Two rats can have over a million descendants
In eighteen months, talk about prolific
Don't know about all youse guys out there
But this guy finds that quite horrific

You'd produce enough gas for an atomic bomb
If you farted for 6 years and 9 months
Know a guy that could produce enough gas
For an atomic bomb by farting just once

Tigers have striped skin as well as striped fur
Now how damn interesting is that
A Ronald MacDonald once robbed Wendy's
I would guess he got his order fast

Tipping at Iceland is considered an insult
Sounds really civilized to me
The longest flight of a chicken is 13 seconds
It crash-landed and broke a knee

Ribbon worms eat themselves if they can't find food
Now that's pretty desperate to me
Guess they start at the bum and work their way up
Don't think I've ever felt THAT hungry

Bob Hope and Billy Joel were both once boxers
Now I don't mean the doggy type
Chained dogs are 3 times more likely to bite us
Guess they have a reason to gripe

Clocks made before 1660 had only an hour hand
The world didn't have seconds back then
A jiffy is the time it takes for light to travel
One centimeter in a vacuum, I'm overwhelmed

Mahatma Gandhi wrote for advice on diet and exercise
To strongman Charles Atlas, I kid you not
Whoopi Goldberg's real name is Caryn Johnson
Sure for most of us, Whoopi gets the nod

Who said "I’ve watched a lot of baseball on the radio"
Yup! Good old President Gerald Ford
Way back, people threw eggs at the bride and groom
A custom that today would be deplored

Premium Member A New Love Found

DEDICATED TO EVERY PERSON WHO QUESTIONED THEIR SELF WORTH BECAUSE SOMEONE THEY LOVED LEFT THEM

Love grabbed me by the throat with both hands
Choked away the doubt and hatred of broken bands
Kicked me in the gut and flung me to the floor
Stripped my ego and jolted my awareness at its core

Cleared the cobwebs that once clouded my vision
with strokes of a master nature painted my mission
An oil based one of a kind classic
My life written like a movie an epic

Love lives in me again
like a revelation amen

Beauty, glows from every centimeter that is me
hope hip hops in every stride as I walk briskly
Music walks to my beat now I hear it everywhere
and the bluest of skies high fives me bare

A new love found
a trust abound.

for the first time in since I don’t know when
my senses breathe the fresh view of now and then
Blessed by the mother of all that lives
Nature smiles on a union that always gives

I love what I see
Finally I love me!

Raw Emotion

I lie without consequence
A wasteless existence that stands between heaven and hell
Though I don’t believe in it.
I’ve lost my way with no way to be found
But in the dark of the night I look for a way home.

I lie without consequence
A wasteless existence between heaven and hell
I am afraid of being alone
Of standing with just my soul in its glanced reflection
Reaching for a hand that no one will grasp
I’ve looked in there eyes with promises, afraid to lose them, fearing to be abandoned and lied

I lie
And hate every centimeter of my being
Wishing every part of me would die.
I’ve feared me for far to long, God has no dealings with this soulless, passion.
Tears forever fall in the shadows of me, for I am alone
A weakened presence that dies for love, a constant wanting that will never be granted.

I lied
In efforts to rid the clutch of being rejected, I’ll do it before you try
Lied to keep afloat, a calling, a need that was never needed.
Lied to hold
Lied in fear
Lied to erase…me
But In the darkest part of my trepidation, I found a way back home
Home…. to me, a being I was once loved in raptures.

I no longer lie
But now I am alone
And that’s…okay

Premium Member vagabond -

       so slowly -

I have traveled this way before
crept along this route with deliberate intention
allowing myself the enjoyments that
each next measure brings
savoring the odyssey as if for the first time …
       that mindset -
allowing me the discovery around each bend
of sensations, new and inspiring
each twist and turn offering a new reveal
a perspective or feeling or taste
that my previous numberless journeys lacked
       how many roads -
do we travel in life?
some over-and-over, in haste
and those footsteps, retraced, so often taken for granted
the world bustling by our window
without notice or regard
       yet -
each time I make THIS sojourn
it reveals something fresh and wondrous
a tremor, a flavor, an aromatic scent, heavenly
feelings, sights, thoughts, even sounds, anew
that my previous courses missed
       but, oh my -
this adventure!
never again shall I take a centimeter of
this trek as a given
for it is the wandering that matters
oh, the destination holds wonders of its own
       but -
this sublime adventure is never to be hurried
for it is made on a vista, divine
a landscape of unequaled beauty and breadth
that unfolds before me in amazement and portent
the sugary softness and voluptuous indulgence ...

       inside - your thigh.

We Ignore Each Other With Art

We ignore each other like an art practiced for years,
even when we are a few centimeters away from touching,
we pretend that the air between us doesn't burn intense violet,
that this empty space is not full of raw electricity.
Our eyes meet and everything stops for a moment,
for a heartbeat too long compressed eternity,
then we both look away as if nothing happened,
as if we didn't just die and resurrect in a second.
Yet I catch you looking and I tell myself I imagined it,
then you catch me and I know you imagined nothing it's real,
you pass by me so close I feel your silence,
it caresses my skin with invisible fingers of rough velvet.
I remain motionless like ice but something in me moves,
something unravels melts like an underground river to the surface,
how long will we keep doing this—ignoring each other like masters,
because the wall between us no longer keeps me away now.
The wall pulls me toward you instead of pushing me away paradox,
in the way only you could pull me without touching,
we ignore each other like a perfected art but it burns hard,
harder than touch would burn if we allowed ourselves everything.
The air between us is thick like poisoned condensed honey,
each centimeter of distance is full of unspoken words,
our eyes collide and retreat like clashing stars,
and everything stops for a beat that contains universes.
We pretend we don't feel how silence screams louder,
how our ignoring is more intense than the embrace,
you pass by me and I feel how your absence touches me,
how your lack is fuller than fullness how the void is full.
I remain motionless but something in me dances collapses,
the wall we built brick by brick of ice,
no longer protects me from you—it pulls me like an inverse magnet,
in the way only you could destroy my empty soul.
We ignore each other like a religion practiced daily with rituals,
but our ignoring is more sacred than clear recognition,
how long will we be able to pretend we don't see each other,
that we don't feel how the air burns with violet and golden flames.

