The Serpentine road winds endlessly,
Adrenaline rushes in my body, passion fills my mind
Even if the road ends, the best is still ahead.
Everything paused when I first saw your eyes,
My heart races when we meet gazes
I admire poetry with adulation — only with you.
Amber shades glisten in enchanting waves,
Your familiar gaze makes me fall for you
Butterflies flutter in my stomach exhilarated.
As I scribble your name on pieces of paper
When I meet other girls my mind returns to you
My nightmares revolve around the fear of losing you.
The stars glimmer in an ecstatic glow above us
I find you shining in the gleam of our twilight
Seasons may end and shift but I am still me-
When our lips unite, I feel as if the galaxy is exploding
You say you love me most, and I can't control my feelings.
The beating of your heart is so melodic
A tune that sends vibrations down my spine
Inside of you, is me, I am finally home.
Do you know who you are ?
Do you know who you are ?
Do you know your name?
Do you know what you hold ?
Do you know what you gain?
You like a picture with a frame
You have one shot
To make it plain
Make it plain
Crystal ?? clear
You are magnificent dear
Who you are
Will take you far
You glisten
A total star ??
Do you know
Your name
Greatness is in your veins
(Repeat 1x)
Look at you
You should be proud
Pat yourself on the back
It's been a while
Since you put
You first
A great asset
To this earth
A favorite verse
To a song
This is where you belong
You belong on the top
Keep on climbing ??
please don't stop
Do you know
Your name
Greatness is in your veins
(Repeat 1x)
Do you know
I hope you do
Theres no one
Like you
(Repeat 1x)
Do you know
Your name
Greatness is in your veins
(Repeat until chorus fades )

Just Listen
Still, a lonesome dream
Pausing to reveal God’s peace
He is writing on a frozen stream
Hallelujahs falling from the skies
Gentle echoes of nature’s scream
Floating and settling, serenity
Still, in the colors of grace
Joy that blesses the dawn’s light
Drifts of beautiful, soul’s embrace
Diving in colors of dreamy white
Forcing the wonder into our face
Hesitating, laughing, tender flakes
Still, a silence as steady as night
Misty blessings on an afternoon hike
Rhythms of calm in a breathless fight
Wings glisten, pounding the nebulous air
As clouds wed to paint the earth soft white
Revealing trembling lashes who weep praises
Still, in the wonderland created by the flakes
Wind dances over the mountains, drifting
Through the grieving echoes silence makes
A precious still who lifts the heart and soul
Assuring us the Creator never forsakes
His will, snow and wind, caress with beautiful
Still, like the moment when I first heard the news
That winter was traveling across the pages
Of a land who’d felt much louder without her muse
A land where everything changed with the presence
The prayer, sturdy and strong, as gentler hearts snooze
Remembering, it is winter and we belong in this soft
Still, reflected on the moments where praise is spoken
On the distance, in the icicle’s edges, on the stars
With each quiet flake, dancing and roaming on the broken
Winds, the tears feel like shadows laced with light
Reminding every spirit of this winter, who’s so outspoken
Painting the earth in her white silence – this still…
Still that feels so alive, so bright, so much like a quiet sleep
When the entire world remembers – we’re meant to be
Filled with love and hope, love so very deep
It is never hidden beneath a blanket of snow
Instead, it glistens like the glittering sweep
Who is laughing, steady and true, through this world so still…
A world filled with nature’s splendor
Softly covered with a blanket of white glitter
A covering of joy, gentle and tender
Attempting to prove to each of us
How this still can’t be a natural offender
This still is the music of God’s angels… just listen
I walk alone at night
Darkness shields the sight
Of my tears falling for you
I walk alone at night
Dwelling within moon light
My tears glisten like stars above
Remembering those days of spring
Remembering all those happy things
We use to do when I was with you
The wisp of autumn is crisp
The feel of sadness is amiss
Happiness is adrift beyond the clouds
I gaze upon Heaven afar
Happiness dwells in a blink of a star
Memories of you flash in my heart
I walk alone at night
Darkness shields the sight
Of my tears falling for you
I walk alone at night
Dwelling within moon light
My tears glisten like stars above.
A Senator who had courage to stand
Don’t be afraid and didn’t bend to Trump’s demand
Senator Booker brought strength and democracy to life
He was actually giving us advice
He showed and provided his confidence
It was obvious
A Senator being a mover and shaker
Showed out on the Capitol floor
Standing for “WE THE PEOPLE”
Just that simple
Democrats were seen in a whole light
His message to the world, “DON’T PULL AWAY”
Senator Booker showed there is power
You must speak up and out
He was worth the listen
His marathon speech brought the capitol floor sheer glisten
He will be remembered in history books and many years to come
Senator Booker showed political history has been made
Unless one speaks, you are just blee
Tomorrow is here now preserver
Show no fear
Senator Booker is always near
It’s up to “WE THE PEOPLE” to be involved
There are numerous problems to solve
It’s the WHITE HOUSE and HOUSE AND SENATE ON BOTH SIDES to resolve
Senator Booker made it quite clear
No one should live in fear
Voices that can be spoken can bring change
I applaud Senator Cory Booker
A no stops Senator
He stood and was heard
Now action America
Senator Cory Booker has spoken
Stride on America.
The Only Star For Me
Only One Star For Me !
Me dedicated to thee.
Only Star and that is you
in prominent view,
in my heart to glisten
on every pulse to listen.
One star since consciousness:
My supreme happiness.
Scintillating sparkling to inspire
Enchanter Emperor in my empire.
An ineffable emotive urge
oozing up rushing on surge.
Simply to surprise !
Nothing to surmise.
An ineffaceable passion
reckoned by introspection.
Dormant desires to unravel :
Your glance to guide and marvel.

