My Last Hour

My sister had a clean bill of health
  on her return from Egypt
took a turn for the worse,in three months
  from a cheerleading choreogragher

To a bed ridden, gaunt cancer patient
she fought and fought without a murmer
  until her fight did succomb
my mother, best friend and pillow of strength

We recieved a call from the hospice
a drastic change from the night before
 family called from miles around
in my view, poor lass held on

For us all to gather around her bedside
as she took her final straw like breath
 slipped away,out of pain
each leaning forward, our kisses goodbye.

Premium Member My obsession just to win, in Trump’s own words

My head is in a spin,
My obsession just to win,
I'm driven and I'm mad
All I smell is gushing blood.

I feel I'm in a surreal game
That shooting sort - so very lame,
Where targets pop-up all around,
Nothing ever out of bounds.

What's good for them is great for me,
I'll deftly flatten all I see,
From rabid lawyers to media hacks,
I relish all their wild attacks.

For unbridled as they are
They alone propel me far,
Every moment of every day
From their lips my name they say.

Isn't that just simply grand,
As for every blow they land
Folks just rally to my side
Ferral wokes unable to abide.

I'm a fighter - all see that,
Unlike Joe that doddering dud.
Yes I'm tired - who wouldn't be,
But now the end I clearly see.

With the White House in my grasp,
I doubt I'll even need to ask,
They'll plead with me to take the keys
Given Biden's on his knees.

So while my enemies do the dance,
The time is near for me to prance.
They'll squeal and holler with all their might,
With me cheerleading at the sight.

I'll seal this race and do it quick
By any means and every trick.
Count me out at your great peril,
Not great odds even for the Devil.

Watch What You Say To Me Watch Who You Talk To About Me

Watch what you say to me
Watch who you talk to about me
Got the ears of a wolf
What's that you said about me
Watch my tail feather
I think you need to refer that to yourself
You can take third digitus finger to you and the court system
You are a son of a pagan woman who prays on other peoples moolah
My investment that I made for me is none of social media or your fake cheerleading squads
concern
Watch what you say to me
Watch what you say to me
Because whatever you do to me
Is going back fire on you and burn you
And leave you with 3 degree burns
Good luck on trying to wipe your butt
Karma is
revenge is in process
So watch your back
No I don't stutter
I mean every word that I say
Watch what you say about me
Watch who you talk to about me
Give up on trying to get back with this
I don't need lazy man
I am that paid female with that 700 credit score
Get off mine
Get your own
Talking about it's over
But look like today your singing that same old tune
Baby Baby This Baby Baby I want to work it out
Sorry but don't need a man trying to ride for free
Yes it's me
The one who got sense than any other female that you every had a relationship with
Clown there is the door
No handouts
Like you did me once upon time ago
Payback is in process
You know me for never thinking like that
But today I might just have to start thinking like that

Our swim tonight

Inspired by... A romantic swim in the moonlight. A lovely scene in a show.

Our swim tonight
By Michelle Morris
12/12/2025

I love the way you look tonight
Here in the quiet moonlight
Memories of when we were seventeen
You are my love, my cheerleading team

I love the way the moon shines bright
And I just want to kiss you right
Make more memories forever and a day
For a love in our hearts, here to stay

I love this water, so still and warm
Our swim tonight is the perfect dawn
A brand new chapter of our love affair
Let's never forget our moments of care

I love the idea of our future together
We're strong and happy, built for forever
All the ups and downs, joy and sorrow
Makes it all sweeter for our tomorrows

I love you darling, I know you love me
Together forever, we'll always be
And when we're old and grey one day
We'll remember these times with happy faces

Premium Member This Year

This year my granddaughter played football.
The high school coach tried to recruit her.
She is debating now football or cheerleading.

This year I was assigned to two school buildings
Which was insane as school counselors
Are in a school to build relationships.

This year my dog began to sleep more.
Sophie Helen, what is going on?
Is nine so much older than ten then?

This year I wrote over a thousand poems.
And I stopped painting photos.
Because my house is filled to the brim with them.

This year has been wonderful in so many ways.
I have been blessed with good health
Following on the heels of really bad health.

