With God’s wondrous wisdom*, we exalt His name
As the Creator Who remains immutably the same
Along His resplendent holiness’ fame
Around brightening majestic flame
Amidst our assured salvation-claim.
With God’s heavenly wisdom, we express His graciousness
As the Father Who gives with loving kindness
Along His great generosity’s bountifulness
Around satisfying supply-fullness
Amidst our contented blessedness.
With God’s available wisdom, we expose His compassion
As the Saviour Who cares with merciful devotion
Along His ready pardon’s provision
Around redeeming sacrifice-function
Amidst our hell-rescued soul’s condition.
With God’s divine wisdom, we extol His sovereignty
As the Leader Who exercises supreme authority
Along His infallible greatness’ infinity
Around unending ages toward eternity
Amidst our everlasting sealed security.
With God’s ready wisdom, we experience His presence
As the Guide Who delights in truth’s essence
Along His steadfast Word’s influence
Around sanctifying righteousness-prevalence
Amidst our strengthened faith’s persistence.
With God’s unwavering wisdom, we expect for His revival
As the Spirit Who triumphs against any sin-rival
Along His mighty power’s upheaval
Around fruit-bearing reward-festival
Amidst our acceptable service-approval.
With God’s perfect wisdom, we exult His glory
As the Master Who triumphs over sinfulness’ misery
Along His timely miracles’ victory
Around perfecting dealings of divine territory
Amidst our joy in declaring the Gospel story.
*1Chronicles 22:12 Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the LORD thy God.

Of Farmers Faces
David J Walker
Traces of every hour
spent in the sun
tracked in the faces of
every farmer
I’ve ever known that
devour the granted days of life
Including the strife in the faces
Of my Father
Born a farmer
And my Mother
From another farm nearby
The crops in the field
Yield children
And chickens and roosters that try to
Crow every morning a warning
Concerning the coming sun
The traces of every year
Are carved in the crevasse
Covered faces of
Every farmer that
I have ever known
People ask why? Why do you express?,
Why do you wear your heart on your chest?,
Why do you even bother to explain?,
When people already know, don't you think it's a waste?,
Yet, I have always believed, we must be reminded,
We repeatedly re-member, in order to guide us,
What some see as simple, or sounds stupid to say,
Must be replanted in our hearts to remind us again,
We are a habit forming people, we repeat all the time,
That jolt brings us back, it reconstructs our mind,
We look back at our choices, we look back on our mistakes,
It monitors our growth, we check our hearts this way,
I believe anything I share, I need to hear it too,
I say it out of love for me and for you,
Words that come from the soul matter in this life,
Whether or not they sound wrong or right,
It's the breath of freedom that uncovers the truth,
A declaration of the heart concerning the next step we choose,
So I'll take that constructive criticism, that perspective, that idea,
It may not concern me at the moment, but it might next year,
I 'spose there are many religious tenets open to interpretation.
Old John Calvin proposed another upon receiving inspiration,
When he propounded the ticklish matter of predestination,
Thereby, causing more angst concerning one's eternal salvation!
Most folks blithely saunter along live's treacherous path,
Trying their best to behave and avoid their Maker's wrath,
At times straying from the route the Creator has planned,
Assuming by good works they'll reach the Promised Land!
I reckon folks will seldom concur on spiritual potpourri,
And 'specially on predestination, theologians will disagree.
We can only plod the straight and narrow e'er doing His will.
Be it predestination or faith, only He our fate will fulfill!
We among the quick will never know how He judges our fate,
'Til we pass thro' that mysterious veil and enter Peter's gate!
Is it predestination that determines who draws the short straw,
Or does He use other methods for administering Divine Law?
'Tis a profound homily that John Calvin did compose.
As for my stone this epitaph I would humbly propose:
"If predestination it be, eons ago I pray Thou has destined me,
To enter Thy heavenly abode to be at eternal rest with Thee!"

