MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR REPROVING ME
Thank You for reproving me of my bad motives
As well as my doubtfulness due to humanistic perspectives---
You discipline me from craving for worldly incentives
By Your principles’ directives.
Thank You for reproving me of my hypocritical secrecy
As well as my discontentment when I feel insufficiency---
You straighten me up for my prayer-fervency
By Your mercy’s persistency.
Thank You for reproving me of my earthly desires
As well as my carnal yearning for temporal wealth that soon expires---
You restrain me so as not to plunge into lustfulness’ mires
By Your revival fires.
Thank You for reproving me of my offensive indolence
As well as my disobedient silence---
You awaken me from fruitlessness’ opulence
By Your working’s prevalence.
Thank You for reproving me of my opposing disposition
As well as my wrong direction---
You lead me toward biblical action
By Your sanctification’s transformation.
Thank You for reproving me of my shameful haughtiness

You build me up for faith-strengthened service-effectiveness
By Your perfection’s holiness.
In this passage of holy scripture
we see God pouring out His wrath
on those disobedient to His will
refusing to walk in His path
Lot's wife was one who did this
told by angels as part of family of Lot
she knew as much as the rest
but as she lingered back she was caught
In a moment judgement was cast
that human frame became as salt
standing like a pillar so straight
this was her own silly fault
She wanted the world and its desires
instead of being enclosed in God's safe hold
such is the folly of ungodly thinking
as sin enters in keeping you out cold
So remember Lot's wife turned to salt
for holding on to this world's value
which will not survive at the end
only trust in Christ will eternally do
('But Lot's wife, behind him, looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.' Genesis 19 v. 26 )(ESV)
Since it’s such a nice and beautiful day
why not become a piece of cloud myself
or a stream of water, and go.
If it happens to be a cloud,
looking down a side of a mountain floating in the middle of the air;
or if it happens to be water,
bathing in the basin under the shade on a foot of mountain at times
and merge in the plain drifting through the valleys.
How do I do manage today? Because it is raining all day.
Should I visit a tavern and have a drink to get mellow?
Or become a tree frog(1) and cry my eyes out?
If neither of them are feasible,
walk in the rain to find my place to stay and when my feet are mired,
just stand there to become a totem pole and chitchat with the rain
by a roadside stream.
Why the wind howls today?
Is it because Jonah incurred God’s anger?
Or because Shimchung(2) has to throw herself in the raging water?
Oh well, since no one knows where the wind comes from,
why not blown myself in the wind become a Manjang(3) and
visit the netherworld where Hades reigns.

Today, we are living in a world of chaos,
where many are engrossed in driving wedges.
Anyone who is different is fair game and racist.
Social justice, woke, and Cancel Culture is the narrative.
It’s like living in an old class B western movie.
Gun sales are skyrocketing, and many conceal carry.
We destroy past things and modify what we teach,
in an attempt to change History by polluting young minds.
Too many have the victim mentality seeking something free,
and demand compensation for wrongs that happened years ago.
Count your blessings and pray for our elected leaders
for truly we may be living in the last days.

I shared an apple with a friend
I didn't know we were sinners, and
God's calling He said no don't eat of the apple
Too ashamed we had our faces
And then we ran we were disgraces
I was disobedient did not obey so I ran
I held a door open for a woman
Just trying to be a gentleman
She was offended cussed me out
So I turned my head and ran south
I shared my pains with my family

be not a receptacle to that spirit of sin
live by the word of God and be open to Him
in this day where the lines of morality have become blurred
where people believe and do all and anything that's absurd
caught up in the grasp of drugs and chemical dependency
caught up in the muck and mire of sexual immorality
yet society tries to explain away any and all aberrant behavior
and a psychiatric evaluation has become acceptable and favored
we're now subjected to the blame of others and their bad actions
subjected to the world's desensitized and apathetic reaction
overcoming the temptation to commit sin
to yield not to that demonic presence again and again
if you don't understand and comprehend the word of God
how do you know if you have any sin in your heart?
you need to read the word of God and follow His commands
the instructions on how to live sinless, God's master plans
to wrestle with the evil that may at times reside within
to overcome that sensation to go out and commit sin
you need to be exposed to God's laws and learn right from wrong
you need to do a self reflection and then come away strong
for it's one thing to do what is sinful if you don't have a clue
but it's a different story when you knowingly sin for the blame is now on you
to be disobedient and stray from God's life living instructions
will lead you down that crooked path of spiritual destruction
so think before you act and then lay it before God
pray on that temptation to sin and possess a contrite heart
to challenge that temptation to commit sin
just dwell on the word of God and not the unholiness of men
yet we continue to try and justify some of the things we do and say
we need to be truthful in our hearts and willing to change our ways
no longer to be arrogant and sanctimonious in this life
to be more humble and repentant as a child of the Lord Christ
we pretend to act like it's not us but everyone else
we need to take a hard look in the mirrors at ourselves first
to come to understand that this battle is not ours alone
to realize we need the strength and the power of the heavenly throne
to be rescued from that temptation of sin that's always hanging around
to be lifted up by the word of God and placed on higher ground
to turn to our savior, the Lord Jesus the Christ
to thank Him and praise Him for the gift of eternal life
