Mammoth Drift

Taken sideways, swept as a web strung spider
Sand sugar legged staggered specimen lured by weightless
Drifters soon to be lifted by unruly tide's violent
Fears ditched for the squall enthrall of ocean fizzed caress

Bolstered by booming blue brew, cork floated
Swell surmounts without pattern or rationale, contankerous
Bobbed from below, five foot heads promoted
Bounced jack in boxes sprung from rolling realm rapturous

By tide's untimed tumult, sea steamed unite
Sapphire stew participants simmer, softening vegetables
Drawn to next wily wave, crest conquer delight
Drag of salt soaked slow motion moon cascade incredible

Roaring turquoise rise, crumb humans crafted
Into toys at mercy of lapis lazuli, control's essential revoke
Track formation, tremor with desirous laughter
Brought to cool commotion by compulsion utterly unspoke

Garnish My Grave

Rythmic vibrations announce your presence
Lain on my forest floor grave we string vision
Twigs produce laden pods with hidden houdinis
Never final spiral attaches leaving with giving

Listen to tidbits from beneath, decay's largess
Brittle as ripple's rise falls, influence is knitted
Ordain my grave with precious anise herb harvest
Tight packed tips pop tasty petals energetically

Keep confiding in me, vital as battle's bravery
Caress flowering faces which thrive beside us
Press your nose to cones bearing hairy havens
Straining stamen assure transient wasp respite

Blessed with increments, cartoon sun Tarragon
tires of shining, regards demise as sweet relief
Steadied by soil, I dream, free of days' distraction
Breathless ribs signal liberty selects peace

Expanse entrances limitations, opposites meld
Allowance transfers power, dominion widened
Tranquil spaces consecrate me, bolstered hopes held
Hungry dirt's coalesce is design demystified

Merry go round seasons negotiate masterful habitat
Marrow boosts accommodating limbs a century on
My eighth decade stumbled with health haphazard
Mighty Cedar Tree's grandour increases with duration

Permit yourself witness to our after life ability
Cedar's unseen feet reciprocate branches' drive
Pay tribute to tenacity as seeds drift dutifully
Leaves of a million siblings document triumph

Rich Man, Poor Man
By Franklin Price
12/29/2018

A rich man and a poor man
Met out on a walk one fine day.
Being as different, as different can be,
What would you think they might say?

The rich man knew of the poor man
For he worked for him at the mill
And bolstered his pay making moonshine
At a still hidden up on the hill

“What are you doing out walking?”
Said the rich man to his working poor
“Should be on the job, with your broom stick,
Sweeping the lint off the floor.”

The poor man was pulling a wagon,
Covered and filled up with booze.
“I just finished a batch on the hill top.
You may have any bottle you choose”

The rich man, to chase away demons,
Imbibed of some drink every chance.
Not wanting to cheapen his image
He pulled twenty bucks from his pants.

“Here my good man is some money.
I know what you make now at work.
If I took your home made now, for nothing,
I would feel very much like a jerk”

The booze was traded for Jackson
There was nothing more left to say
The rich man opened the Bell jar,
Had a swig and he went on his way

The county was dry where the mill was,
No place to buy booze in the 'hood.
The poor man would keep his employment
As long as his moonshine was good.

An old friend died today.
I lift my head and look back,
Down the long fabric of my past.
I remember us at a party –
We partied a lot in those
“Salad days” of our youth!

At one another’s homes
Babies, bolstered with pillows,
Slept on upstairs beds.
Good-natured competitions
Produced late night buffets.
The 20-40 Club – surely we’d
Never be more than 40!

What skits we put on!
The picnics and treasure hunts,
Singing in Musical Arts
Concerts at Troy Music Hall,
New Year’s Eve – a dinner-dance,
Then on ‘til dawn and
Bacon and eggs
At the all night diner.

In later years we kept in touch –
Calls, Christmas cards, rare visits -
Time always dropped away,
And we were back there yet!
Even now I only see Leona young -
Smiling that wonderful smile
That would light a room –
And singing, always singing!

Thoughts can be blurry and empty.
paper on an easel, a whirlpool on a sheet
letting emotions explode into poetry,
explores the realm of cryptical and mystery
Crafting verbal art saps one's inventiveness.

I wrapped my body with a tattered velarium.
My shades can't even pass the litmus trial.
I stand without ignominy.
I am the one who folded my halcyon tripod.