I used to think collateral damage was something,
Only Generals and politicians had to worry about.
How wrong I was.
No matter whether the decisions we all take are good or bad,
Others mostly bare the consequences.
And there is no use denying that fact.
Parents will have sleepless nights over the decisions they make,
Concerning their children.
Doctors will have sleepless nights over the decisions they make,
Concerning their patients.
Lawyers will have sleepless nights over the decisions they make,
Concerning their patients.
Friends will have sleepless nights over the decisions they make,
Concerning each other.
There seems to be nowhere to hide when it comes to the use,
Of collateral damage and sleepless nights.
So, maybe we should not hide from it,
Opting instead, to take those hard decisions,
Without fear or favor,
Because not taking them will not help us sleep any better,
And leaving them up to the generals and politicians,
May only up the consequences for us all.
Rain calms my soul with its soft trickling
Soothing my worries with reflection
On mental waves of calming acceptance
Sent from God through His warm shower
Rain calls out to me through the lightning
Bolts so bold they illuminate through thunder
Swiftly lighting up the sky with electricity
Sent from heaven to enliven the very air
Rain embraces me with its gentle touch
Sprinkling down to whisper tender words
Of devotion to the One who knows everything
And promises to give the heart reassurance
Rain carries me through the claps of thunder
With a sense of elation that I can endure
This testing of the senses concerning trust
In the One who brings us all nature’s delights
Rain cleanses the earth with its renewing grace
Gives the moon and stars a transformed place
For carrying the night into the beauty of dawn
Where God sheds His light from the morning sun
Rain awakens the creatures to a replenishment
Fills the streams and rivers with a hope for fresh dreams
Renewing the earth’s blue waters and azure seas
With a gift from heaven to the awaiting sprays
Rain lifts the spirits of those who know what love
Was given to the ones who lived on Noah’s ark
And knew the spirit’s promise from God above
To always plead the rainbow as a vow to all of us
Read Genesis 9:8-9:17 for the covenant of the rainbow
The apostle Paul here speaks so bold
rejoice evermore but does He really know?
about life's struggles even for believers
for in Christ one can rejoice with heavenly glow
Prayer is indeed the Christians vital breath
exhorted by the apostle to have a prayerful attitude
that should always be crying out on high
for God answers always wise for your gratitude
A thankful heart is a blessed thing
for it's always good to give appreciation
to show how pleasing you truly feel
always bring praise especially your redemption
It's so essential to be in God's will
knowing God's providence being in action
revealing Jesus Christ as your blessed hope
this is perfect to bring about a real transaction
The transformation of your spiritual redemption
is God's will truly just for you
what better gift could you ever receive?
rejoice, pray be thankful to always do
(" Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ")

Allison Jones had a terrific career.
She was on the rise as a software engineer.
Her Upper West Side apartment was certainly great.
However, to meet expenses, she needed a roommate.
Concerning the high rent, there was some doubt.
That started when she asked her fiancée to move out.
After an exhaustive search, the right one came one day.
Hedy Carlson was the girl who would stay.
Allie, how were you supposed to know?
There was tragedy in Hedy’s life long ago.
Her twin sister met an early demise.
Personal guilt was something Hedy would surmise.
Hedy’s real name was Ellen, and she had a quirky past.
Allie figured this relationship should not last.
Ellen’s dark episodes left plenty of room for doubt.
How did things turn out? Rent the DVD and check it out.
Based on the 1992 film “Single White Female”.
¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ in vain ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦¦¦ order
With eyes ¦¦¦¦ ¦¦¦¦ forlornly ¦¦¦¦ they must,

That will not let us wait.

And it is well, since we must go together,
That we are not to know.

(Blackout of The Old Kings New Jester by Edwin Arlington Robinson)
I I suspected I had contracted
sure death,
where would I go, where
death would not follow me?
Pandemics
like water they would
take the path
of least resistance
O' death how it followed
Me.
Preparations
concerning pure death
and death
is my name, not Duncan
being black
turned away, but I stayed.
Prosecuting
this violent strain
being burned
to a crisp
more love for a God
that only people
like you
have spelled backwards.
Profits deserve
their bottom line they
through each death
have obtained.
Children
have no understanding
Of
spreading the measles
that their
lacking deaths
wisdom
all parents would spread
through
the promotion of
death, Mmm it can.
Who benefits
the
most by spreading
black death
it took decades back
then where
man couldn't
fly
or simply put tried to hide.
A penny a day
each day when you double
that penny
won't
stay the same
as it's doubled it's worth
at the end
of thirty short days.
Death is here
death will stay whenever
some person
draws
the blood of Ebola
death
then as you know
unlike death it's kissing cousin
is freed once again
death to spread.
