In dreams that she shall wait for me
On misty banks of weathered shoreline,
deplete by ocean’s endless play
Of scattered seas in ageless voyage
and sunsets formed on borrowed bay
Horizons beckon with a daydream,
in distant lines on forward flow
To breezes captured always welcome
as if someone you once did know
A jetty sits in foam laced waters,
eclipsing cold against its skin
Within the sights it surely witnessed,
moon beamed patterns once again
This solitude of thoughts provoking,
a heartbeat dances on a wave
For memories we’ve long forgotten
and many which our hearts have saved
Now here I sit in meditation,
alone of nature’s melody
For this is where my love has spoken,
my woman of the evening sea
This night and every there before me
brings soft, a touch of love so kind
Beyond the washing waves of splendor
for but a voice to call her mine
And now I face this grand conclusion,
what’s meant to be is all I ask
For on the sun’s due north arrival
I stand a’ ready for the task
To send my love to her unending
so far beyond this echoed plea
And pray to find her perfect whispers
in dreams that she shall wait for me
Good night Soupers
This is Mr. Squeaky, mouse reporter,
squeaking to you from the Swiss cheese quarter,
where the crime bosses will decide the price
you'll have to pay for a provolone slice.
My modest size lets me to infiltrate
the safe house where they will decide the fate
of decent queso lovers like you and I -
oh no - they want to restrict the supply!
Don "Blockhead" Cheddarino, barks and glares
at an aging figure, caught unawares,
Gouda Bidini, aged not to perfection,
"Our common goal, deplete the deli section."
What will they do with the power they seize?
Good people, they will take away our cheese!
They'll attack all of us midnight snackers.
They'll take away the brie for our crackers!
This, friends and viewers, is no baloney -
no more cheddar for our macaroni!
We'll take a bite, and we'll sit and stare
when our grilled-cheese sandwich is filled with air.
They're going to agree to a treaty:
no more mozzarella for baked ziti.
We need something stretchy on pizza pie -
a serious case for the FBI.
Better bring in J Cheddar Hoover fast.
My appetite's going nuts - I won't last.
This has been your intrepid mouse reporter,
and aspiring exquisite cheese importer.
Good night and good luck. You think this is so dumb?
Wait 'til you see me in my next po-em.
Rejuvenating Proof
Counteroffensive cataclysms clamouring for defeat
Apprehensive magnetism that makes you feel complete
Comprehensive pragmatism that can sometimes drain and deplete
Recompensive vandalism that leaves you shocked in disbelief
Magnitudes of profound truths that create wisdom for the wise
Terpitudes that are uncouth and crawl around in unethical disguise
Servitudes that hold no proof but are doomed to eventual demise
Platitudes that contain the youth and distort the facts in front of their eyes
Laying on my back I look up toward the blistering sun
Praying for you to take it back as I feel inclined to run
Saying we’re living in times of lack would be understating the sum
Weighing up what has been in fact a loss of delight, joy and fun
Weaponisation of justice that could have gone for more
Legalisation of an armistice as the world prepares for war
Devitalisation of the harvest while we cannot feed the poor
Dehumanisation of the inquest as we ask what all of this is for?
Calcification of an idolisation that was devoid of substance and truth
Calibrations of animations that are manipulating the youth
Altercations of communications that are needed to prove the proof
Imitations of aggravations that require a detective and a sleuth
Rejuvenating the landscape from the environmental degradation
Captivating the escape route as they apply for abdication
Hallucinating the magnetic tape that restricts the aggravation
Ruminating on the holy saint that depicts the consecration

Grey clouds in the sky with snowflakes adrift,
A world in disguise, caught in a rift,
Crumbling virtues with nothing to sift,
A broke down world , in need of a lift.
When you think of life what do u see?
A bunch of hungry people, few are free,
A bunch of crazy people spitting blasphemy,
Nothing ever is how it ought to be.
Lies and deceit make this world incomplete,
Try to paint a picture, get knocked off my feet,
Get up even stronger , my foes I will defeat,
Try to bring me down but I will not deplete.
Greed is the reason for this worlds hate,
Money is the key to the frozen gate,
Stand up together before it's to late,
Or corruption and poverty remain our fate.
Go ahead and make the first move,
but take care
One or two spaces so I can move
to my square
Game of life, I’m queen defending
my king
Pawns, so many seem such
insignificant a thing
I’ll stay in my castle with my
bishop for a lil while
As my knights ride to fight the
enemy in style
I’ll rush about you see when my
king Is in need
Watch for your next move, hope
I don’t misread
Sacrificing so many pieces attempting
to defend
Not a game it’s so real, you see
I won’t pretend
Soon the enemy will deplete my
trusted army
As they attempt to not let
anyone harm me
My role important, my moves
so unrestricted
Game of chance while their moves
I’ve predicted
I hate losing pieces but it’s for
me the Queen
End goal is to sit beside my
king ruling supreme
I’m very loyal down to the very
end, I will fight
Even when I watch fall my last
trusted knight
Each piece to the end will
fight so valiantly
Dying a noble death against those
who challenge me
I must keep my kingdom from
being overthrown
A mind game challenging so many
great unknowns
Hoping my king is truly the one,
and its fate
Because if not...it’s games over,
check mate

