It glanced seductively at Louis with intricate petals and thorns from the roadside
A weedy hawker peddled the evergreen climber to make meagre ends meet
Measuring up philanthropy and potential for growth Louis dug down in his pockets
Found a new home for the tree as he sought wild abundance and passionate care
Knew nothing about inflorescence and internodes but was enchanted by beauty
Antoinette his young lover and soulmate encouraged the deal knew about botany
While he marvelled at her gait and anatomy long enough to notice the seeds
Visions of swell budding nature embraced and caressed copious plenteous bounty
Lush pink flowers like the innocent blush on faces after commensurate move sent
Delightful shivers down his loins as he smelt musk though the plant has no scent
A love affair uncontrollable emotions gentle pricks of the thorn and delight
Five sepals and they named them faith kindness compassion exultation and hope
Like the name giving explorer Louis circumnavigated earth moon and sunshine
Kept the most wonderful travels from her navel to wild luscious heavenly harbour
Flowerets of communion branches of intricate journeys and spread of infinite joy
They sailed the oceans together with no compass no chart only light from inside
Discovered all glorious reds orange chakras purple indigo and innocent white
Made love in radiant glows of their garden in vibrant evocative synesthetic flow
The Universe applauded chanted approval as they danced naked under awesome
Canopies dawning awnings and became the hippies they had always wanted to be

SHARING WHAT’S BEEN SHARED
In these warring times,
We can’t be indifferent;
God’s waiting on us:-
Let’s become empathetic:
Seeking guidance from our God:-
Blessed with God’s wisdom,
Courage and serenity,
Let us get to work:-
In labors of love, it’s time
For sowing and reaping peace:-
Let’s no longer be afraid;
Bombing wars can’t match God’s love.
Remember, practicing love is one thing;
But living love becomes another thing.
Practicing war must be brought to an end;
Living in love’s peace must become eternal:-
Remember and be encouraged by the blessed scriptures:
“And let the peace that comes from Christ rule…your hearts.
For as members of one body you are called to live in peace…”
Likewise, in thanksgiving prayer, also be forever inspired
In knowing “God blesses those who…[labor]...for peace,
For they will be called the…[blessed]...children of God.”
He was the weird one, the odd one, the one the family laughed about.
He heard them laughing, and it hurt when he was a boy.
By the time he was a teenager, it hurt less, but it still hurt.
He moved away and developed a new family – a family of friends.
They encouraged him and uplifted him and inspired him.
He was popular with them because they liked him.
He fell in love and got married, and they raised three sons.
The sons were goofy and funny and hilarious like their dad.
They wanted to know his family, but he discouraged them.
His family had changed; they had gotten worldlier.
They wanted to know his sons too.
So, he finally took them there.
He thought his parents and siblings would make fun of him.
Instead they shared funny stories, and laughed with him, not at him.
He was astounded! They had liked him all along.
He was the one who misconstrued their affection as bullying.
He was no black sheep at all, he was a blue sheep.
Sad that he had let so much time expire before he came home.
She fell into the sea on a warm spring day where clouds were thick.
Her parents tried to rescue her but she disappeared good and quick.
Traveling down to the depths of the sea in a whale’s warm mouth.
The whale knew she was being abused at home by father, a louse.
So he rescued her like his own daughter, raised her up on the coral reef.
Took her to the surface often to breathe, living here was a huge relief.
She thrived in the sea which took away her pain and helped her to trust again.
The sea creatures became her family, confidants, neighbors and friends.
She was encouraged to reinvent herself, so she gave herself a new name.
For now that she was being loved and nurtured, she was forgetting her pain.
She was Aryanna, the maiden of the clear blue ocean and vast deep blue sea.
She was empathetic and as gentle to the turtles and fish as she could ever be.
She became happier and more trusting every day,
Decided to officially turn into a mermaid with fins, deciding to stay.
Sea was overjoyed had loved her since discovering her at the age of three.
She is waiting to help others, in the prettiest part of the deep blue sea.
On top of the mountain, the zenith of
My life, my moment, the
Time when I thrived, so full of love
I was gaga
At the zenith of my dreams, as I danced
Waltzing to the wonder,
Echoes, light, rousing – I chanced
In the thunder
The zenith, where time had reminded me
Believe the silent hope
The abiding peace, lovely glee
Stirred into trope
Zenith, who encouraged me to believe
Silencing all my doubts
Shadows fading, never to grieve
Past timeouts
Zenith, who colored me in beauty, truth
Burning away the past
Freeing me from my long gone youth
Darkness contrast
Zenith, where I know the meaning beneath
Prayers for tender grace
Like a beautiful, faded wreath
Quiet embrace
The zenith alive, whispering a smile
Reminding why I know
The meaning of love, all the while
Belief aglow
It is this stardust hope, the zenith light
Who seems to know the way
Breaking away the black of night
And, we will pray

