Premium Member My God, Thank You For Considering Me

April 30 Scripture Meditations Based on Psalms 13-16

Key Verse – Psalm 13:3 Consider and hear me, O LORD my God…

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ME

Thank You for considering me midst my sorrow
Never forgetting my commitment for tomorrow
Always counselling me to overcome temptation’s arrow
For me to prevail against despair-harrow.

Thank You for considering me midst my enemy
Never leaving my soul during challenges that are stormy
Always defending me with Your holiness’ army
For me to trust You despite situation that’s gloomy.

Thank You for considering me midst my troubles
Never hurting my heart, but smiting my anxiety-mumbles
Always cheering me whenever my world crumbles
For me to abide in your will devoid of falsities and fables.

Thank You for considering me midst my shamefulness
Never insulting my well-being, fashioning it toward Your holiness
Always healing me from sin-illness
For me to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness.

Thank You for considering me midst my pressure
Never weakening my faith against worldly pleasure
Always fortifying me with divine strength’s measure
For me to stand by Your promises that assure.

Thank You for considering me midst my difficulty
Never discounting my ministry-contribution in my full faculty
Always satisfying me whenever I feel empty
For me to enjoy in Your work with Your contentment-bounty.

The Ego

Society has held us captive
Discounting our own perspectives
Our individuality’s defined
Our personalities – entwined

We strive for power and control
And wealth and riches are our goal
We scrape and struggle to succeed
To the collective, we concede

We look to others for direction
Accept their words without direction
Our lives are wrapped up in our titles
And our identity is stifled

But what would happen if it’s finished
Are our triumphs more diminished?
When we’re stripped of our old roles
What will our destiny behold?

Our lives are more than we believe
And that our senses could perceive
Our posts are brief, but our purpose’s huge
While we submit to subterfuge

So we defer to deeper plans
And see life through a wider lens
Embracing growth as more diverse
Our novel conclusions, we’ll disperse

Premium Member Love and Creativity

These days, there seems to be less room for opinion and choice
Like walls closing in, leaving little room to breathe
Freedom truly becomes more and more distant
Like a flower in a field, becoming only a dot to see
People are so focused on how others think
Trying to remove their personal thought process
Even discounting research the person may have done
To live in unity, is not trying to control or force others to conform
Respect is diminished in a mission by those who want things one way
There should be no fear of the expression of opinion
Or censorship against those who only want to express it
Choices made can depend on one’s lifestyle, beliefs or condition
Solutions can come from adapting to one another’s differences
Because all and in the end, we are not all exactly the same
In comparison to nature, nor are the trees, the flowers, the birds
When we accept these differences are what makes this creation,
So colorful, moving in a blend of inspiring success….
The light shines upon what brings us together in a common ground truth
That love and creativity is what connects us all

Hash Tag Me 2 Jp Self Confessed Poetry Addict

I just found myself clicking and
reading one of my favorite poet's Jennifer Proxenos poem's called
An Early Addiction

In which she spells out her joy
and love for poetry and how she
got started

Which inspired me to try make
sense and write or tell my story

After all is not the point of great
poetry to inspire other's

And i realized i have been posting
on soup for over 10 year's now

Given my lack of patience and
limited attention span 10 year's
may as well be a lifetime to me

The only thing i can recount or
recall when it comes to poetry
is that my Dad wrote a poem for
my niece Kayleigh

Otherwise i have no starting point
from which to begin

As when it comes to school i
was never interested in english
and barely passed with a D

To this day my spelling is atrocious
and my gramma little better

Sad as it may be to admit but i can
count the number of books i have
read on the fingers on one hand
and that's discounting index finger
and thumb

My sister was an accomplished
english student and even joked
it took me a week to read a comic

I only started or even wrote my first poem closer to fourty than thirty
year's of age

How on earth and why i'll never know
but i am eternally grateful i did

My only regret is i did not start before
my father died and i could not share
my poem's and poetry with him

And although i am not a poet
persay more like a driver
who needs assistance and
to use a sat-nav to get places
may need to cheat and use
spell check

That my wrote and verse which
posted ascertained as ugly duckling
attempted writting to me is shrouded
in my inner thought expresses

Are to this day still some of my
most proud achievement once
reading back

So much so i struggle to find
the me in self and fully
grasp my worth

Yet here i write and stand cap in
hand begging fir an auidance
proud of most of what i have wrote

Poetry is a passion
Poetry is my drug
Not merely just a hobby
Or passing phase

So cheers
Yours Sincerely
Kind regards
Thanks anyone for reading

Premium Member my potential is frighteningly brilliant

I could be a prima ballerina or a semi driver
could rename myself McCellihouti or McGiver
could become a psychologist, biologist, zoologist,
anthropologist, or an ultra-mologist.

My therapist stops me.
What is an ultra-mologist?
It’s a person who trains for every position just in case.
In case we get to live under the ocean or outer space.

I am not discounting any ideas, for they are all great you see.
Might even become an explorer and discover an unknown sea.
I could be a pirate queen and make others walk the plank.
Could become a wayfarer like my Uncle Hank.

I am open to any profession, for I am great at everything.
Can dance, knit, work on car engines, what will my life bring?
This might seem braggadocio from another.
But I am brilliant and talented – just ask my mother.

Life cannot put any limits on me, you see.
I am confident and wild and wooly and free.

The Bible
By: Miracle Man

The Bible is instruction to which we should adhere,
Through our love of God and not discounting fear.

It's easy to trust Him with things going our way,
And that's when it becomes easiest to neglect to pray.

Neglecting God's word has become too pervasive,
And to Satan, God's word, is extremely abrasive.

We must guard against drifting toward self-reliance,
For then we'll be found guilty, of noncompliance.

Prayerfully study it daily, and absorb its content,
Then being thankful will become a daily event.

Does your Summer miss the snow

Foundation.

Does your Summer miss the snow?

A poem reflecting the persistent, almost seemingly never-ending, haunting nature of loss.

Exploring how bereavement can follow you—turning every place into a somewhere filled with old memories of someone special, whose absence still lingers.

Like Irish Sea Moss

The imagery of Summer missing snow represents grief in an eternal, kaleidoscope.

Relaying the sentiment that heartbreak can be an up and down internal season all oñ its own, discounting external context.

As life continues to spin as sadness slowly creeps in.

Title.
Bereavement.

(A lone voice whispers)

Stranded forever
Everywhere I seem to go

I now know heartbreak
Like Summer misses the snow

We live in our houses
Cocooned in our ways,
Agreeing
In the correctness of ourselves.
Sure we are
Right.
Seeing the world through our one point of view.
                                        A one-person, one feeling perspective.
Not wishing to be confused by others perspectives. Hoping they will keep them to themselves.
		Looking for validation
Of our right-ful-ness.
Adding proof to our own schemata
                                        Discounting anything and everything
                                                   That does not fit.

Savagely ignoring anyone else’s opinions. Closing our minds, turning our backs.
                                            Not wanting to be confused

Especially not being flexible. That is for liberals, right?
