The Unusual Grandmother

Before morning would emerge
The infants stomach became large,
Usual infant's cry became scarce
Where is the mother
Or father?
Tell them to surface.

Mother cried as she saw her babies face,
"Thou unusual thing, where from?
Bring me the broom
Mother needs the broom
In Africa, brooms
Cures gloom And doom.
Mother flogs the infant
Yet she was not triumphant
Weeping became enormous
Like an elephant.

Mother cried a river,
While grand mother sat
In a corner,
Without the sign of anger,
worry, ponder or wonder.
But cherishing laughter.
She picked the broom to
It's position.

Where is the preacher?
Where is the preacher?
Mother seem to remember
Needed is his attention
Tell him to his God, mention.
Grand mother squeezed her face
For things were about to be in place.

The preacher was summoned,
Prayer was altered,
Some one confessed.....
The unusual grand mother
Sibling of Lucifer....

"Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces,
I would still plant my apple tree . . ." Quote - Martin Luther

_____________________

              I have died twice,
        sorry, I should be more precise;
I have twice knocked on the gate up above.
but was sent home with love.
It seems this girl still has things to do in this world,
  so back to earthly living-   with wings unfurled;
     knowing this life is gnarled,
               and today- must suffice.

              Yes, today is mine,
        for my tomorrow may not twine;
I have known often the sorrow- of death,
        waited, weeping for a breath.
Have loved my beloved like there is no tomorrow,
  and been left in today-   holding only sorrow;
    somehow, finding strength to borrow,
               waiting for- a sign.

              So, I live moments,
        for in life there are no agreements;
if tomorrow does not arrive for me,
it is 'cause there was no guarantee.
Oh yes, "What if there was no tomorrow?" You wrote,
  well, my answer is-   that in today I will float;
setting sail for my true north in a boat,
               cherishing - life's fragments.

Premium Member My Journey In Poetry

In the diaphanous sapphire night,
the drizzling dust of descending moonbeam
adorned the pearl-laced waves of the rolling sea,
where I sauntered in the desolate corridor of mind,
following the footsteps of the elusive muse.

The rain-washed sparkling seamless sky
spread the spectrum of my diamond dreams,
weaved with chromatic charisma of rainbow ribbons,
arching over the halcyon horizon that beckoned me,
where I discovered my innate imagination flourish.

In stalled times wafting the miasma of despair,
I turned the emotion into lyrics of creative craving.
On its fantasy wings in the resonating rhapsodic air
to the boundless realm of exaltation, I flew free beguiled,
when life-cherishing vigor of vision made me a poet.

I breathe poetry of ebullient emotion, the designer of dreams,
search for the sublime sense of frosted feelings,
as they mingle totally with my twilight time,
my mind merges with sensual obscurity with impulses ingrained.

The crystal path I pave to the realm of retreat
along the contorted contours of deserted desire.
There the roses bloom amidst the spiculed cactus,
within the entrained imagination,
take me with the migrating mirage to the oasis of reverie,
where the structure of desolation is dismantled.

From the verdant splendor sprouts the foliage of fervor,
the canopy cast colors of the new sapphire sky
on the canvas of the poet’s absorbent heart.
As the twilight sequesters sonorous silence in the static time,
the poetry of life flows under the star-studded sky
with the fluidized passion serenely sequined.

The mesmeric moonbeam sprinkles silver dust,
my muse wafts in dreams with the tinsels of longing,
across the rhyming mesmerized landscape,
flies in your firmament on the wings of lyrical zephyr,
entrancing me with the rhythm of reminiscence,
that enthuses me to write the poem for you.

Premium Member Blue

If there were none other but the shade of your eyes
Which mimics the sky on a morning
When every bird beats its wings to exhaustion
Trying to reach that periwinkle perfection above;
Were the only streak defining a rainbow's glory
To be the same as your favorite jeans, that embrace your curves with
A familiarity that only your closest friend dare use
Knowing how to bend the indigo denim deliciously;
If the seas lapped upon the shore in the exact shade of turquoise of the
Pendant that dances seductively in and out of the neckline of your favorite blouse
Creating the perfect high and low tide with your every slight catch of breath;
Then you would not only indwell me, our souls having become one,
But you would surround me, a blessing of blue as far as the eye could see.
Blue -- for a love more powerful than the ocean's unrelenting waves.
Blue -- for a love so all-encompassing yet ethereal that it rivals the very sky we exist beneath.
Blue -- for the streak in a rainbow and a promise from God of cherishing for eternity.
You are a treasure as rare as a blue moon, yet more beautiful and mysterious.
I am a humble pilgrim hoping to find gold but overwhelmed by the unexpected value of . . . Blue.

A Prayer of Love

Dear Oyindamola, shall we pray?

In the mighty name of your dazzling beauty
I make a profession of my intention for our unification in emotional unity
I decree and declare in all honesty
To forever be yours alone in emotional unity
Loving you with all my heart respecting your territorial integrity
Working hard to sustain and maintain your dazzling beauty

In the mighty name of your unignorable beauty
I speak in the language of the Lord God Almighty
To forgive you of your iniquity
And ensure your emotional sanity
Loving,
Caring,
Cherishing,
Valuing
And appreciating you all the days of my life
While you happily respond to the title, my wife

In the name of the bond and love that we share I pray. Amen

Her birth began the moments of cherishing my sweet girl,
her worth finds atonement through perishing my world.
She stands alone in the brilliance of the sky with pink hues,
tiny hands condone in an instance of wearing tiny shoes.

