there came a pawn the hushed crowded movie house
A phantom of horror sprung out of the rookery that wrought deadly havoc
Renting asunder innocent audience members
Anticipating Batman annihilate evil within Manichean eternal duel
Extant within imaginary world of Gotham portrayed on the silver screen
When out of the black curtained theater tear gas canisters got hurled pell mell
Accompanied by a fusillade of heavy machine gun fire
Sheering many lives
Many in the prime ascent sans parabola of adulthood
The youngest, a six-year-old girl transformed into an ashen colored corpse
Which death yet revealed to her young mother
Critically wounded, and clamoring for said daughter
While teetering on the brink of mortality
Oblivious to stricken offspring
While family, friends, relatives and anonymous prayers
And this heartfelt genuine communiqué
From me – a self styled nonestablishmentarian
Gung-ho to invoke a mandate that high powered fire-arms
Must be much less accessible
I.e. bulletproof laws need implementation pronto
So inhabitants of these United States do not fear for their lives
Nor feel akin to a potential prey sighted in the crosshairs
Wantonly gunned down from some grinning joker
Slaking glee from mass killing as to appease unquenchable thirst
To avenge some psychotic nemesis gloating to slay
With a vengeance and contrived vendetta
Promulgating pandemonium and grisly bloody aftermath
Yet despite such horrific heinous atrocity
Bravery and sacrifice witnessed and extolled
From heroic instinctual motive to offer themselves as human shield
So that carnage less devastating than toll on madman’s hit list
Now in solitary confinement and even if executed
Would be a Pyrrhic salve to those forever deprived of loved ones
Burning with an eternal sorrow no matter
Generosity of cyber sympathizers across World Wide Web
Plus the president of these United States
Reach out showering kindness analogous to Borealis raiment!
