Languishing In Silence
In the still of the morning, before the sun has
shone her face,
Before the light reaches out and traces my familiar space,
Quietly I retreat, with meditative thoughts,
The gentle steady breath of our sleeping dog,
The murmur of appliances, running night and day,
Funny I don't notice, after the sun has pushed her way,
Nearing 6 a.m., quiet as can be, cherishing these moments
Grateful for the Sanctity.
