Herd Mentality

Often I hear people complain about the simplest of things
In seemingly going insane with the little details life brings
Perhaps it's the traffic or a long line at the grocery store
Just take your own pick for I know there are a lot more

When we have so much as compared to other countries
We seemed to have lost touch with what the eye sees
For so many have far less but rarely will they complain
For they don't see it as mess but they still feel the pain

Their lines are much longer even to just get some water
Oh if I was a bit stronger waiting in line to place my order
Having to wait a whole hour for a doctors appointment
You wouldn't be sour knowing most of them never went

Sitting there at that red light just waiting for it to turn
My goodness, such a plight as we never seem to learn
What will a big storm do If ripples can rock your boat
We need to act more like a sheep and less like a goat

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Separating Me Unto You

November 11 Scripture Meditations Based on Galatians 1-2

Key Verse – Galatians 1:15 … It pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR SEPARATING ME UNTO YOU

Thank You for separating me unto You by Your mercy
From sinfulness’ evil persistency
Toward Your available pardon-sufficiency
Against my iniquity-inflicted deficiency.

Thank You for separating me unto You by Your grace
From nothingness’ vain trance
Toward Your steadfast salvation-brace
Against my worthlessness-ignited race.

Thank You for separating me unto You by Your goodness
From transgressions’ awful perilousness
Toward Your full forgiveness-righteousness
Against my transgression-afflicted guiltiness.

Thank You for separating me unto You by Your sanctification
From worldliness’ destructive abomination
Toward Your transformative holiness-direction
Against my pride-triggered ambition.

Thank You for separating me unto You by Your care
From bitterness’ apathetic stare
Toward Your compassionate love-welfare
Against my unbelief-gripped scare.

Thank You for separating me unto You by Your providence
From hell’s grievous residence
Toward Your wise control-confidence
Against my stubbornness-moved diffidence.

Thank You for separating me unto You by Your sovereignty
From selfishness’ idolatrous infirmity
Toward Your sure guidance-authority
Against my disobedience-pushed superiority.

Premium Member Meet a Man of Asia In the Person of My Father

My Dad is an Asian, declared by his color and height...
…since the supreme Lord has blessed him with that heritage
Through such physique, he performs well by great faith’s might
…that upholds his prayer life he regards as an advantage!

He is my Daddy dearest, my human fortress…
…who loves me, his darling daughter, as he trusts the Father’s grace.
Assertively adamant is he when his point he can stress
…yet readily laughs out loud when he loses in our debate-race.

I delight in his prudent sense of humor...
…with his wholesome jokes that need analyses
His boyish looks (decades ago) earned my Mom’s favor
…especially his mature perspective in facing crises.

A champion in his family-roles’ fulfillment…
…my Dad is a model of "the responsible provider"
He is governed by his faithfulness’ commitment
…and entitled with the award for "the steadfast home-builder!"

I thank God for my father* and his pampering kindness…
…but he has never “spoiled” me; that I can testify
To the Almighty I entrust my Dad’s years-bountifulness…
…for him to enjoy His goodness as His name he does magnify!

*Psalm 103:13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

*Proverbs 10:7 The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

Daddy Roberto passed away on January 2, 2019, as he was called to be with the Lord forever. Dad, by the grace and power of the Lord, left us - his children and his grandchildren - with a great testimony of a blessed fulfilled life as a husband, father, brother, church member, community contributor; indeed a virtuous life-builder.

Premium Member Trolls

I can remember as a kid a toy that was popular, that I had called trolls
They were funny little cavemen with colorful hair and eyes the glowed
It was the fad to collect them all and to trim and shape their funny hair
They were fun to style and show off their funny fashion flair

Once the fad was over, they became the subject of horror movies
Depicted as nasty, mischievous little demons that were loony
They were evil green looking monsters out to get revenge
A goal of taking over the world where goodness would end

Trolls now take on the latter meaning in today’s world
Lurking quietly and hidden until they come out unfurled
Slinging verbal attacks toward others that are vile and mean
Mainly cowards that are full of hot hair blowing off steam

Trolls can go away and back to their miserable lonely homes
Stay out of the limelight and stop throwing hurtful stones
Trolls best belong as memories of sweet childhood toys
Not cowardly beings out expressing hatred just to annoy

Premium Member Milk Delivery ephemera poetry

In the morning light, a milk bottle stands,
A relic of bygone days, in my trembling hands.
Embossed with nostalgia, a link to the past,
From the dairy farm, where memories last.

