I'M Busy

I’m Busy

By Elton Camp

“I am busy and have no time for you.”
The real meaning do not misconstrue.
Everyone has the same amount of time
Whether the President or a ball of slime.

What you want is not important to me
So please go away and just let me be.
I want to use my time to take a look
For my pals to chat with on Facebook.

It’s just too bad if that makes you sad
It doesn’t matter that you are my dad.
Any concern for you has grown cold
Now that you are ugly, useless and old

Although you had time for me as a child
Now all you can expect is to be reviled.
Why keep it up? I will rebuff all your tries
In response will frown and roll my eyes.

I can’t expect such as you to understand
You’re nothing but an annoying old man.
When will you ever come to comprehend
That much time with you I won’t spend
