Splashed myself with Jovan musk..
to cover up sweat from the docks.
worked all day, back ached.,but I swear,
I'm comin' to see you bright-eyed one.

'Cause you were the best of times,
you were the worst of times, and 
I swear to always love 'em both...

Quick fill up for the trusty Mercury..
picked through my favorite tapes,
while miles of curvy road fade to twilight. 

Sister Fran said 'she'll be down in a minute',
I sit and talk to her and brother Tom..,
while you preen and finger the Aqua Net..

Fashionably late to the Sadie Hawkins dance.,
let it sway and twirl in your Farrah Fawcett waves,
acted bored at the tinsel covered gym,
friends in decoration committee made so fine..

And I care about you so, never want to let you go,
it's sure to break my weary mind. 

Pull you close to let the street lights play..
pass my arm around elastic waist,
jean pockets were made to hook a lover
and I always love that bright eyed face.  

Two fiery eyes shined in the best of times,
stormy reverie in the worst of times, and 
I swear to always love 'em both...

Throughout the years, I write and write
Didn't give much care whether wrong or right
For in my heart, all I really want is to share and inspire
I want this, so I find a way then try and try

I went to different blogs and websites
Really wanting post my reflections and insights
Across all the choices, I found this soup not of goodies
But a soup of poets and poetess, young and not so oldies

Submitting a one, two and three prose
Excited to see persons whom I arose
Encouraging to see such heartfelt posts
Of praises and comments, so inviting for a toast

Good lucks, says Skat A maybe an "A's" on her poems
Thank you, thank you very much for the warm welcome
Of hugs across the globe and praises, I receive each time

On this love month of February, even past Valentine
Let me dedicate this composition, I hope just in time
To all writers: verse, haiku, couplets and rhymes etc
Short either a paragraph or to long poems

As Won

A perfect of delight the morning
a brunch for 20 people.
Delicious the word of the day 
Dill, cilantro,garlic, cucumbers
,green onions,lime juice, cream
Cheese, chopped Swiss cheese,
Bacon  and olive oil mixed smooth
Served with watercress 
Cured salmon 
Cured herring
Procuttio 
Toasted garlic bread

Scrabbled eggs
Ribeyed steak steak loaf
With fried onions, mushrooms
Provolone, cream cheese
Peppers, bacon wrapped in
Pastry and served with cheese
Sauce 
For dessert a
Glorious raspberry and strawberry
Pastry tarte with pastry cream
And Carmel pecans

Coffee, sprite and vodka infection

Education Secretary Ellen,

Some of us
on the EarthCare Team
and also the Transport Solutions Committee
for special projects
are wondering
and, frankly, hoping

Your green STEAM students
and teachers
might research,
design,
and help residents paint
a historically accurate
AND polyculturally exquisite
series of murals

On our two-tiered
upper, more transcendently hopeful,
and lower, more historically faithful,
retaining walls

After our crumbling concrete parking pads
and steel-framed industrial artifacts
are hauled away
with respect and gratitude
for future repurposing

Our Transport Solutions
and EarthCare Elders
hope to use this transitional moment
to divert water runoff
to north and south bermed
and graceful descent
down toward our sacred RiverGaia,
rather than continuing to run
race
to disgrace our wet unhealthy basement

Thereby diverting soiled water stains
from historic runoff narrative face
retaining walled epic paintings,
perhaps combined with etching,
to tell a true and beautiful tale
about this sacred place
where we live
and work,
garden
and enjoy our EarthCare classroom
residence,
inside and outside

As did indigenously wise
Elders before us

And RiverGaia
learned Her future shape and flow
from ancient predative
cold
relentless icey white glaciers,

As will future natural construction
and deconstruction regenerators,
Thermal students
of green STEAM polyculturing Elders,
including co-invested us

Learning new Truth
and old Beauty Stories

Of how EarthCare givers
and health-care receivers
survived mistrust
to compassionately,
nonviolently 
exquisitly thrive together
more better
when less apart.


An Interpretation of Nature and School

Why was my whole special school life, 
An interpretation of nature and school?
A philosophical contemplation and analysis,
A freeway inquiry into the education tool. 

Because the god concept was lain out,
On the household table, delicately spread, 
I was sharp at social phenomenon, 
Even as a primary child was not off my head.  

When I journeyed down the corridors, 
Slowly, because of my disability, 
I was more often than not on my own,
‘Cos the others would show off their mobility. 

So I thought about the politics, 
Of the special school and our integration right, 
Our need of ramps and disabled toilets, 
The importance of everybody’s mindset height. 

I classed the whole organisational structure as wrong, 
For using the carers as playtime supervisors,
‘Cos in my old nursery school the teachers contravened, 
In any tit-for-tat playground misdemeanours. 

The teachers knew us in the classroom, 
So adjudicated fairly and with respect, 
Were able to administer justice, 
Wherever there was a point of regret. 

