Circumstancially Broken

You're a pain that hurts in the right places
You stabbed my heart and killed me right before the tongue hit the septum of my heart
Emotionally battered
I have been victimized by my circumstances

Tying my heart up in strings
Stealing my dignity and making me a prisoner
I long to be bound free
But constrained to this jail cell somewhat feels right

Had my father acted his part right
All this behind the scenes drama wouldn't be what the public sees
But here we are and all I wish is for this moment to seize

Enough of self pity
I am not the first person to be neglected by their father
I am not the first person longing for a father figures love
And that's where I have it all wrong

Healing doesn't come from whining and dining with pain
Reciting it day and night like it's a galaxy of change
I am the broken crayon with beautiful colors
And I won't colour the world without trying to do so amid my pain

Don't feel pity for me
I have my full limbs intact
Speech perfectly orated
What more can I ask for?
The heavens are besides me every single day of my way and so to be circumspectly broken is all I circumstancially want right now.

The Five Sensibilities

I wonder if the emotionally numb
Do see in black and white,
As artists’ primal visions come
and pass beyond their sight.

I wonder if the emotionally numb
Do taste an unwitting bland,
For flavored grains, inspiring crumb
Shall never envelop their hand.

I wonder if the emotionally numb
Do hear measures of silence,
Composer’s song, they must be dumb
To notes of exquisite violence.

I wonder if the emotionally numb
Do smell an even calm,
Air blankets wafting sweetened plum
Offer not a soothing balm.

I wonder if the emotionally numb
Do touch with deadened skin,
For palms entwined, fingers, thumb
Dare not let loving in.

I wonder if the emotionally numb
Can find their misplaced heart,
To Life’s beauty someday, they may succumb,
Of which we are all apart.

The Ghost

I'm gone just like that at the blink of an eye
and the critics don't know what side I'm on
because I reside wit them both them
niggas that blow hella weed smoke
and this lost generation thats beggin for hope
and they think it's a joke but me I just float
away like a boat on a cruise and life or death
curses and blessings which one do you choose
and whats rule 1, live everyday like it's ya last one
poetically sadistic strapped emotionally wit a
brick of C-4 and a revolver wit one in the chamber
and since I'm a ghost, like the Great White Shark
my name spells danger I'm far from bilingual
but spiritually I then spoke every language
and I'm gone like the spirit of the lost victims
like a well people keeping throwing coins in
and keep wishing like Christians who's
spiritually fishing... I'm A Ghost

My Jones For Leesah

Love has hit me so hard
Left me damn near crazy.
I met the perfect woman
Who never ceases to amaze me.
Who's beauty is flawless
She has grace & style
Her eyes captivate me
& so does her smile.
Her long beautiful hair
Gets curly & falls over her eyes.
All natural, Homegrown
No weave to my surprise.
I love her perfectly shaped legs
So firm, so thick.
Women envy her beauty
It just make them sick.
She has a spirit that draws you in
Just like a magnet.
The first time I saw her
I knew I just had to have it.
Her love for God
Is what I love most of all.
Even he's memorized by her
Because he answers, when she calls.
Her name is Leesah
She has stolen my heart.
She's become
My beginning, my end, my finish, my start.
That may not make sense to you
But that was only meant for her to understand.
I love when I'm with her
I become the envy of every man.
I love how she is
So spiritually tuned.
She's special, one of a kind
& it's my heart she's consumed.
Leesah is my drug
I need her daily, for my fix.
Leesah is a habit
That I would never dare kick.
She could go anywhere in the world
& my love will go find her.
My love will be in front of her
Never behind her.
She'll know that I Love Her
Because everyday I'll remind her.
I'll never mentally hold her down
Or emotionally bind her.
I want to give her the world
& everything in it.
I'm in it for the long haul
I'm in it to win it.
Leesah is so perfect
She leaves me in a daze.
If you knew her
You too would be amazed.
She's a Queen a Goddess
She's so real, so true.
Leesah too bad
I never said these things to you.
Now I am all alone
Just me, myself & I
No Leesah, just this Jones.