Love of my mother's Scotland knows no bounds,
yet she, like me, was destined far to roam.
Her wistful music of the isles surrounds
my everyday, her voice so soft and low.
Sweet songs of love, and yet forever sad,
with veils of deepest melancholy clad.
A lonesome piper plays a slow lament,
or, boldly rousing, urges men to war.
From kith and kin they were so often sent,
their mist-clad hills and glens to see no more.
Or else to unknown futures overseas,
a greedy and uncaring laird to please.
Today, as Scottish hearts still strongly beat,
proudly as ever do they wave their nation's flag,
untrusting of the powers that would deplete
their unity, their centuries old resolve,
to be a sovereign nation once again,
"O Flower of Scotland" their heartfelt refrain.
This occasion I will be quick
use all my every wit and trick
fast as a shooting star
I will follow, like a mammoth
comet I will cut through and
not wallow in the dark, lighting
the sky, a rabid Solar Firefly!
Constant in my blazing
pursuit, though the heavens
are replete with obstacles
thick, I will remain slippery
slick – sliding over the thin weaving
fearlessly through the thick, taking leaps
and bounds like trumpeting elephants making
raging sounds – God knows this muse of
mine will know no rest! – tired of word-salads,
cutesy at best! – Give me something
of your monarch title worthy, and not continue to
deplete my precious poetic time by offering me another
bowl of mushy, flashy, sentimental-card-like, low hanging
fruit, overripe rhyme – or you're fired!!
Bowing head she begins, petitioning assistance, pleading earnestly:
“Forgive me lord, these feelings you inspire have long eluded me,
A stranger in your throne of divinity, I am distressed as can be
Regretful of bygones, replete in misery of blight-ridden streets
Where remnants of my foolish deeds lie dismantled and deplete
Near a battered graveyard, where in repose lies my father’s body,
Sorrowed I stood there, stilled as stone, grieving night all alone
Longing for his forgiveness for things I should have said and done
Choosing instead to be wild and undone, not caring for anyone,
In company of clueless friends where covenants of life I misread
Pretending to celebrate happiness in bonfires of souls wretched;
Sitting on this pew now, guided by invisible hand, I feel glow of light
Going back to my youth, recalling your halo on candles of delight
As feeble beats of my unborn child echo solemn words of prayer
Heartened by your revelations, while unconditional love I declare,
In repentance of contrite past, paying homage to a sanguine start
Gratified you blessed my child, donning enlightenment I’ll depart
In atonement you impart, humming your song in my grateful heart.”
And she steps out into the night crooning lullaby to her beloved child,
A single mother pledging to revise pages of fate in epistle of destiny
Promising to unshroud yesteryear’s dawns in tomorrow’s sunshine,
Vowing to guard her unborn from flawed paradigms, vagaries of time
Poised to defy malevolence in sacred pact with benevolence of life.

The strangest appointment, a moment in time,
An eternal impression, our heart's connect with our eyes,
If there is no such thing as time in heaven,
Can we comprehend just a moment as everlasting?,
If only known for a few minutes, or hours on end,
It doesn't deplete the relationship of the love the moment sends,
So stranger, if I shake your hand?,
Or we sat together in the same room for a certain time span,
If we happened to exchange glances without words,
Or just with one look we understood each others hurt,
It may have been only a couple of minutes here,
But in heaven it will feel like I've known you for years,
For love has no limit and here on earth based on time,
There are no clocks with this lifeline
RAINBOW BELLS
Belittlement of sea and sky with blue
and green entitlement - unfocused lens
of stormy clime — the darkening of hue
in whites of shellacked eyes, aplomb of friends
does drown in haziness. They drink his tears —
the absinthe of their cloudy souls deplete.
Inside the whitewashed tomb, awake to fears.
Those hoppy beers lack taste with sins to greet.
Unexpected — her sunshine fingers lift
his icy lids — the melt like Everest.
Believe in miracles unceasing gift.
The chromatic breath of an angel blessed.
The blinding paste has dealt with former sins.
Arise to rainbow bells as life begins.
