Premium Member An Existential Curiosity

This cosmos, indisputably is a sheer wonder
We cannot but bow before its grandeur
To what strange terrains it does open its doors
And what secrets are hidden beneath the stars

Man has ever been impelled by an existential curiosity
To probe into its mysteries, struck by its grandiosity
Many theories have evolved about its nature and birth
Scientific truths and assumptions are never in dearth

Some assume that from the merciless emptiness sans light,
From the deep silence of the horrendous night,
Universe emerged with the bang of hammers
On the anvils of eons thundering like firecrackers

There arose abruptly a gas cloud burst of inexorable force
And life emerged from stardust, our energy source.
While this is what the exponents of Big Bang assert,
Life, from a cosmic egg was hatched, some others purport

No doubt, this universe is an infinite stretch of lattice
Woven in the loom through billions of years by gratis
As the wheels turned and as the fires burned
Through cosmic vapor the first atom was churned

Thus, over the eons, life here has flourished
And with man’s wisdom and efforts it got nourished!
Galaxies are scattered in infinite space
And our planet Earth is well balanced in place

After the day’s vigil, when the mighty sun sets
The moon and the stars take over on their night shifts
Multitudinous stars glitter and twinkle, a wondrous sight
As branching chandeliers shedding luminous light

Sure, some extra-terrestrial hand has set the Earth in tune
And everything needed to hold life is benevolently strewn
Just as this universe was born, it would one day die
With all the planets, stars, and starlets of the sky

Who can predict how it is going to end
With a bang or whimper, or is the end impend?
Man’s existential curiosity continues to make him ponder
And he stands totally aghast in endless wonder!

Premium Member If the Spirit Moves

If the spirit moves me;
Then I'll be moved;
If the spirit moves me;
Then I'll dance;
If I praise Him loud, with my voice;
And the crowd, disperse;
I know that I have done just my little;
Cause my little means a lot;

If I have just faith as a grain of;
Faith as small as a grain of a mustard seed;
Then I am entitle to praise and worship the King;
For I've been forgiven and there's no more fault in me;
I am free, free, for if the spirit moves in me; (In me)
If the spirit moves in me
Then I'll dance, I will praise Him loud with my voice;
For this is my choice;

I understand in this modern times;
I won't be living on, living on a mountain;
No one to feed me and I won't be eating lamb; (I understand)
I'm gonna dance, and I am going to speak to my mountain;
I understand and it will be moved for the Lord God commanded;
Don't need rhythm for the groove, I will just dance;
So I hold my head up, and I just witness
to the world I'm safe and secured in Jesus;

Premium Member Guess I'M Not a Man This Is Why I Cried Today

I am not afraid to say
I'm a man and I cried today
I am almost, wait I am ashamed of a lot of men today
The way sin nature and choice
The negative display they choose
If being a man is to fornicate
Have intercourse being unmarried with any woman they can
Then I am not a man
And I cry today
If being a man is to sexually abuse a child
Then I am not a man today
 I am not afraid to say
I'm a man and I cried today
I am almost, wait I am ashamed of a lot of men today
Instead of working a job
I stay in a house or apartment living off of woman, This ain't love
This ain't right
If I have to beat, slam, throw the woman around
This ain't love
But yet a lot of women say it's right
The negative display they choose
If being a man is to fornicate
Have intercourse being unmarried with any woman they can
Then I am not a man
And I cry today
Fathering children all over town
Most men this is how they git down
Will I'm here to say, The Lord will have His way
So many men in the prisons
So many children without their fathers at home
While they too are on the rome
If being a man are these characteristics
Then I guess I'll never be a man
This is why I cried today
Don't git me wrong I'm not perfect
I'm not perfect but I write this verse to say
Some of us men gonna have to pay
You can't keep doing God's daughters any old kind of way
So if beating women is your pleasure
Abusing children gives you power
Hold on don't forget every man, woman, and boy girl must repent;
And for heavens sake it's hard to forgive let alone forget
But if we want to make to glory we must forgive always
I am not afraid to say
I'm a man and I cried today
I am almost, wait I am ashamed of a lot of men today
The way sin nature and choice
The negative display they choose
I'm ashamed to be a man today
So I pray first for me
Then I pray for the brethren
And I stay, I stay up before them
Then I guess I'll never be a man
Pray for us the men of the world
That most if not all stop, turn around and serve the Lord
This is why I cried today
AMEN

Premium Member Today's Tomorrow Again

Today is tomorrow again
Again tomorrow is today
Make it go away,
Lord please comes here, today
Have your way

Sunday, morning
And I still need someone to show me the way;
Because the girl I loved has gone away;
She’s gone
I’m alone
She’s gone
Help me God
Today is tomorrow again;

And I really loved her;
And I really love, love, loved her;
But when I needed her she packed her clothes and gone, gone away

