Moods of Change
I have sensed, I feel, I have seen, growing impressions
imprinted upon the walls, inside my skull, impressions
that hang heavy within my D.N.A, like ghostly shadows
streaking across the empty spaces of my minds windows
as my days and nights – closing in on me – seem to be
slipping away, – being dragged ever onward – into a sea
of black holes,– with such gravitational force - you’ll find me
being sucked in, along with those leaving the last ray
of their life’s light, always fighting all that comes our way,
hanging on tightly to the fragile edges of what remains to day
of a reality, that has long since, gone to memory,
gone to dust, blown away by winds telling a story
of lives lived, experiences had and of life decaying
as we walk this plane, for a better future, we are praying

Drift Wood
There is this used less appendage
that once – maybe – during the course
of a passing month, rises, falls, becomes the useless,
meaningless, remnant of the past, a standing protrusion,
that does little more then lay idle,
even at times, when it gets revved up,

Paths
As we come to the end of that long road,
it becomes much harder to carry the load,
find a path that our psyche legs can climb
as they take us from a journey, once sublime
and into the past that has come in rhyme.

The Drift
by Odin Roark
How far such distance?
One’s birth is so innocent
Only to be lifted
Set alight to learn gravity
Where emotions
Intellect
Transcendence
All vie for a bit of influence
Such small minds
Of gaping eyes
Gaze at the unknown
While adults
Parents
Teachers
Clergy
Smile
Announce without foresight
Welcome!
So goes the drift
That levitational ricochet
Set up by massive influences
Bumping
Pulling
Shoving
Trajectories destined for…
Who knows?
Unknown reason
Becomes one’s journey
Even though some assume an answer
Wisdom suggests
We may not have a clue
Nature doesn’t play the same games
Human species wallow in
Our intelligence betrays us
Tricks us into believing
We have the answer
When all along
What if there be no confirmations
Only delusional answers?
Will we still plod forward
Believing we can overcome
The enigmatic gravitational force
That which often pulls our heart down
Usually into sadness
Our mind
Usually into crushing disappointment
Our souls…
Well
I’ll leave that to the supernaturally bright
The elite who know not drifting
At least not until…
as I parachute down
this journey called life
may my parachute have been packed
by my Lord Christ
I desire to engage
In a free fall with God
for He's the gravitational force
propelling my heart
and as I descend
into my Lord's arms
let me land safe and free
from any and all harm
I desire to engage
In a free fall with God
for He's the gravitational force
propelling my heart
euphoric and empowered
free from strife
among the clouds floating
with my Lord Christ
fear has melted away
now overwhelmed with joy
the rush of freedom in me
has been deployed
and as I transcend
let nothing interfere with my trajectory
for my eyes are on God
and I'll land where He wants me to be
I desire to engage
In a free fall with God
for He's the gravitational force
propelling my heart
and as I canopy down
let me rest in perfect peace
for this mind-blowing journey
has allowed me to freshly breathe
let me engage in a free fall
with my Lord God
for He alone is the gravitational force
propelling my heart
In the middle of the universe, I stand
My mind seeking comprehension
The mysteries of life tantalize my tenacious grip on wisdom
I stand
Observing omnipotent organization
The universe expands as I stand in wonder
What does it all mean?
Infinite answers press against my finite mind
Clamoring for recognition
I stand: dazed, amazed, crazed
By all I don’t know and can never fathom
Until there is light
And the light dawns
And the meaning of the universe unravels
Your celestial body orbits mine
Time after time
Your gravitational force defies logic
Refusing to stay in the paths ordained
The laws of nature are flaunted
and...we collide
My head is crowned with your constellation kisses
I travel in the nebula of your dreams and fantasies
As you dip into my body the Milky whiteness of your WAY
The universe explodes in the starry heavens of your eyes
Meteorite words of ecstasy
Streak across my sky of consciousness
Blazing...
Time becomes a non-entity
The mystery of love overshadows the mystery of life
And now I see…
The beginning and end of all creation
The sum total of my existence
Of life
Of the universe
Of...EVERYTHING
Is here
It’s eternal
In the middle of the universe, I stand
I understand
The universe is LOVE
In the Middle of the Universe I Stand Contest

