Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required The Rain doesn't ring my doorbell,?Like it did before.?It comes in slow and gradually,?Like a storm moving in from a distance. At first, it is simply in the air;?A light pressure next to my sitting area,?As an empty, cold stillness envelopes me,?Where previously was laughter, joy, and light. And then the ocean begins to rise,?More and more rapidly as time passes.?It rises with such force that it is impossible to escape.?The clouds created a barrier from the sun. Previously, there had been brightness;?Now, there is nothing but shadow.?Previously, there was laughter;?Now, you are alone, and it is only a memory. I am breathing on borrowed time.?It feels as if I do not belong to this place anymore.?I know that I have seen the ocean before,?As I can feel its gravitational force on me. I know the power of the ocean;?And I am aware of the subtle whispers from the ocean in my ear,?"Don't try to be courageous;?Just sink below and don't move." But waves do not have one shape;?They are continuously changing and moving to create a storm.?They rise high above the ocean;?They crash down on the ocean;?They seek and touch you everywhere. As they crash down upon me,?Their salty water gets in my eyes and mouth. They fall just as waves fall, they are just an example of how each wave can crash to the shore and then withdraw. Each fallen wave of blue has great intensity while an individual wave is formed and crashes, but after it falls or crashes, it will fold back into itself. All the while there remains a long, solid, stable surface where each wave fell, and still is waiting for another wave of water to crash on top of it. The surface below the ocean's surface does not move when a wave crashes. The ground under the ocean will stay perfectly still, and when all the waves have come and gone, there will be a place for all of your footprints to be put into the ground.