One of these days I want to wake up, and there's no wars anywhere
People aren’t dying because they can’t get medical care
And Women are finally earning equal pay
Someday
It'd be great if everyone in love was allowed to just be free
And we don’t allow another species to go extinct
Politicians actually mean them things they say
Someday
I want schools to have all the books and teachers that they need
And noone goes hungry because they can’t afford to eat
Where religions focus on love and not hate
Someday
I want a world where we’re not judged by the color of our skin
Where our value is measured by our character within
And what you do matters more than what you say
Someday
I want to live where just one job provides for all you need
Communities aren’t destroyed just for corporate greed
And nobody criticizes how you pray
Someday
I want a world where our veterans aren’t living on the street
Where water is safe to drink and food is safe to eat
And Mother Earth doesn’t die a little bit each day
Someday
Someday can’t come soon enough- in fact it’s overdue
It won’t get better by itself, it’s up to me and you
I want dreams to be encouraged and not betrayed
I know that it can happen someday
Someday
Someday can’t come soon enough- in fact it’s overdue
It won’t get better by itself, it’s up to me and you
If we help the world to finally find its’ way
Someday could be today
Today
Baby steps, followed by
a child's stumbling,
teenage sprained ankles,
broken bones and
bodies covered with bruises,
adults take two steps forward
followed by one step back.
What of the person with no feet?
Hasn't he a reason to succeed.
His will shaped by submission
to a higher power than his own
encouraged by right mentors.
Elderly invalids often leap
into service through a
ministry from their couch.
Hard work, patience, determination,
and faith gets us to our goal
when misdirected love says,
“It’s okay to quit.”

Host: Silent One
I am a confident, content person
l know and like who l am
I know my strengths and weaknesses
Me …l understand
Though at times , l lack confidence in aspects of my academic ability
I have never really considered myself creative or smart
Recently my self doubt has been boosted
Creating a positive change of heart
The recent Alphabet poems l have written
Alphabet gossip being the subject
Have received unbelievable encouraging comments
Comments, l truly did not expect
Words like clever, imaginative ,creative
Words l can’t and won’t ignore
Have elevated my fluctuating confidence
Like never before
I want to sincerely thank those poets
Who voiced such kind, genuine positivity
The power of your thoughts and words
Have encouraged a more confident academic self belief in me
I’ve known him most of my life
Loved him through the best and worst of it
He’s given my heart a feeling of hope
He’s colored my thoughts in wonder, a song
Lyrics of kindness found with a soul
Who knows you like no one has known you before
And loves you despite all the darkness
With a love that seems like a light to you
He has been my friend, my inspiration, my dream
He’s encouraged my soul, my wishes, my fantasies
He’s made me feel more worthy than I could believe
He’s silenced my worries and helped me find peace
He’s my wildest passion, my desire, my feelings, deep
He has been my husband, my gift from God’s breath
The one who I will treasure – through this life,
And in heaven, when our time here is finished
… when our hearts know that our faith is complete!
For every moment that I spent without him,
There is a priceless image of sharing his company
Knowing the meaning, finally…
Of forever giving, living, loving
The one God gave you to cherish
Until the end of time!
With him, my smile is alive
With him, joy is stirred, inspired
By the music of a love that knows no uncertainty
But only the promise of good that is to come –
Because we’re centered in our love for Jesus, our Savior!

2nd Anniversary
July 23, 2022
My spiritual journey has been eventful,
Still uncompleted. It started at a very
Young age; my proper life very ordinary.
Raised simple old-fashioned; my soul very faithful.
Encouraged by spiritual closeness to God.
I loved my peaceable solitude when abled
To have it all to myself when I was troubled.
A footbridge where I wept, embraced God, and felt awed.
Marriage and my children changed my life forever.
Difficult challenges or uplifting good times
His amazing grace, always there cleansing my crimes.
Age still welcomes Wisdom; desire and endeavor.
I walk freely following His light, step-by-step.
Guides me through changing seasons to heaven's doorstep.