I am looking forward to 2020.
Whatever comes, comes.
My enthusiasm is willing and my spirit is
Dancing toward the 2019 finish line.

Misplaced Maternal Instinct, Part I

I head an interesting thought
on the state of the world today,
about the wokeness, the PC,
and why we’re degrading this way,
That tied it to something that we
often celebrate quite a lot,
that would be maternal instinct,
the kind that most women have got,
that’s why we’re seeing such softness,
such growing degeneracy,
is that they’re placing this instinct
on the whole of society.

Now we all know that this instinct
has an important role to play,
who of us would still be alive
if women were not made this way?
Babies need lots of nurturing,
they always need to be kept safe,
and women with good instincts were
the ones who saw themselves replaced,
the ones whose descendants live on,
and would should be thankful for that,
so it seems strange, at first, to say
that such an instinct can be bad.

But then bring in feminism,
as we’re seen the last face decades,
telling women to go to work,
it’s more important to get paid.
And we’ve seen women do just that,
that is where the problem took off,
since women choosing to take jobs
doesn’t mean the instincts are lost.
You can’t ignore evolution,
and the nurture meant for a babe
gets displaced onto society,
we’ve seen this so much in our age.

Look at all of this woke nonsense,
blind cheerleading of ‘the oppressed.’
feminine instinct to protect
what they perceive as the smallest.
And if that virtue signaling
brings women a nice, moral buzz,
that’s like those ‘super-mother’ types,
who gain status from their ‘extra love.’
Look at the damn HR culture,
With its tone policing run rife,
like mothers lecturing young kids
not to say words that ‘aren’t nice.’
look at the cancel culture plague,
seems remarkably like grounding,
say something that mother won’t like,
you’re punished, they take all your things.
Look at the nonsense called ‘hate speech,’
the punishing of points-of-view…
the female urge to spare feelings,
and place emotion above truth.
Look at the cursed ‘nanny state,’
the safety obsession we see,
how much comes from the displaced urge
to protect a helpless baby?

CONCLUDES IN PART II.

Premium Member Choose that golden rule

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you
That's the golden rule, but is it true?
You see a world full of trouble and strife
What about a dark night, and a thief with a knife?

Do unto others as they do unto you
That's the revenge rule, in the bible too
They put it as "an eye for an eye"
You can believe that, still be a good guy.

My uncle believed in two eyes for an eye
He fought in World War One, saw many die
He showed me the holes that shells made in his arm
Was his attitude right, or does it cause harm?

Some people follow other rules, nuance they lack
If they don't like you, they go on attack
If you don't like them, they also get mad
and they'll find a way to do something bad.

Some may feel your happiness an outrage
no 'live and let live' no turning the page.
Envy and spite hidden but real
Don't ask them for empathy, don't make the appeal.

Dr. Laura, a talk show host, gave people advice
In the process she encountered people who weren't nice
She said "If people see you as having the joy they desire"
They'll turn others against you, ignite a dark fire.

She said that competitiveness is good if your dues you pay
But not the impulse to destroy people in your way
One mother wanted her daughter on the cheerleading squad
So she killed another child, not stopped by God.

Thomas Sowell said they if some resent your achievement
You may find yourself in sudden bereavement
Such jealousy is more deadly than that of wealth alone
If you rose from the bottom, some want you to sink like a stone.

So keep this in mind when you formulate a golden rule
Maybe make it silver, or tungsten, too much trust isn't cool.

Let's Hear It

Growing up a teen in the 60s
A Baby boomer baby I'm known
High school was like stepping into another world
Of fun sports to join, watch, and stir
Class spirit Homecoming football games
Proms with the big white mums glittering on chiffon dresses
Basketball, volleyball, track, and cheerleading
With pompoms in my hands, loud cheers, and chants
Summer swimming, surfing, and lying out on the beach
Getting that golden amber tan was always fun
Miniskirts, tight sweaters, scarfs, and boots
Sock hops parties, and vinyl records,
Bowling, and parking at the drive in theater
College turned things around
I looked at life different
Studying and working to fund my hobbies
My passion became my job a business that I dearly love