My soul is the painting on this easel.
without a brush or ink, an oil drawing of intrinsic
all sins are conveyed aloud in this triptych.
It is a work of inner gloom, a magnum opus.

Drawing by the moon on a quiet beach
A painter stencil is bolstered on a pedestal.
Sea whispers reverberate in the sky.
The cosmic shyness sound

In this bewildering blend of noises and spirits.
A winter tree's naked singing may be heard.
With shades of gray, it is jubilation.

In deep crenelated crimson,
Autumn arrives in regal robes.
Her boisterous blue burgundy
surging with violent carmine.

Autumn arrives in regal robes
carpeting the earth with fractured
parquet of mismatched, misshaped shards-
a luscious ramollescence.

Her boisterous blue burgundy
cape blusters with bolstered boldness
as she whips the wind to climax
and She reigns as queen for the day.

Surging with violent carmine,
capped rivers rage with Her breath
and rains fall relentlessly as
She settles in for the long night.

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards,
nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. Who is left?

We are all subjects of mankind—
so let’s be kind and let us be by love defined—I Am Anaya

All Around The World

So why is it they can’t just see that: Differences shouldn’t be hated
Popes change dogma continually, Leviticus Bible verse should be updated
The revelation comes too late, and yes, it is belated

Unrighteous we are, why torment gay men and women, everyone’s unclean
and so you have it, anything else is contrary to sound doctrine,
In a sense, if you look about at the lout, ordinary men are just as obscene

Heterosexuals have shown us just how perverted they too can be
Easy to be lured into a night of dishonorable passions, a themed orgy
Unashamed, receive you will a due penalty, and remember the trilogy

Too many homosexuals living all around the world today
We know the facts, it is hard to come out, and no one chooses to be gay,
Some find out at age ten, he made no choice, never has it worked that way

To have a hatred so strong isn’t natural, it seems its rather what you seek
What makes any sense at all is that being different doesn’t make you week
What labels a freak, but God made us misguided, different, and meek

A mother knows her son is gay
She watched that he had grown up in his flamboyant way
Not a random whim conjured up one day

A heterosexual’s testimony is clear:
A teacher’s council and kind patience bolstered Rob’s resolve
To overcome youthful woes and nightmarish troubles solve
His humanity may have saved Rob’s life. His memory he holds dear
But whenever the name Mister James arose
Other kids just called him q****

Whatever kind of group it is you’re in
Just because they are different from you, but both same to sin
No one here will win or lose, all will end. And if so be it, once more begin.

Incomprehensible Existential Conundrum Confronts Mine Consciousness Part I

Descendent of proto humans
dumbfounded, mystified, stupefied, et cetera
despite plethora of technological trappings,
whereby world wide web virtually linkedin
allowing, enabling, and providing
instantaneous electronic feedback,
I still experience dearth
of mental, psychological and social
meaningfulness amidst cerebral chaos
courtesy healthy mailer daemons

occupying sixty plus shades of gray matter
more valuable then any terrain
designated as Silicon Valley or Wall Street
constituting nexus of brain power,
where metaphysical thoughts proliferate
and ponder such basic thought
such as who art yours truly
what (I declare)
will constitute date with death
and where will corporeal flesh
and spirit separately journey?

Since time immemorial
millennium generations
happenstance bestowed *****sapiens
ability to become self aware
double edged figurative sword
allowing, enabling, providing...
forebears of yesteryear
to marvel at life, and
reckon with death,
which mixed blessing
wrestling with living and dying

also confronts man/womankind
during twenty first century
said inscrutable dilemma,
albeit reconciling mortality
linkedin with consciousness
heightened, tested, under_scored...
particularly at demise dearly departed
inadvertently affect
upon surviving family members
hijacking, offsetting, upending...

fracturing emotional composure
prompting immediate questions
regarding purposefulness living
nee, being born essentially to die
predestined to pass away
identical fate decreed upon
all animals and plants
bolstered by believing deity
foreordained every creature
past, present, and future,

yet most pronounceable afflicting
non denominational, non
religious, non sectarian
case in point Unitarian,
vis a vis visa versa secular humanists,
especially nonsensical poet wannabe
riddled with perplexity
about nature of being alive
wondering what explains
essence constituting individual fluke

finding meaning scuttling
across world wide web
hither and yon, to and fro
dumbfounded at futility
absolute zero adequate answers
(again, unless one subscribes
to codified doctrinal dogma
i.e. religion, faith, creed...)
I attest as garden variety primate
baffled, flummoxed, nonplussed...