Recognize

I recognize your regal.

To acknowledge how beautiful you are.

I recognize this as you've given me something that shows
In every smile, every conversation. Every hug.
Through reciprocation we naturally strengthen our bond

through admiration of respect.
We've given the piece of each other we keep the closest to ourself.
The ability to light up at the thought of presence.
The act of sex that revolves inclusion,
While standing on the outside of sex itself.

The emotional tides of intimacy knowing that my soul reflects yours.
To arrive emotionally and be there when we have no clue what to do next

But be there for each other.

To provide an availability outside of the things we build toward in the material form.
We've long since steeped outside of that box.
To open up our dreams, our goals.

To work towards them together and build new ones.

I recognize that it's not something that happens every day.

I acknowledge the definition we've given to each other and expunged it
With a definition of our own.
That is why you are so beautiful

Bondage

Her sin was loving, all she ever did was love and now she doesn't believe in love.
All she did was give him her heart and now he is gone with it, leaving her with no love at all..
All she ever did was trust him and now all she is left with is the scars of trust
She loved with her soul and yet he only gave her his mind, all she needed was attention but all she got was emotional torture, to love and not be loved and not be loved in return

Leaving is hard because when the soul loves it bonds making it harder to leave.
She cries every night hoping for the strength to leave but all she gets is another false reason to stay.
This love is turning into bondage.
He comes at night with fulgurant rage emotionally scarring her.
The physical pain is better but emotional leaves deep scars.

All she wants is him, the old him, the guy who first swept her off her feet.
The guy who made her feel like a princess and that's the thought that keeps her going.
She couldn't accept that things change and people change, he had turned into a fiend.
What she didn't realize was what is love if it is not shared, what is love if it is not shown?
For love is worthless without action.
She just needs the strength to leave

Every Other Thing

It's odd to realize that ones life is best described experientially, as a series of discoveries in an irreducible phenomenon cast in viscus matrices.

"These Days": The superficial and arbitrary way with which we sever experience and consciousness, yet neither emotionally, nor intellectually, are we cognizant of the ephemeral boundaries.

Time, as a biological value, carries over into our social constructions, but there, its value ends. That it is "a-prior" is hard to argue with. That it does not extend into the intellectual realm is also too plain to deny. How odd, its ready departure in the face of intellectual or emotional pursuits.

"These Days"- fraught with time's non-contingencies; The seemingly unrelated images and concepts merging to suggest something more than their singular aspects would allow ~

a broken dream assuaged by the coffee machine's sharp scuttering; a waterless complaint, and her image; no longer the bright charged view, fading in forgetting's white-grace, but content to become instead, the liquid shadows of empty-spaces, where time floats down in dangerous obedience to an undiscoverable gravity, like the broken feathers of a silent, celestial war

No "FAKE" Fire Drill

Residents at high
     land manor apartments
     (aside from myself)
     got rudely awakened -
     by what sounded
     like a screaming,
     seething, and shrieking airplane
early morning hour

     'ere september eleventh
     two thousand eighteen
     with deafening decibel (at
     maximum threshold)
     ear piercing shrill alarm
     rousing atavistic primal
     Neanderthal tapping primal brain
if NOT a atheist secular humanist,

I would aver my linkedin match
     (com mon lee) attributed
     to Abel and/or Cain,
but whether broad
     minded or parochial,
     that deafening fire alarm
     this bloke doth disdain
but to ears of

     volunteer fire fighters,
     that unbearable audio
     warning tone beloved,
     aye need not explain
how appreciative, and
     reassure ring knowing
     rough and ready persons fain
to selflessly risk

     life and/or limb,
     when trucking
     extinguishing arsenal
     with genuine gratitude to gain
demonstrating without
     pomp and circumstance
     the art of being humane
automatic reflexive

     instincts second nature
     where breathe, eat,
     and live for others
     a credo, dictum,
     ethos deep ingrain
within every cell
     of their sturdy bodies,
     sans indefatigable as

