The Day Your Child Stabs You
Version 1
In order to weep
I guess I must care;
At least enough to stress
Over these words, to share.
To her free mind, half mine
She stares down at me...
But not for one second
But perpetual eternity.
Mistakes, unforgiven,
Yet nodded upon,
social contracts in the air
But forever shunned.
The air thick with resentment
Over war zones entrenched
Like poison over drudgery
Liberty over stale love's stench.
Spreading her wings over our
Clipped flight,
And gliding over us,
As every next generation must.
I shut down and give up.
Can't be disappointed
Ever again.
Pick up your spoon or your needle
Or your bottle or pill;
Your children dance on your grave,
Before you are ever ill.
Version 2
Tell me again
Of your woke generation
I will sit in my diaper
Waiting for your instruction.
Tell me again how
Everyone has a right to their
Sexuality and
Reference points
Of they or them or assigned
At birthness.
Tell me how understanding
You are, and how your generation has
Finally got it right.
I will drink my booze
And swallow my dope
In my late 20th century
Americana maleness,
All the while shivering
In skin, too afraid to address
Any of my
personalities.
Version 3
My child steps on
Her blind spot
Which is on top
Of my mental illness
To preach from her soap box
About how prejudicial I am
Towards society's victims.
Cancer took from me
Many, many years ago
My best and most cherished friend...
And over the years
It didn't stop just there
It has taken members of my family
It has taken lovers
It has taken many other friends.
It has been generational
It has been painful
Cancer has often signified the end.
It has signified the end of cherished kisses.
The end of conversations that last all night
The end of someone's companionship
Companionship that you will always crave
Throughout both days and nights.
Having one taking leave of their earthly pain and darkness
And moving on in to a heavenly light.
I still feel the weight of my friend's body
I have felt that weight throughout the years
I still feel myself telling myself to remember to breathe
I remember trying to stand strong through all my tears.
There is nothing, nothing sadder than that
Than holding up the casket of a wonderful friend
Its sadness will always be with me
Some things stay with us until our own ends.
And so on this Hallowed Eve
This first night of the Newest Year
I will be thinking of all those that I have lost
Those that I have loved throughout the years.
This night signifies a new beginning
It signifies some bitter ends
But I will always remember those
Those I have loved until their ends.
I will think about them often
How their presence has changed my life
I will chersih the fact that I had them
That I had them at all in this life.
And so I look toward this New Year
And all the new friends in my life
And I look forward to sharing myself with them
The continuation of the ongoing circle of life.
New friendships start out as being different
They are not the same as the beloved old
But they have the potential to grow into that
The silver can evolve into gold.
I love the people that I have in my life
I love having them grow closer and ever more dear
I love sharing fun and laughter with them every day
I look forward to this new upcoming year.

The sun rise's every day
Displaying wonders in a captivating way
And the sun, it sets, every night
With Gods paint brush,
The sky polishes colors to say its goodnight
And the stars, shimmer where ever you are
If you’re lucky, you’ll even see a shooting star
And the moon chooses to smile, grin, or frown
Once a month it decides to solely be round
And the seasons, they change, four times a year
Exposing the circle of life, with its turns, tugs and tears
A simple seed
Awakens into a marvelous flower
While a tornado can destroy a town in less than an hour
And the snow, porcelain snow, can cover a whole city or state
While penguins spend their life with only one mate
There are animals in the sea, humans have yet to find
Nature,in every way, is exceptionally divine
A performance can be found at any part of the day
I am in AWE of all of creation, a gift to the potter’s clay.

Even unto the ages,
I am with thee.
As the world, entered into
a deteriorating cycle,
evil shall arise and the
dark ages shall return.
Rages, torture, self destruction,
lies and deceitfulness,
assassinations, abductions, will
be rationalisatised by
the impious leaders of the world.
These leaders will be engendering war,
which will send the people into
a state of frenzy,
causing innocent blood
to be shed,
all by the hands
of the enemies.
The spread of genocide
shall continue as the wiping out
of tribes, continue to
depart, due to extinction,
by the evildoers.
The comings of nuclear war
shall generate a catalym,
that shall put the world back
into a desolate place.
Nevertheless, as these events
draw near, consecrate my commandments,
heart them, and I shall be with
thee, teaching and guiding the way.
In the days to come,
guard thy consciousness
as the war, has always
been against thy consciousness
from the beginning of the ages.
Cognizes thyself and apprehend
the power thee hold,
for thy life, depends on it.
As the ages creepth up,
man must save himself,
or perish for lacking
our knowledge.
Awake old man, and drink
of my wisdom. Attain
the knowledge that hounds
thy flame in bondage.
For only this will manumit
thee from the hands
of death and unchaining
thee from the circle of life.
Remain steadfast and
apprehend, that even unto the
ages, I am with thee.
I am a triangle I’m light energy
Heaven’s traveler placed in a time
And a vessel I stand on ground
Barefooted erected
High vertical I am trying and my Father is circle we’re both infinite
---Midst balance, harmony and growth and connecting with the infinite and divine.
A sense of freedom, expansion and entity with Elohim Father,
Representing the circle of life and infinity
Journey as a heaven’s traveler filled with love, light and joy as stayed connected with God continue