Worlds Within Worlds

Quick- open up your human hand-
a microbe-laden nasty world
is thriving there clandestinely!
Though most will die with sudsy wash-
not long before more take their place.

Within their unseen realm of space-
in their tight time tween life and death,
they eat, divide- to millions grow
and wait to migrate to new worlds-
through all the human hands you touch.

How many germs are on your hands?
It's fair to say a lot of them, particularly if you haven't washed your hands recently. Every time you touch an object or shake someone's hand, you are probably picking up bacteria and potentially viruses too. We're estimated to have around 1,500 bacteria living on each square centimeter of the skin on our hands. Google

Premium Member Uncle Nick Cousin Pete and Grandpa

They came over from the barn as quickly as they heard.
They were going to be stern. I laughed and said “absurd!”
Two backed down quickly, Uncle Nick and Cousin Peter.
My grandpa backed up and away, about two centimeter.

We came to tell you to stop your wild women ways.
We want you to be your utmost self, no more carousing days.
You need to settle down like your mother and the rest of the herd.
I threw back my head, laughing. “I will never be your kind of nerd!”

They huffed and they coughed, and they glared at me hard.
They forgot for a minute I take after my Daddy, Milard.
He heard the commotion and came up to give them a word.
Stop being so bossy, he told them. Your aggression is totally absurd.

I get my love of life from my dad, and they should know that by now.
They went back to the barn in a huff. Nick kicked over a sweet dairy cow.
Why do they do this? I asked Daddy, who rolled his eyes into his head.
They are from your mother’s side, he started to say but quickly shut up instead.

For mother was standing there listening to us hard with her ears.
She was the kind of wild thing that made those three bosses always appear.
They could not control me, she said to me, after I met your dad.
So I got it from both sides. I am big, brassy, bold, beautiful and bad!

Broken Face

Allow me to count this day
Already been paid
Covered christened and laid
Presented on a tray
Delicatessen sweet taste promenade
Beach side staircase
Grazed with escalades
Why trade
When it is finally
Right for me
Been popping bottles of Cristal bubbly sensibly
Fizzled fences draped curtains gold trimmed TV
Imaginary
Why not see beyond galaxies
Tragedies all I haven known
As a child now that I am grown
Will never beg buy gracefully own
Part of the legacy kingdom rightly centered throne
Alone
Will never be surrounded by an army
Gideon fought a battle with less than I did
Why kid
You thought I was going to bag down
Shhh backup came and knocked the fleet to the ground
No sound
No air no pressure
A length a time to you is given centimeter pressure
Why weather
A storm I do not have to chase
Words render skill yours tied with a shoe lace
Why take a fool for his gold
Fell too many of times listen while this story is told
News casted broadcasted all over the world
Smell like you ate haters leftover girl
Why whirlwind when truth is in my vein
My name has never been the same
But changed
To fit my situation
Am I mad because of the hating
Skating
All over the grounds
Just because I look young wisdom landed some how
Wow did that
Faced that time and time again
Just as they thought I fell Holified still got up again
Round 1 then 2 maybe three times it took
Guess I'll add another hater and even sign another book

Shared Empathy For Palestine

“Look carefully and see if there could possibly be pain like my pain, like the one bestowed by You upon me.” – Lamentations 1:12

I walk the width of 2000 pound bomb crater in the densely populated refugee camp, searching centimeter by centimeter for the pieces of inhumanity littering the ground, reminding me of the legionnaires of the fascist air force bombing Guernica brutally, wondering how Picasso would paint this tragedy?
Gaza, now the biggest open graveyard in the world, with the bombs breaking the record in Guinness book of record, guttering hospitals, bakeries, schools, and convoys of war refugees, after decades of oppression.
There are cries of the wounded under the rubble, with no way to reach them,
and the stench of death spreading to the distant shores, to the throne of God.
Into Gaza I go, to find hell and retrieve my conscience.
But, you hear the voices? They don't stop singing, over the abyss of war,
Palestine will be free.

Premium Member The Color of Her Eyes

i guess i shouldn't let the color of her eyes wake me in the night
but i miss her.
her voice sings to me in the shower i should listen to the rushing water
but i miss her.
when i laugh i hear her laugh with me, i shouldn’t
but i miss her.

i know now love isn't enough.
you can love each other with every centimeter of your make up
but realities will sometimes trump that passion

you fight for it, years if you have to
you just dance in the soiled water of the flood

but sometimes,

well like i said,
love isn't enough.

this isn't a sad story,
a feel sorry for me discourse,
the moments were real
they still live with me
she is a part of me
us is still in me.

i still smile when i think of her,
i guess i always will.
but sometimes, in the capture of a moon lit night
i also cry.
