Lift Off the Lid For Peace
This world so filled with its madness
it seems to press a self-destruct button
such is mankind's depth of sin
so it's goodness sums up to nothing
God declares any righteousness of man
is to His eyes just filthy rags indeed
for the Lord God demands only perfection
leaving mankind lost only to plead
Pleading for freedom from their sin
looking for a saviour to be their salvation
to find peace in their troubled heart
only a perfect sacrifice for a redemption
From heaven comes a certain hope
Jesus the God-man brings peace
taking man's sin on himself totally
then God's peace shall never cease
This is perfect love simply supreme
God's peace lies deep in the heart
bursting through man's ultimate madness
so God gives man a brand new start