The carers were just not on my level, 
And you had to do what they said, 
Which overshadowed my whole experience, 
Which made me much see red. 

It was believed that the carers had a light on, 
Because they scribed for us in maths,
But your profession level sets your reception, 
Of high-flyers’ stares and laughs. 

I mean, I didn’t ever laugh at them,
For their low rank and position,
But that just meant they never put me with, 
My parents speech and religion.

But I considered myself determined philosophically, 
Not in the free-will line of thought camp, 
And just needed a man, board or committee, 
To rejuvenate myself and amp. 

So I often spoke with the school doctor, 
The boss of the cliques and staff, 
But the other pupils resented it, 
Laughing at my physical prospects, chaff. 

When your life does not go right, 
Insist, if you can, on calling the shots,  
Make appointments with the gods, 
And beam with importance watts.

Premium Member Running Out of Choices

Your choice my committee said. But not human, Bo added.
Bo is the head, and the most eager spiritual guide to get me to level yes.
Bo can get re-assigned when I hit mastery.
When he first undertook project me he said we have all the time in the world. Ha!

If you think heaven is complicated, wait until you have to choose your re-assignment.
Re-entry? No problem. Family choosing, another story. 
Why not human? I asked Bo.
You have mastered the human level, he reminded me. 
The others threw back their heads and laughed.
They did not think so, but Bo is incredibly persuasive, and he persuaded them that I had.
They knew they had been half-duped, but they liked Bo and me, and they wanted to move on.

There are only six levels to master after human, Bo reminded me.  But you get to decide
Your own order. You have fifteen minutes to decide.
Apparently the committee had another recruit arriving soon.
I choose dog, I told them.  
Dog sometimes does not last past puppy, Angel Six reminded me.
Angel Seven gave him a squelching look which is rare in heaven.

My only other choices were bunny, cat, deer, eagle, and dolphin.
Bunnies are often coyote food; I am haughty enough already, so cat was out.
I despise the idea of spreading lime disease, so not deer.
Flying appeals to me, but I do not feel mature enough to handle a beak yet.
Crumb! I meant to say dolphin. I turned to see if I could change it, but they had dissipated.
With any luck this reincarnation will not last half as long as the last one where I lived to be ninety-two.

Premium Member pretend I am dead

The social committee came to me in the form of Mrs. Breast Pump.
Mrs. BP has been taking advantage of many of us for months now.
She is supposed to have two twenty-to-thirty minute pumping breaks.
It is the law.

But she is gone an hour to an hour and a half twice a day.
I do not blame her. Her class is out-of-control, off the chain, and mean.
A minute seems like forty. I watch her stop and talk to six people when she is supposed to return.
I want to yell “get in here Missy!”

Anyway, Mrs. BP came toward me one day and said this
“We are having a retirement party for Mitzy. We don’t know what to do with you.”
Mitzy and I are retiring the same day – June 1st.
I know why she said this. Mrs. A, her mean girl friend and I got into it a week ago.
Mrs. A. yelled at me in such a way, I was afraid she was going to hit me.

I said “Pretend that I am dead. You would not have a party for a dead person right?”
This is how fond I am of this school staff.
“Really?” she asked, in an up-lilting way.
Like she was delighted.

Believe it or not, this is exactly what they did.

the cool breeze fondles
the old tattered flag as it
hangs on the flagpole
displaying it's frayed faded
colors of red, white, and blue

fluid in the wind 
drawing your ears to the flags
flapping sounds trying
to tell manifold stories
of men and women's valor

That Inerrant Scape

The inerrancy of the bible enrages me, 
Boils my blood, riles me and angers, 
Makes the interpretation prerogative limp, 
Nullifies that interpretation bud passed onwards, 
From every author who’s not embarrassed. 

You read knowing the art of literature, 
Is in its reader’s agreed distance from the writer,
Knowing your book’s rationally contrived, 
Aware of your right to read it your own way, 
Understanding the possible word play. 

The bible is not authored in any way whatsoever, 
Has many different historical authors, contributors, 
’Twas compiled by the Nicean committee, 
Maybe, by a group of intellectuals deep,
So that Jesus and an insight we could keep. 

Computer Science confronts with dares, 
Regarding your view of the written word, 
Makes fundamentalists intrepid and silent, 
About their author god who cheers and assists, 
Even when reading the text, when reason so persists. 

Computers let you delete certainties, things, 
Change and edit completed documents,
Tell you that you’re human and creative, 
Welcome your attempts, errors and mistakes, 
And give fundamentalists the quiet quakes.  

All inerrancy will do is frighten you and scare, 
Vanquish your reason with its complementation, 
Evade form for an augmented version of it, 
Which will emerge as a differently defined structure, 
Worth neither solidification nor the puncture. 

There are no wrong actions with my computer, 
No thought or situation that can’t be expressed, 
No colour unavailable on the rainbow palate, 
No code not writable, not fixable or reworkable, 
No desire inconceivable, that’s not addressable.