The Only Star for Me
Contest by Mystic Rose Rose
Why do they glisten so, these pools of light,
my trembling senses lost in ardour sweet?
As stars they sparkle gently in the night
and dance to rhythms of my own heartbeat.
I gaze deep deep into a magic glade
where intertwining lovers each caress,
as silvered waters softly serenade
and sporting moonbeams do the shadows bless.
Soft silken creature of my dearest dreams,
I ache to hold you fast within my arms,
to breathe in scents of paradise. It seems
to die would pay small homage to your charms.
The book of love is filled with many a rhyme,
of lovers' promises and tender sighs,
but few could match this fervent pen of mine,
as, drowning in the lustre of your eyes,
my heart must surely burst asunder,
lost in unfathomable wonder.
This mystical aura of golden radiant sunbeams so sublime
With a warm mead laying lovely below its enchanted neck,
Is breathless releasing gasps of white-hot-fire breaths now,
All spiritual within one and a thousand sighs, it whistles too.
Brightly your radiance shines through the deep blue oceans
Where rainbows are misted with shades inside a desire born,
With curtains falling—revealing a beauty spot held precious,
Whilst in your heart glows warmly a true love priceless pure.
A royal crown bestoweth upon thine mantel of soft ‘n purest silk,
Now spangled as dewdrops glisten brightest on mirrored slippers,
As a divine swan upon one wave began dancing on joyous ripples,
An old Irish jig played on in this moment dancing you and I, as two.
The Merry Old Leprechaun looked on with his wee-soft eye twinkle
As the Sun Goddess giveth her divine breath to this sacred harvest;
Now to beareth the sweetest of fruit with warmest rays of gentleness,
So all can shareth this grandest garden moment of holy eternal glory.
We all shall now, forever and ever, prosper in this heavenly abundance
Whilst we sheddeth a most wee-curious light into this eternal paradise,
As you and I, and the Merry Old Leprechaun shareth a passion so true,
We drinketh gladly the sweet ‘n stout Irish Nectar of the Sun Goddess!

Serenade Me, Julius La Rosa
His striped tie has a green tint color
And his hands are dark and bulging with blood.
I can see them gripping the steering wheel like parrot talons.
I can see from all the way up here
That one of his fingers has a golden wedding ring,
And he just sits there in that Studebaker
Looking up at my apartment window,
Like I’m some freaking captive locked in a high tower,
And he’s my guard, my sentinel,
Making sure I do not escape.
“Hey you! Yeah you! I’m talking to you!
Oh? You have a problem with me seeing the blond bombshell?
The one with the face that launched a million ejaculations?
The face that burned the topless towers
Of a million American households?”
Now he has a cigarette going inside that sleek automobile.
It’s dangling from his lips
Like a big white toothpick from Scully’s.
The Los Angeles Mirror,
The front page,
Rests forlornly on the passenger seat.
I can even see the headlines from up here –
Something about an execution,
Julius and Ethel R.
Serenade me, Julius La Rosa!
Sing to me now! ‘Eh, Cumpari!’
It’s 1953 and all’s well in the world.
There shall be a tiki torch in every back yard!
“A cocktail? Here, have mine.
I’m well stocked here in my Kasbah.
Now, sweetheart, what were you going to say?”
“When I dance with you,
I feel like I’m in Paris by the Seine,
Dancing in technicolor with Gene Kelly.
You have wonderful moves and a very masculine touch,
And I can almost hear Gershwin music,
Way off in the distance.”
“By the way, my darling Norma Jeane, who taught you to dance?”
“To be honest, my mother.
It was an emergency situation, I had a hot date, so…”
And now we are sashaying on my torn and tattered carpet,
With Perry Como crooning ‘No Other Love’ on my Hi Fi,
Over there in the dark corner.
The lights of the Big Enchilada
Glisten outside my lone window
Like a million incandescent candles
That burn with lust for us.
“Hold me closer.
I need to feel your warm blood.
I need to breathe in your luscious sweet cologne.
Mmmmmm. Kiss me.”
“I will kiss you.
I will kiss you long and I will kiss you very hard.
But first, my darling, why not some Rachmaninoff,
The second piano concerto,
Instead of Perry Como?”
“No Piggy.
Locked in your arms I’ll stay.
Waiting for you to say,
No other love have I.”
Imagine life in black and white
The whitest day
The blackest night…
I sit upon my balcony
with colour all around me
scarlet red geraniums
hydrangeas pink and blue
golden yellow roses
their fragrance wafts upon the breeze
grateful that my eyes can see
Mother nature’s tapestry
The sky her hue an azure blue
melts into the sea
where silvery diamonds shine and glisten
her ebb and flow meet on the sand
I close my eyes ~ lie back and listen
as two young lovers stroll hand in hand
On this dazzling fragrant Summers day
I pray ~ don’t take the colours away
Imagine life in black and white
The whitest day
The blackest night…