Focus of attention on a center stage with children her age,
a bonus without exemption, engaged in laughter, sweet Paige.
She walks into a room and eyes drop with mouths closed,
she talks to the moon surprised, lovely and composed.

She tip-toes like a sweet angel and sleeps with a white halo,
she flips and goes crazy and leaps like a state-wide tornado.
Crowded around the princess like she owns her own throne,
astounded and priceless, I know my arms she calls her home.

Treated with utmost respect from her peers and family,
created from prose and intellect, a dear girl, quite chatty.
Growing up I always believed in innocent miracles for sure,
when holding Paige I am relieved, my admirable cynosure.

September 3 Heart for God Bible Meditations Based on Ezekiel 16-17

Key Verse – Ezekiel 16: 8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.

HEART THAT TRUSTS THE LORD FOR HIS COVENANT WITH US

Our heart trusts the Lord for His covenant with us around His everlasting victory
Being His children because of His Gospel story
So grateful are we to possess His promised land territory
As we exalt Him always praising His marvelous glory.

Our heart trusts the Lord for His covenant with us around His awesome magnificence
Being His worshippers because of His mercy’s essence
So blessed are we to stay in His assured presence
As we pray to Him always seeking His answer’s incense.

Our heart trusts the Lord for His covenant with us around His great perfection
Being His believers because of His justification
So privileged are we to experience His regeneration toward our transformation
As we serve Him always learning from His wise instruction.

Our heart trusts the Lord for His covenant with us around His shining holiness
Being His saints because of His imputed righteousness
So humbled are we to own His redemption-fullness
As we live for Him always radiating His Scriptural joyfulness.

Our heart trusts the Lord for His covenant with us around His heavenly investment
Being His heirs because of His divine nature-endowment
So glad are we to receive His seal-commitment
As we please Him always obeying His wondrous commandment.

Our heart trusts the Lord for His covenant with us around His powerful might
Being His followers because of His Biblical light
So fortunate are we to have His kindness-delight
As we draw near Him always progressing along His direction-height.

Our heart trusts the Lord for His covenant with us around His sovereign leadership
Being His stewards because of His offered partnership
So elated are we to abide in His workmanship-fellowship
As we glorify Him always cherishing His eternal friendship.

In the still of the morning, before the sun has
                                            shone her face,
Before the light reaches out and traces my familiar space,

Quietly I retreat, with meditative thoughts,
The gentle steady breath of our sleeping dog,
The murmur of appliances, running night and day,
Funny I don't notice, after the sun has pushed her way,

Nearing 6 a.m., quiet as can be, cherishing these moments
                                       Grateful for the Sanctity.

Premium Member Thinking of You

Giving into emotions wildly
passionate in thought but softly
thinking realizing meaning
dreaming during an evening walk
listening to the tone of my heart
conquering shyness and pity
kissing the lips of nature so golden

A mounting trail of grief and tears
real and salted in a wound so fresh
finding beauty so pure and honest
forgiving all in a moment’s flash
finding love again so sweet so pure
eyes moist crying soft part of the soul
running fingers through hair so soft

I seek your presence always
intense in feeling
hopeful in intent
always playful always
sweetly kissing your lips
gazing deeply into your eyes
touching holding feeling

My love is present forever
this soul moved and cherishing
golden tear drops emotions pure
dry their splashes laughter comes
living each moment to fullest pitch
saying only “Hi” and never goodbye
full of meaning most wondrous true

How precious our love is always
ancient treasures no greater nor grander
wishing always everlasting memory
wanting the best against all odds
seizing the day making all joyful
crying and forgiving always
making our spirits our souls one

Walking in that sweet summer wind
all cares away emotions present
embracing warmly and often
caressing in the moist warm wind
kissing most divinely and often
finding our destiny and love so true
crying tear drops rejoicing in life

Angels and happiness pervade our thoughts
the light the intensity the feeling so
consummating our oneness whole
dreams fulfilled passion rewarded
our hearts beat now as one as one
under Mother Nature’s umbrella
passion love emotion feeling forever

Premium Member A Lifetime Together

You are the tea leaves, I am the tea pot,
I the tiny snowflakes, and you the snow,
Hand in hand we traverse a lifetime together--
Granting your half, you make me whole.

You are the smile on face of my happiness,
I am the shadow guarding your footsteps
Firmly in lock steps of today and tomorrow
Cherishing the yore and future of evermore.

I am the rose bush, you’re pink blossoms,
You the scent of flowers in my spring garden;
In quest of my life, you’re the only reason,
Flame of my soul, you light-up my seasons.

Together we paint our ebullient daybreak--
I the brushstrokes, you the magic wand;
You are the golden rays glistening dew drops,
I the voice of dawn, you the birdsongs.

In my concert hall you’re the orchestra,
You are the piano-music set to our life song.
I’m just the guitar strings, you the gifted artist,
Lyrics of love you are, in my romantic ballad.

On avenue of life, you’re my road signs,
You’re my compass when I’m feeling lost;
You are the lighthouse guiding in dark
On my dreary nights you are the bright star.
