I learned how to cheat,
because you always believed me
when we burned in the heat...
as I was lost in your beauty!
My smiles were lies,
gifts to cover them with cleverness,
but what is the price
a cheating man pays for his craftiness?
Nights without a woman's tenderness,
days without hearing her voice of gladness!
I took everything like a remorsless thief bound for cheats,
while another heart shared the same love you thought
was the only possession your faithful heart ever sought...
you miss all the smiles of my lies as your loneliness deepens.
My smiles were lies of an untrue lover showing
beautiful images of deception
but you fell for them without realizing
that in them there was no affection;
and today, remembering those those moments of exstacy,
nobody can persuade you from believing in my dishonesty!
Many people in life come and go,
Some you keep close to you,
Some people in life you never know
Some a small dose will do.
Some seem similar,
Some very different,
Some become familiar,
Some kept distant.
Only those you choose to keep close can hurt you,
They can seem loyal and then desert you.
Brothers and sisters from other mothers,
Cheating lovers,
even those that share your mother.
It’ll hurt when they hurt,
But rather than dwell
Walk on, live life,
and forget their hell.
Forgiveness can be given,
But it will never be the same,
So focus on living,
And create pride in your name.
She gave her word and I just believed,
was the best thing that happened to me,
but, before long, on camera I see
her sneaking with a man who lives up the street.
Probed her for truth, but, oh, she just lie,
never had a hint of guilt in her eyes,
how can someone feel that justified,
even showed her the tape, but she just denied.
I won’t take that,
bend of break that,
it’s my one fact,
I won’t take that.
One claimed she was on the cutting edge,
down for so many hot things in bed,
lots of strange notions came from her head,
the hot ones can be crazy, it has been said.
Soon started moaning, “It’s not enough.”
Wanted more partners, wanted it rough,
said is was all just, “New kinds of love,”
Keep you polycule, I’m not into that stuff.
I won’t take that,
bend of break that,
such a dark path,
I won’t take that.
Another said it wasn’t the time,
cared not a bit that it must be mine,
snuck out and got a process malign,
then just shrugged her shoulders, like it was fine.
Could not understand my protests loud,
defended murder like she was proud,
said my objections were not allowed,
so I said, “Don’t come back, girl, get the hell out.”
I won’t take that,
bend of break that,
such a cruel act,
I won’t take that.
I won’t take that,
tolerate that,
a soul she lacked,
I won’t take that.
1 Knocked to the Ground
There’s no bell, nor stars—
just bloody knees.
You haven’t thought of heaven or hell,
when you cursed the sneeze.
2 Ignoring the Obvious Cause
Using a whisk
to dust off the hole in your knees.
You’re a bigg’n
who straightens your back,
though your neck won’t
calibrate left, right or South.
3 Whoops
Why’d you fall on your whoopie
cushion? Tailbone thrashing
like a mermaid against the current.
Baleen curses - two-fisted.
4 Slowmo Recovery
No ambulance for your pride.
You scrutinize your shoes
for blubber, crap and scars.
5 Apex
The spreader was keen,
intelligent, even.
Theory of climbing
impeccable
but without horseshoes
and cheating
on your tippy-tippy toes
your nose meets
the grindstone of regret.
6 Watering the Grounds
The soil needs warm earth
and worms but they tend
to be off put by church.
Nothing learned…nothing gained.
7 Angels on High
Potluck’s not for you
but the scent of savory,
sweet and scrupulous
tantalizes.
8 Nest Egg
Wash yolk off your face.
Smile it’s sunny.
Tripping - tongue
says,”Oh my goodness.”
You chuckle
as you take a big bite
out of new life.

To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Eph 4:22-24 ESV
The ugly prison was dark and dank.
Solitary cells lined up on each side.
I paced up and down the corridor
Saw each prisoner his face hide.
I knew them all, for I put them there,
Uncle John who stole half my earnings,
My teacher who failed me just to spite me,
My neighbour reported me with warnings.
A writer who jealously always blocked me,
My lawyer whom I caught on me spying
A woman who sent me many insulting messages,
Even my cheating wife was there crying.
Where is this prison you might well ask?
Why it’s locked up within my heavy heart?
And the worst of it all, there’s no way out,
What could I do to erase all and my life restart?
Only one way to rid the heaviness of my heart.
To learn the true way to forgive all sins,
Truly forget all useless wishes of revenge
Then perhaps with the Lord’s help a new life begins.
Fiction
This is a verse, not a song,
Let's gaze on the face of Agamemnon,
For ten years, he had stayed away,
Finally, he arrived home one day,
Yes, away to Troy he'd roamed,
The warrior king made it home,
But, he had been playing away,
His Queenie had a bad hair day,
Her axe did have a double blade,
As in her spa, she made him lay,
She drugged his wine, a loving cup,
Then proceeded to chop him up!