Today is tomorrow again
Again tomorrow is today
Make it go away,
Lord please comes here, today
Have your way

Monday evening
IT’s a new week and, I haven’t found her yet;
And I believe that she has gone out and met;
Another love
Someone else to love
Some other black brother
Done went out and copped herself another boy friend
OH, I sit down and cry;
Yes, asking myself why oh why;
I’m wondering
Why she went, why she’d go
I go outside in the rain
Running up and down the street feeling so ashamed
That every new girl I meet is wearing the same;
Perfume that I gave the one that ran away, singing in the rain;
I fancy this little children playing in the streets;
While in the trees robins and sparrows sing tweet-tweet;
I’m just playing in the rain;
Engaged in some sort of wonderful silly game
I keep saying to myself when I needed a love , a friend oh, when I really needed a friend—

Today tomorrow again;

Premium Member Vase Full of Flowers-

There's a vase full of flowers
By the window
There's a bowl full of golden fish
On the table
~
Oh and my man has left me
My man left me goodbye
 oh I wish that I was a baby
So that I would cry
~
There is love across the corner
And around the street
That is where he went, my man went over
To the house where he did seek

A lovely Maiden a beautiful woman my my my
He lifted up with praises toward the skies
~
There's a vase full of flowers
By the window
There's a bowl full of golden fish
On the table
~
And in the morning this young girl cries
Cuz her man has left her here to die
Brokenhearted he has forsaken her this love less woman left her why why why
~
Each day one of the flowers in the vase just wilts away
Each moment leaving me with nothing but ashes
And tomorrow I know there's going to be a better day
Cuz the golden fish in my fish bowl on the table begins to sway
Tears in the water for my gold fish cry
Fairs in my heart and stomach my breathing's nigh
~
There's a vase full of flowers
By the window sill
There's a bowl full of dead golden fish still

My tears are in the water
My breath has left the flowers
He told me he was leaving
And that he would not come back
I found myself grieving
He broke my heart now I don't want him back

(a womans brokenhearted verse, love loss sigh)

Premium Member Life In The Midst of Wetness

There feeling wet and gloomy
sitting on the bench feels wet
why does rain do this to us?
love to be dry, but wet is all I get

Across the road sits that bus
folks sit inside there happy and glad
they sit there dry and protected
not going my way, that makes me sad

The water glazes across the road
it can be slippery, so watch your feet
a fall now would make me worse
even more so than this wet seat

Maybe I should just walk home
an hour or so would get me there
but the prospect of an empty house
leaves me to utter a prayer

God, please look down on me
what should I do at this time?
send me someone along my way
to lift me up with a rhyme

Look back at the street light
there it shines for all to see
I had forgotten it was there
just as God provided Calvary's tree

He reminds me of His love
where His son did die for me
so one day will take me home
to abide with Him, I will see!

Nap Time

In the astral world of utterance, one overhears the whispering of sweet nothings, breathlessly whisking up a spell of portioned scents that nay, nearly spilt the teacups swirled cremes delights and demitasse gooey treats,

Behold the phoenix rise to full measure under a lunar ecliptic mystic mesmerizing trance, upon a peacocks crown, whose stretched out azure-chartreuse wings, becomes enmeshed betwixt the manes of an unbridled passionate gallop,

For it leaped towards a skipping array of a colorful rainbow's path, that was freely dancing throughout its phases within the warmth air of a frozen sky,

As it spread o'er a vast terrain of mounds and vales of gathered greens tethered to tawny treasures teeming of life with no end at joyful pleasures,

Thus at the behest of Cherubs during the advent of endless stars whose dreamy light twinkles instructions that seduces a flock of whimpering lambs a free ride on their woolly souls,

Fostering meek minions to flow in the channels of a righteous domain free of a distant storm pushed by the lashes of sunbeams tickled whips temperate to your hearts enchanted beats that steadies the gauges of innocence,

And as a cluster of mirrors enlightened volumes of your sojourned quest of luminous unconscious prominence in a period of this, your inner realm expanse, collectively storing away as romantic muses within the anthology of your memory as its key

All delicately locked by the fortuitous magnitude of your eyelids.

Premium Member Touch and Go

There are pets and then there are people in fur coats. My Angel Face was a people in a fur coat. She loved to go riding in the car. She would put on her seat belt and mommy would be put on hers. Then it was off to hit the road to see what we could see. With delight to the bank for a cookie. Angel Face seemed to know when there were no cars-no red lights in front of us. She would take her left paw/leg and press down on my right thigh. She would press down until I would go. She would do her touch and we would go faster. Touch my leg again and we would go even faster. We never figured out how Angel Face knew my leg worked the car. She wanted speed and she got it. My Angel Face was a people in a fur coat.