Why should we hire you?
I guarantee this is the only conversation
we will have while I work here
Why did you leave your last job?
The tried to make we ask an 95 year old if she needed insurance for her 2 year deceased husbands PlayStation 5
What is your weakness?
It’s either my concentration or
When did you get there
What are your strengths?
I am great at ignoring questions
Good with Subzero in Mortal
I am amazing at pretending to be sick
I have a brilliant coughing emoji
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Creating a time machine and coming all the way back here to stop me from taking this job
Are you Sarah Conner
Tell me about your ability to work under pressure?
For let me think
All of my life I have been pulled by a gravitational force and under the same air pressure as everyone in this room.
Yes I can send the next person in no pressure
Describe your management style?
I manage to avoid as many of the management as I can over the whole works hours
and that goes double outside of work
Why have you been unemployed for so long?
Now I am gonna take this in too parts
Unemployed
Technically I was employed by the government
to look after my terminally ill wife
So long now is that a comparison
But to what
That mountain that shadows your office
Has hardly stretched
A humming bird has flapped its last
The middle of the ocean has began a wave
So long
This was fun let’s not do it again
What is your dream job?
Well my dream job would be like a little factory
Conveying belts moving clouds of dreams
People forcing them in boxes
While chewing sandwiches
I have a corner office where I get to design them
I am a head dream architect
Yes I can follow security
Legend goes on discovery of
Universal Law of Gravitation
as an apple from tree just fell off
on ground, watched by Sir Isaac Newton.
He considered ripen apple
as experimental sample.
Free fall of fruit made him curious.
Scientist started thinking serious.
On detachment from stalk aftermath
the apple neither hangs in air
nor goes up under wind’s care,
but is bound to fall on Earth.
Great Gravitational force is responsible.
To escape attraction of Earth is impossible
for all earthly materials.
Gravity claims credentials.
The Mathematician and Physicist Sir Isaac Newton discovered Theory of
Gravity. Gravitational Force acts between all pairs of bodies. He formulated
the Inverse Square Law of Universal Gravitation in 1687.

The Rain doesn't ring my doorbell,?Like it did before.?It comes in slow and gradually,?Like a storm moving in from a distance.
At first, it is simply in the air;?A light pressure next to my sitting area,?As an empty, cold stillness envelopes me,?Where previously was laughter, joy, and light.
And then the ocean begins to rise,?More and more rapidly as time passes.?It rises with such force that it is impossible to escape.?The clouds created a barrier from the sun.
Previously, there had been brightness;?Now, there is nothing but shadow.?Previously, there was laughter;?Now, you are alone, and it is only a memory.
I am breathing on borrowed time.?It feels as if I do not belong to this place anymore.?I know that I have seen the ocean before,?As I can feel its gravitational force on me.
I know the power of the ocean;?And I am aware of the subtle whispers from the ocean in my ear,?"Don't try to be courageous;?Just sink below and don't move."
But waves do not have one shape;?They are continuously changing and moving to create a storm.?They rise high above the ocean;?They crash down on the ocean;?They seek and touch you everywhere.
As they crash down upon me,?Their salty water gets in my eyes and mouth.
They fall just as waves fall,
they are just an example of how each wave can crash to the shore and then withdraw.
Each fallen wave of blue has great intensity while an individual wave is formed and crashes,
but after it falls or crashes, it will fold back into itself.
All the while there remains a long, solid, stable surface where each wave fell, and still is waiting for another wave of water to crash on top of it.
The surface below the ocean's surface does not move when a wave crashes.
The ground under the ocean will stay perfectly still,
and when all the waves have come and gone,
there will be a place for all of your footprints to be put into the ground.
News is there is water ice on the darkest side
of the moon, I wouldn’t drink it just yet,
A gray dirt snow cone is what we’ll get!
Sustaining the cislunar economy, or
linking the moon to the Earth is everything.
Our psyche thirsts for it, bursts of lunar power.
Moon water made during the full moon
or the new moon is most potent.
Tapping into the Luna’s source by steeping
it’s moonglaze, and underneath tomorrow’s
“Ice Moon” it’ll be charged fully.
We are seventy percent water.
The moon affects earthly phenomena,
like tides with its gravitational force.
Our mental state changes with the moon’s phases.
We absorb the Luna's positive aura.
A rare thunderstorm on a full luminous orb,
collects in a glass the energy of the moon
directly under its glow. Charged by the moon’s energy,
Energy so intense it moves oceans!
In his cowboy outfit, young Danny was eloquently clad.
He'd never been throwed from his rockin' horse as a tad!
He aspired to be a cowboy and eventually got his chance,
But soon learned that cowboyin' wasn't all fun and romance!
The first thing he had to do was learn to ride a horse,
And then hire on as a ranch hand in due course.
With rockin' horse experience, he thought it a simple tour de force,
But he took many a bone rattlin' spill due to gravitational force!
He throwed the saddle on the horse and cinched it down too tight!
The horse would have none of that and unseated Dan with all his might!
His head was reelin' as he landed in a not too convenient cactus patch!
Extractin' thorns from his stern he mused, "Have I met my match?"
The horse, named Killer, glared at Dan with fire in his eyes!
He managed to climb aboard again - Boys, was he in for a surprise!
Again, that old bronc turned belly high landin' on all four feet.
Danny sprawlin' in the dust was ready to admit defeat!
Old-time cowpokes smokin' roll-yer-owns, hangin' around the corral,
Urged him on a-yellin', "Hang on greenhorn! Yippee Yo! Ride 'im pal!"
Dan lying in a heap of manure looked up and said, "Boys, he beat me good!
I reckon I'd better look around and find myself another livelihood!"