Off with his feet, for roaming so far,
Queenie really messed up her spa,
Off with his cheating hands,
He brought home his ho's from foreign lands,
Off with his attachments, you can guess what that meant,
Shoved them in his mouth,
as his head went south,
"Feed him to the swine!
It's pig feeding time!"
She yelled at the serfs,
"That cheating dud got his desserts!"
Queenie was having a bad hair day,
Warrior king had been playing away,
But, Queenie had a toyboy anyway,
She always kept smiling,
Looked for the silver lining,
Queenie's wealth was a'piling,
She was a keeper,
Old king now a sleeper,
Queen kept the kids, gold and slaves,
She did get hers one day,
Yes, Queenie kept the lot,
Or was it all a plot?
Queenie's bad hair day,
Warrior king had been playing away,
This is verse, not a song,
Let's gaze at the face of Agamemnon!
There's a camera in my heart
That is stingy and wont part
With pictures of memories
Happy times of you and me
Daily smiles of romance
Never needing to enhance
The "focus" or make it brighter
Nights we'd take each other higher
With new flights of ecstasy
Another photo instantly
Added to my hearts collection
Colors of joyful sensation
I can look at when I'm down
Because you are not around
To keep this album of love growing
Not suspecting you'd be showing
Me pictures in real life
Of a cheating lying wife
The "lenses" inside my eyes
Can not "click" sway the ties
That are "fading out" this picture
Of a life of loneliness without her
The present dent is so disgusting and aggravating at times, so much so, that something has to change.
I can truly be honest and admit, I got a problem with this.
Yes, it is definitely time to get rid of this eyesore and draining present dent. Enough is enough! I’m done! I’m so sick and tired of looking at and hearing people talk about this present dent.
There has to be a way to fix this. This has been going on wayyy too long.
Well, finally, finally, finally I figured it out and did something about it.
But as for you, what do you think should happen to the present dent?
Yes, the present dent. “The Dent.” The dent that is in your life.
Truth be told, we all have “Dents.” Dents in our relationships, our finances, our health, our faith, our direction, on our job…
A dent can be from pressure, from a hit, from a mark made in the surface of something… Too much stress can cause a dent in your mood and attitude. Your confidence can be dented by negative words spoken. Your finances can take a hit due to a job loss, cheating can cause a dent in your trust… and so on and so forth.
If it’s becoming too much for you too, I’m here to tell you, do what I did and shift your focus. Don’t focus on the present dent. Look above all negativity and obstacles with a positive mindset and keep your eyes on what really matters. Positive results require positive thinking. Don’t let this dent distract you or continue to dampen you. It’s true, dents in your life can be fixed, they can bend you, but don’t let them break you.
You are strong, you are beautiful, you are so deserving to be blessed and happy.
Strengthen your faith, think positive, believe, be patient, embrace the process and watch the transformation.
As for me… I’m knocking my dents out slowly but surely.
back in my day
there was no technology
nothing like nowadays
the calculator was
considered cheating
in math class
in my day girls got hauled
into the principal's office
for wearing their skirts too short
we also had bullies and troublemakers
who started all the rumors
but thankfully we had no facebook
in my day essays were
neatly written in long hand
on lined paper ~ no computers
in my last year of highschool
I got a portable typewriter
I felt so grown up
I rather liked school it turned out
so I moved away to university
and lost touch with people I knew
it was before email and networking
years later I tried to reach out to a few but most girls
moved or got married and changed their names
feels like a hundred years ago ~

Card Pack Play
You should have told me sooner you didn't wish to stay
Not adding more years, as you continued to play
Women are your weakness they fall for your charm
Eyes opened wide I should have listened to bells alarm
To late did I realise your cheating done to me
Plans of being together you would always guarantee
Your lies and games played found, only to be caught
If I had known then I would have left you like a shot
Angry at your contempt and feeling such a fool
Challenged you directly the rows would ensue
Denials and your silence you believed would ebb away
But answers as to why I asked you every day
I'm done, won't be back, lost, gone, forever
Never to be trusted, no happy ever after
Your ego grew manipulated by your selfish ways
Your web of lies more complicated than a mensa maze
No love for you now felt, drowned deep within my tears
The woman I've become is stronger has no fear
Moving on was easy set mind into fifth gear
Out with friends, having fun, drinking ice cold beer
I heard you still played your cheating lying card
Faces of many, hidden within your show facade
you really are a coward, a many coloured chameleon
Way you style words you play talk to the women
Unknown to them they are your ensuing victims
Cast your charm, fall for you, move on is your system
My heart is healed, forever sealed, no more will be open
Head held high, walk on by, this woman wont be beaten
If I saw you in the street I would smile an say hello
But to me your truly a person I used to know
I will never return I do not seek you back
All are welcome to you I am free from your card pack
If you seek a return for me it will be denied
There is no going back to your created world of lies.
