I gaze out of my window,
at the clouds up in the sky.
There’s snow, high on the mountain tops.
I have to wonder why?
Spring, officially began,
eight weeks, or so, ago.
But, it’s still cold and windy here.
Seems, Winter doesn’t really, want to go!
It isn’t, bitter cold, right now,
but, it just seems, to me,
it’s much colder, at this point, in time,
than it should ever be!
Well, I better mind my P’s and Q’s,
‘cause there ain’t nothing I can say,
that’s gonna change the way things are,
“Mother Nature”, hasta, have her way!
Summer is due in five more weeks.
Then Springtime will be gone!
Consequently, we’ll go right from warm to hot.
Which, in a sense, I feel, is wrong!
Spring is such a lovely season.
One of show and tell.
“Mother Nature” exhibits her magnificence,
and shows that all is well!
Trees and grass both turning green.
Songbirds sing their song.
Flowers show their many colors.
Streams and rivers move along!
Each season has its good points.
That, I must admit!
But, Spring is something special,
that’s why, I kinda, favor it!
I get a feeling, quite unique!
But only, in the Spring!
The other seasons just don’t give,
it’s a special, Springtime thing!
I really can’t explain it,
despite how hard I try!
I just feel, so relaxed, at this time of year!
Spring, must be the reason why!
Yes, Spring will get here, when it gets here.
That’s the way it has to be!
Maybe it can steal some time from Summer,
I’ll just have to wait and see!
A storm is brewing...
If you listen closely
Hold your breath
Close your eyes
Cock your head
And…really listen,
You’ll hear it –
You’ll hear
the deafening sound of silence!
There’s a reign of hush
all over the landscape
engulfed in deep shadows,
And your heart starts pounding
You get a feeling of foreboding,
There is no wind
No rustling of the leaves,
You look up
The sky hanging heavy and laden,
Thick rolling clouds
gray and pregnant with moisture
Bursting at the seams—
There’s this state of brooding disquietude.
Then you hear a slight rustle,
Suddenly you look up in time
to see a leaf quiver,
But again, a breath-taking silence…
And then, in the gathering gloom,
A blinding lightning,
Like someone just flashed
a giant camera in your face!
For a split second you see
all the trees standing dark
and hunched over like chained slaves,
Standing in a row
tired, beat and hopeless
of what’s to come next.
The earth beneath your feet
tremble under an ear-splitting,
earth-shattering clap of thunder
rumbling like a distant cannon fire.
And then like a thousand Niagaras
The rain starts bearing down
with jihadi fervor
water-logging the earth,
Like the heavens bursting into tears,
Like the ocean caught up in a spasm;
Then you understand, you feel,
In every pore of your skin,
The awesome fury of Nature.

Well I wouldn't have thought in the year twenty nineteen
When we'd start dropping like flies to something unseen
Will we ever know honestly where Corona started from
Sadly it's not like we can send it back to where it belongs
As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months
China, South Korea release figures, so many lives lost
News from around the world filters, Corona now shows
You start to get a feeling that this virus will never exhaust
It was just a matter of time that this Corona appeared here
Passed by our relaxed borders it was just a matter of time
On this world where we stay this easy to traverse sphere
Viewing the media daily, sadly we see deaths figure climb
We enter into a lock-down as this Corona Chaos grows
Epidemic now Pandemic as economies begin to slow
Sadly, panic buying excels, seeing greed angrily sought
Allowing selfishness to breed, it's not what we were taught
I'm thankful my family and I have so far escaped Corona
Guidelines we've followed closely allowing us to breathe
Reading how it affects leaves a shiver down ones spine
Not to be a statistic for our families and friends to grieve
To look at what's happened as we look to our tomorrows
Is to see people reacting differently, no more pitiful greed
In the hoping Governments unite for the sake of us all
To rid us of Corona Chaos so it can no longer feed.

If I had a chance to be
Any book celebrity
It would be easy to choose
There is no way I could lose
Twilight would have to be the one
I would have a lot of fun
Being a big and sweet "puppy"
Would make me feel so lucky
Just don't mess with those I love
Or I will be very tough
Turning into a wolf form
Fluffy and so cozy warm
A girl Jacob I'd become
With a love so purely wholesome
Protecting friends and family
From any harm that might be
Heading right into their path
I'll get there lightening fast
My loved ones wont be in danger
Being a watchful wolf ranger
That turns from a normal person
Into a creature who'll be watchin'
Everyone and everything
When I get a feeling
Somethings wrong I will be bound
Turn it completely around
Keeping harmony and peace
If not my temp will soon increase
Sharp teeth, claws, and big bad paws
Will appear and I will start
To tear this danger apart
Not allowing any kind
Of pain or torture to find
It's way into where I live
My life I would gladly give
As a friend or even wolf
I'll be sure nothing engulfs
Or invades my happy home
Cause my mouth will start to foam
From the anger deep inside
That this wolf can never hide
When I'm calm and so carefree
You'll see a happy side of me
My craziness will not stop
Silly and over the top
Like a newborn pup would feel
I am now going to heel
And end this tale of who
I would be and what I'd do

I watch you across the room and I get a feeling inside
It is a feeling of being a part of a most wonderful ride
As we ride down a snowy lane in a one horse driven sleigh
You snuggle close to me and bells ring out as if to say
It's going to be a wonderful Christmas
Everybody seems to be in great Spirit this year
Its going to be a very merry Christmas
A Christmas when couples fall in love
And I know how they feel down inside
Like stealing a kiss on a snowy sleigh ride
I take the reins while you snuggle close to me
While we watch the snow falling all around us
And I lean your way to steal a quick kiss
You do not for one moment, resist

While the children throw snow balls our way

but sometimes it still hurts
to remember we don't talk.

but we lasted a year and a half.
I feel nothing.

I learnt to let go of needless hope.

Somedays it's still tough

Why did you think of only yourself? And leave us all behind?
To your children I have to tell, what made their daddy die.
Less than a year has passed and I still feel regret.
Regret for not knowing more and letting everything set.
Fifty weeks later our sister does the same.
Is it doctors? Or your usage that is to blame?
Why did you have to take those pills? Why did you have to die?

Why did you think of only yourself? And leave us all behind?
To your children I have to tell, what made their mommy die.
Why did you leave us this way? Was it worth the ultimate cost?
Watching as your children play and I think that all is not lost.
At least you left pieces of you here, at least they can still grin.
I miss you both and I shed my tear, knowing that the drugs win.
