Pretending All the While I Dont Have An Other Mother

you never told my other mother anything
id be looking
for the real thing
you never told my other brother
we would be confused by reality
and the fairytailes
would lead us
to a destiny
unwinding the hands of tick tick ticking hands
hello time bomb
whats happening
did they notice the words i never held in my head
the sorry of the cold heart
you blew away
no substitute
for the gold
in the afterlife
you keep hunting after
substutute for the immortality
sickness of immotality
humbled pie actually
mutually gratified
and i thought
i thought
thought we were in love
thought we were in love
thought we were in love

everything you said
was nothing to the darkness insidfe the light
i held to the hollow
the hollow pitying myself
consequnce of the substitute
for the pleasure you recieved
see subsection fourteen
paragraph four
nevermind what it was you saw in the movies
that was a master of illusions
there will be more left for you
stand behind me satan
theres a real disaster
coming for me
real propoganda
real destitute
endless tears
endless prayers
no fears of their bottomless

you never told my other father id ever catch on
to the drama
of what he was
the charde of all that stuff
the solitude of never enough
never thought id ever give up
but i did
i did
i sold myself out
cashed in
bought myself a wild card
to hide from you
a starshine
a patronising shiner
something to fall into
but you wouldnt ever stop
begging your neighbor
i wanted it for me
you should be happy
its your sow
all yours
the greed of what i would have kept for myself
you have for you
the nothing it is
the worthlessnes
of pointlesness
i couldnt sell it
and now neither can you
waste your time too
wwaste your time too
string you along to come unglued
fool by fool
never twice shy
just once to be true

you never told me
the cops were never going to be on the look out for
the missing children
when they grew up
and went looking for their resal parents
even if they had memories of their other mother
their other father
couldnt get away
couldnt get away
locked in my room all day
\soory for the dirty laundry mom and dad
scream and cry all day
the police just told me no one would be looking for me
you got away with it
the perfect crime
no ones looking for me
im a lost boy

Cheers Grandpa Thoughts of Wisdom

Thoughts of wisdom.

Now grandpa was a guy
A man I held up high
Everything he told me
I knew it was no lie.

All those facts he told
While lying in his bed
Waiting for his God
To claim that he was dead.

I was twelve years old
As green as green can be
But Grandpa always said
That I could see and see.

The stories that he told,
His good one liners too
They opened up my mind
I knew that they were true.

Do you want to know
What he would converse?
Like that backward poet
He always writes inverse.

He would often say
“you are like me son,
Just like an acupuncture
A good jab well done!”

Did I know that camels
Could always find an oasis?
Like Bakers only trade a recipe
On a knead to know basis.

Sometimes you carry stress
Until you feel encumbered,
But just you watch this space
A calendars days are numbered.

There are those that seem quite lucky
But they bloody cheat.
Just you think of this
A boiled egg is hard to beat.

Never go for credit
No matter how well dressed,
For like the Exorcist
It will end up repossessed.

Why did the chicken cross the road?
It did cause a commotion,
The silly bird was oiled
A poultry in motion.

Oh, see at Xmas time
You think that time it pauses,
But watch those Santa’s helpers
There only subordinate little clauses.

As for shopping centres
I know that they do sprawl
But once you’ve seen a big one,
I think you have seen a Mall

Never be a thief
Or take a quick backhander
You’ll end up with twelve months
Just like a calendar.

Grandpa he liked baseball
And going to the gym
That baseballs getting bigger
Then the ball hit him!

When it comes to writing
Don’t get in a mess,
To write with broken pencil
It really is quite pointless.

His last conversation it really was profound
Before he climbed Gods steps,
He said “Son,
Go get my Gin and Schweppes,
Appreciate the time you have
It is only Manana,
For Time flies like an Arrow
But fruit flies like a Banana.

Cheers Grandpa.

Endless Miles and Passing Time

Thoughts of you are always on my mind. I keep them safe, in a place that only I can
find. I keep them along with the memories that we can never share, memories of
the times that neither of us were ever there. I keep them dusted and polished so
they will never lose their shine. I make sure they don’t become tarnished from the
endless miles and passing time.
I wish I could rewind the hands of time, even if we could have just one more day. I
would use it to tell you all the things that we never found the time to say. I wish I
could build a bridge that would gap the endless miles between us and we could
meet half way. I would tell you how much I have missed you and how sorry I am
that we let time pass by and we were never able to find our way.
I wish we could have a second chance to appreciate the gift of time. A second
chance to have the memories that we can cherish, to have the memories that we
have missed, and now can never find.
The endless miles between us never seem to lose their way, and the passing time
passing time seems to keep on passing us be, faithfully, each and every day.
So I will keep my thoughts of you forever on my mind. I’ll keep them safe in that
place that only I can find. I will keep them along with the memories that we never
found the time to share and I will always regret that neither us took the time to find
a way to be there.
I will continue to keep my thoughts and memories of you dusted and polished, so
they can always shine. I’ll continue to make sure they never tarnish from the
endless miles and the passing time.