     Tarzan and Jane
on par with prestidigitation skill
visa vis tricks of the trade
     discovered via legerdemain,
yet aside from
     power house strength,
     another salient trait
     needed asper physically,

     emotionally, and spiritually exhausting,
     grueling, and taxing job,
     would necessitate one to maintain
composure in the
     midst of pandemonium
     gamely, gingerly, and

     gloriously fighting infernos
(WITHOUT any mon
     key business)
     while training, learning,
     and exacting diligence
     non harried styled
     tailored swiftness!

Sun Shade

(The title means there is still hope beyond the hardship or light at the end of the tunnel. *Note from J W Earnings*)

No one has a right to call me horrid things
I wish you feel my pain and its insane stings
Hello to goodbye, I simply, heavily sigh
Sometimes, I feel like crying and dying no lie

Kill the sorrow
There’s tomorrow
Life’s a sparrow
Without wings to borrow

Forgiveness will give you satisfaction
This emerald compass will give you direction
You found me in an awful mess today…of dismay
You made it up to me tonight; alright…on the freeway

I am acting like the victim
I’m being selfish emotionally
No need to be like them
I’m my own person actually

You called me foul names
Forced to take the blames
You touched me all the way
On the edge…falling, I pray

You save me from my suicide
You save me from my bipolar ride
Save it for another tomorrow
Leave it to yesterday below

You played me like a video game
All I feel is this anguish and shame
Get it over with and shut it please
Music is blasting and I’m the tease

Fought the battle of baffling lonesome
I never knew people thought I was handsome
They saw through the phases of my shady past
Or so I assumed...this joy somewhat doesn’t last

Shattered like nothing matters
Fire and snow, you know, nurtures
You flatter me with your childish antics
This heart needs more than a simple fix

Still in distress…it’s hard to move on
Axed down like a tree times a ton
Release the anxiety I have been lost in
Saturated in the sweat of my…my sin…

Forgiveness is forgetting genuinely
The password to my trust is too complicated apparently
You lied, I lied…let’s leave that in the dust-clustered past
I want this blissful lifetime to last, not this ache so vast

Enliven my empathetic nature
Tomorrow is a million miles away, but that won’t stop me, no way
Good-bye to hello that’s for sure
Catch me in the web of wishes come true and, yes, come what may

No one needs to point out my wrongs
God is the only Judge and you aren’t, my strange dear
Wrapped up in woe and write it in songs
Most of all, have no sign of fear and be of good cheer

Daisies of delight grow
I want to live and glow
Shade of abyss will not show
So, yeah, you better know,
A lowly Death – big N.O.!

Premium Member Xanthophobia

Zanthoxylum shrubs with clustered yellow flowers,
Yolks of eggs and yellow jackets make her want to scream.
Xanthophobia ensnares her. It is sickening
Wakening to an aureate dawn’s bright rays.
Vehemently she shakes!
Ubiquitous are sunny days; she much prefers the clouds.
They keep her safe from light and her anxiety at bay.
Secluded in her rose pink room, she stays inside,
Rarely venturing outside except at eventide.
Quick is she to greet fast-falling snow.
Pedestrians abandon streets. Then she likes to go
Out to see the colored world buried in tranquility,

Nauseated she becomes just seeing people eat
Macaroni’s yellowish cheese, all things buttery,
Lemon cakes, bananas, mustard. It is a feat
Keeping herself calm. Sometimes she panics.
Jaundiced skin can do her in.
In many cases, she turns to Xanex.
Hideous to her is this disease,
Growing, never slowing. Even therapy
Fails to help. Whatever can she do?
Emotionally frazzled, living with unease when
Dandelions, daisies or ducks come into view.
Corn, baby chicks, and girls that she has seen
Bleached a brilliant bombshell blonde so bold!
All of it - florescent dreams - are nightmares laced in gold.