Decisions
Once again the day has come and gone
So many things still left undone
Waiting for that right someone
Hoping he hasn’t come and gone
Wanting to be independent and free
All the while the thought scares me
Thoughts keep floating through my head
At times i don’t want to get out of bed
Needing to make it on my own
Wanting to prove that I am all grown
Breaking free is hard to do
Don’t want to disappoint you
I see the fear in your eye
Your little girl is trying to fly
You’re scared that i’ll leave you
But know I will always need you
Now it’s my time
To see how high i can climb
I know i can do it
Your love helps me through it
Don’t want you to you think i’m running away
For back to you i’ll always sway
You helped me grow and help me learn
But now it is my turn
Because of your i’ll never sink
You taught me how to swim
I’ll always have you
This is just something i have to do
Spread my wings and leave the nest
You’ll be a big part of the rest
It’s the circle of life
Dealing with all this strife
Right now i won’t bend
It’ll come in the end
Feeling like I am left behind
These last few years been in a bind
Wanting freedom but needing you
So unsure of what to do
Knowing i should take this chance
Not quite knowing how to dance
In the end just make it up
Learning it’s part of life to screw up
I’m still afraid to make mistakes
Knowing sometimes that what it takes
Knowing life may not be easy
At times not fun or breezy
But in the light of a new day
Everything’s clear all the way
I know what i have to do
Even though in some ways it may hurt you
But i’ll say it again like i did before
I’ll always have an open door
I hope you’ll use it
I know you’ll come through it
I’ll only be a call away
If you need me in any way
Remember this isn’t goodbye
Only something i must try
At sunrise the heron soars effortlessly upon the breeze
waves roll in crashing upon the rocks and beaches
rising tides reach high upon the sands then fade away
the sun breaks through my window and kisses my cheek.
Round and round and round the great circle of life travels;
much like a whirlpool of bubbles in a small woodland stream.
Day turns to night; night to morn, as clouds migrate on their way
the misty morning rings the bell and the deathbeds overflow.
Into autumn's burnt ashes and all the saddened masses;
It was winter's chill when my spirit lifted; my heart thrived;
from a dead frozen shard, and my soul was forever freed.
Just because you're breathing doesn't mean you're alive.
At sunset the heron soars effortlessly into a colorful twilight
the waves now whisper to the rocks and sandy beaches
great tides fall slowly as the full moon rises in a pink sky
a lullaby rocks me to sleep as moonlight kisses my cheek.
Coiled up for winter slumber it had rested the budding pledge
Soil still moist the promise is waiting for blossoms and sedge
To give host to migrating birds returning from busy regeneration
A miracle planted by knowing creation and heartwarming sensation
Swallows circle over hedges filled with daffodils and berry shoots
Below the wild brush with spring in its steps an abundance of roots
Sketch channels of promise faith and nature from deep undercover
As if a cave dwelling hermit is reunited once more with his lover
The vernal seasons blossoms on polychrome canvas and realign
Meaning in the eye of change with perpetual motion designed
To pause for thought reflection silent prayer and humble appraisal
Meanwhile spiders wed on their cobwebs spun from witch hazel
An owl proposes to her mate and sends a call into rustling breeze
Which embraces in gentle caress the unperturbed colony of bees
‘Honey’ they shout ‘its time to leave the hive once more for food’
Jelly Royal for breakfast and wild herbs to improve on our mood
Meanwhile gelatinous creatures awaken on shore lines and beaches
Unaware that we are hankering for freshness and gathering peaches
The serpent claims it is about apples and dates for paradise earth
Gaia watches over an abundance of kindness and reincarnated birth
Soon it will be summer and fields will harvest unless the grim reapers
Call to join crosses and tombstones overgrowing with climbing creepers
The equinox reminds us that we are impermanent and life is quite finite
And that with star dust and good fortune the moment beats hindsight
Past future and present are really synonymous expressions of being
Blindfolds and double vision mistake the moment for the illusion of seeing
Here and now the circle of life spins our short insignificant vital span
Inflated by greed and possessions when in truth there is a different plan

Death
There is only one guarantee in life, death.
From the first breath we take,
to the last breath we expel.
We walk with the angel of death.
Death is beside us when we sleep.
Death wakes with us each morning.
If we should falter as we walk through life,
death is there to catch us when we fall.
Freeing us from the burdens, pain and suffering,
brought on by the prisons we create for ourselves.
Each person we touch we influence.
Each person we influence we become a part of.
When we touch another with words that we write,
we influence them.
Should what we write survive our demise,
our ability to influence others survives.
For all intent and purposes,
a part of us lives forever in those we touch.
We remain a part of the circle of life.

there are so many thoughts within one mind.
some lost others forgotten, begin bleeding out as I write.
Shed tears while missing the sun, all while gazing at the stars burning bright
reminiscent of the garden where my heart still resides
take me back to ground zero. beginning the circle of life.
Wishing to a well of living water,
as reconstruction continues within my mind .
water rushing downstream, river running as much as I.
Was sent a key and a mirror to illuminate what my eyes can't hide.
This never ending shift in the revolving door of emotions and morality.
leaves me without breath somehow still breathing.
cut open is my flesh, as rogue thoughts crash like waves on the shore.
restless is my mind while eyes lock in a steady haze.
the dryness in the air causes blinking eyes to wonder.
how most lose their sight, not many stop to ponder.
to live faceless in a blinding world.
Hearing the pain in anothers song- we must all somehow be related.
Having poured out all of one self
questions remain
was it ever love or always lust.
voicing my reality becoming like a temperature too hot to touch.
unable to unsee what has become fragile,
while I became careless
Snickers across the room holding as much weight as the finger food left sat upon each plate.
another disruption, not clear in instruction.
wilting while alive living somehow dead
abra-cadavers a magicians box left unattended.
the editor's sticky note writes "we do not recommend it"
word of advice you might want to resend it.
resend as in once more, in case the message lost?
or resending as undoing words spoken in fear of another loss
Terrible person with good intentions.
Forever flawed intermixing with a hopeless hallelujah.
Prayers to the Lord for he knows my heart.
He's seen how it ends for it was through Him it starts.