A Return Home, Only Time Will Tell

Oh blessed hope !

Both hardly a believable dream,
Sweltering heat with bloodshed in the street...
Send the troops home !
There is no clear reason for them to roam..,

These are desolate times !
For we have chosen ill faded rhymes..,
The casualties are enormous ?
For a stated cause that clearly atrocious..,

A mother's cry as the door chime rings,
A vanishing salute to freedom as the church choir sings !
Let us look above to all the heavenly love..,
Merciful one, take this chip off my shoulder..,

Stop the senseless fighting before our dear nation grows a bit colder,
Suddenly, seeds were dropped out of a farmers bag,
In time roots spring up fresh out of the fertile soil...
As the sun heats up,

Time will tell when this harvest will soon boil...
In the vast game of life,
One's time is so very brief !
The soul yearns for its' heavenly relief..,

Share with others who may want to turn over a brand new leaf..,

Time will tell of the true importance of helping one another,
To never give into the finish line..,
Nor harsh criticism that our society puts out !
Like a famous fighter in his final bout !

Time will tell of the return home,
To the open arms of a loved one !

My Grandmother

Far away when the sun goes down
The evening steals in quietly
Settles down waiting for the night
The birds fly to their nests
The animals seek shelter
Owls and bats come out for food
The cricket starts calling
The lamps is lit in all the homes
And seated in one of the old armchairs
Is my grandmother
Keeping her feet on the cushions below
After a long hard day
Settling in with the evening
Needlework in hand
She frowns a bit then smiles again
Thinking of the time gone by
Happy memories come flooding in
Of her youth and motherhood
Suddenly comes the much awaited
Sound of the car
Announcing the arrival of her grandchildren
They all come rushing in
Hugging her one by one
They sit around the armchair
Keeping their heads on her lap
Quietly listening to her soothing voice
Telling the stories of the time long gone
The evening goes out
And in comes the night
Time for them to go
She stands up leaning on a stick
And waves to them from the door
The night is quiet and dark
She comes in again and settles down
Happy and satisfied
To wait for the evening
To pass by her cottage again.

Ode To My Father

Your a angry young man said a father to son
Came out from his lips
As he was forever giving tips
Still these words are what I remember about that frozen December
The wind was so bitter it cut me in half
But not half as much as my Father's remark
With Christmas upon us the season for giving
I sat in that cold and wondered why i was living
Why get out of bed , Why open my front door
If all i was living for was to settle a score
Valley's of excuses are an affront to the World
When your wrapped up so tightly in your own selfish World
I took you for granted like the sun in the sky
I always expected that glint in your eye
Now time has deceived us , Youv'e since been moved on
and all i can think of is our time and this place
But I promise you this ,
Ill show you a face that will light up all Space
When i next see your face
Like a juicy raw onion on an old chopping plate
I didn't take the time to appreciate
That man so great
Thinking of you bring's a tear to my eye
Why "O" Why did you have to Die !

I'M Busy

I’m Busy

By Elton Camp

“I am busy and have no time for you.”
The real meaning do not misconstrue.
Everyone has the same amount of time
Whether the President or a ball of slime.

What you want is not important to me
So please go away and just let me be.
I want to use my time to take a look
For my pals to chat with on Facebook.

It’s just too bad if that makes you sad
It doesn’t matter that you are my dad.
Any concern for you has grown cold
Now that you are ugly, useless and old

Although you had time for me as a child
Now all you can expect is to be reviled.
Why keep it up? I will rebuff all your tries
In response will frown and roll my eyes.

I can’t expect such as you to understand
You’re nothing but an annoying old man.
When will you ever come to comprehend
That much time with you I won’t spend

Let Go

Finally time to let go.
Let the curtain fall,
I will be the next one you call.

I am no stand up comedian,
I can hardly sing at all.
But guaranteed I will be at the casting call.

Strive to be the best I can,
push myself as far as I can go.
But now, it is the time to let go.

I have never been an angry person.
I have never been so stressed.
But it is time to let go, now.
It is time to clear my head.

I have dragged myself this far,
Now I must pick up the pieces.
Pick up the pieces and move on.

No longer can I dwell on the things I can never change.
It is time to move on,
I have been dragging this out for far too long.

But no more will I shed a tear for you,
My life is too full to let you pull me under.
I consider myself to be moved on.
I have let go.

In the Eyes of My Grandchildren

No music nor color nor loveliness of earth tones
grips my heart - like the eyes of my grandchildren
no emotional emination - thrills me
like the motion in their step

I am elevated in their presence
taking flight from their energy
knowing all is theirs - because they believe it
upon their leaving - I must ponder

How to gather such wonder - as they are
did I ever possess the power that radiates
like the fire of certainty
that all is only now

That yesterday is past - tomorrow will wait
to devour today with laughter and love
Ahh - one time I did - I remember - I go there again
every time I see - the eyes of my grandchildren