As a little girl, I'd wait with glee,
For the sound of the milkman, with bottles three.
Clad in white, with a smile so kind,
Bringing fresh milk, a treasure to find.

The clink of glass, the cool touch of the jar,
Filled with creamy goodness, from cows afar.
A cap of foil, a symbol of care,
Delivered with love, from the dairy farm fair.

Each morning ritual, a simple delight,
The taste of fresh milk, a pure delight.
In that old bottle, a story untold,
Of days gone by, of memories bold.

Now the milkman is gone, the farm a memory,
Yet in that bottle, lives a legacy.
Of childhood moments, of innocence so sweet,
In the simple act of milk delivery, a connection complete.

Premium Member Love Is

LOVE IS... from A to Z:

Almighty force since God* is omnipotent source
Building life along grace toward triumphant course…

Compassion at work, exemplified by Lord Christ
Directed for man’s redemption, heavenly priced…

Earnest care for others, setting aside own need
Fulfilling the biblical altruism creed…

Goodness of welfare motive, goodwill prevailing
Hoisting hope against helplessness assailing…

Inspiration gearing influential impact
Jubilant feeling and joyous state with truth’s fact…

Kindness kindling our urges toward reaching-out
Liberating us from selfishness and greed’s clout…

Mercy, moving heart for ministry endeavour
Nurturing souls through counsel of wisdom savour…

Oh! Gift of the Spirit to grant with freedom choice
Personally shown over apathetic poise…

Quickening touch propping meaningful survival
Re-creating existence with blest revival…

Signature of charity, cheering self-esteem
Transforming “me first” attitude toward “we team”…

Understanding “Love thy neighbor as thyself” sense
Valuing togetherness, and each one’s presence…

Worthy treasure to cherish; more precious when shared
Xenial with thankful bliss as praise, totally bared…

Yielding lustful gain so that peace for all will reign
Zealous to do best, honouring the Lord --- love’s main.

To Loud To Whisper

THE NONSENCE OF BEING LOVED
IS SEEN BY THOSE WHO HAVE
                 LOVERS AS TRIVAL, AND SOME-
                       THING TO BE IGNORED.
                  THAN MIGHT THEY EXPLORE TO
                     AGAIN BE COUPLED BY THE
                     OF SOMEONE, THEY DON'T
                      THOUGHTS OF SOMEONE
                    THEY DON'T KNOW OR WISH
                             NOT TO KNOW.
         ARTICULATE THE THINKING OF FRUSTATION
                       YET IT'S DETERMINATION
IS CITED IN WHAT SOME MIGHT THINK TO
                         BE UNREAL OR OBSEEN.
           OSCILLATION AND GRATIFCATION SPEAKS
FROM WORDS, ACTED TO BE REAL
                                TO THOUGHTS
            YET IT'S REFRAMIZIUM, IS STISIFICATION
IT CAUSES DRIFTS, AND KEEPS US APART
                           PATTERNS AND TRAITS
                       AND FOR GOODNESS SAKES
WHAT IS SPOKEN IS TRACED TO EXPOSE
              THE RESEARCH THE AUTHER PROCLAIMS
                         HERDITY AND VARIATION
                      CLEARIFICATION, SPEAKS TO
                   HAVE HIS INTENTIONS REVEALED
                           VISIONS OF THE MIND
                              TO TRY TO DEFINE
                        AN EXPERIENCE TO INFLUENCE
                              THE WAY PEOPLE FEEL
                                A BLENDED MULIPLE
                              AN AMBIGUOUS DESIGN
                             TO THE END TIME REVEALS
