Succumbing to worldliness’ pleasures
flagrant in defying divine laws
egregious according to biblical perspective---
my flesh, plunging into materialism’s pool
drowned in the mire of carnality…
Bereft of truth’s wise counsel
wallowing in conceit’s delirium
claiming dominance over haughtiness’ crown---
my will-power braced upon grandeur-delusion
Languished in self-glory’s imprisonment…
Scripturally obtuse against holiness-paradigm
questioning, doubting, arguing
confused, bewildered, deceived---
my faith, attempting to vanquish religious enigmas
Leaned toward the skeptics’ angle…
Impoverished in terms of heavenly wealth
Falling short of God’s righteous glory
hungering for ransom’s payment---
my indigent soul, starving in sin-pawnshop
yielded to corruption-bankruptcy’s demand…
Shattered by guilt-lacerating woes
gripped with condescending mockery
ardently fighting transgression-surge pressure---
my heart, sensitively delicate to chastisements’ angst
besought Christ’s peace to mediate against my embattled senses...
Condemned guilty, heeding to hell’s fury
facing eternal wrath, devoid of peace and love
I loathed such verdict… yet the Saviour in His wondrous compassion---
quickened my spirit and wrought my virtuous awakening
hence, trusting Him, I yielded my wildness to abide in His presence…
Now, freed to optimize His gracious liberty
I'll serve my Master to Whom I consecrate* my life
ministering to others with jubilant care---
while exalting His name in grateful worship-bliss
midst triumphant faithful stewardship.
*Exodus 32:29 …Consecrate yourselves to day to the LORD, … that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.

Complex harmony
What matters is that some souls are loyal to the mind,
not falling into years and holding youth by image saint.
Echoes of wisdom by candle’s bright,
orchestrated shades between the gentle light.
Freedom of the noted speech in poetic rhyme,
knowing the love source as delicate humane.
Bearing off the longing searching riddle,
chosen sacred bride as ever constant middle.
Taken old crabbed mysteries into new perspective,
cutting strains beyond life’s connective.
Holding passion as strength of thought,
the bounty of blossom from light of night besought.
The firmament of changing peace and its multiple rights,
captured reflections through many lives lights.
Perplexed synchronicities in stories told,
the old in the new forever bold.
Torches of bewilderment raised by politics,
hushes for the exited lunatics.
Not seeing the picture of the text,
and inquiring the if possible next.
The solitary truth as implacable straight line realm,
the wandering horizon of the architected dream.
A livelong hour in a little story painted,
when the moon swam in full by compassion sainted.
The anxiety of that passionate youth,
as miracle of knowledge introduced.
Grow slowly exquisite spring blossoming dear,
the songs of the fairy bird so gently near.
Hearts of weary and wonder like the sea,
cleansing waters by love’s inheritance to be free.
Argh resolution between
self and eldest
dear daughter more remote,
now then locating
a left handed monkey wrench,
cuz she feels this papa
did deliberate smote
her upside the head, knocking
Eden Liat stone cold
in an abysmal trench
thus, this dada doth fear a mill
stone shaped albatross
around thy neck aye will tote,
where rotting bird
doth emit fetid oppressive stench
gloomily decry death asper,
paternal progeny blighted love
epitaph finis fate wrote.
Methinks (nee knows) marital infidelity
steep dividend warrant wrought
chances greater finding needle in haystack
versus pointless thought
exercise regarding deus ex machina sought
forgiveness ex post facto, rethought,
yet miracle needed, viz
twill require against overwrought
progeny's psyche mor'n
solo requiem Te Deum never sung,
hence no guarantee
father as overthought
against embarkation entailing,
nor divine chorus baptizing can nought
assuage besotted dada's flesh, handwrought
hence fiery eternal damnation
no gunsmoke match e'en gunfought
by Jesse James, no penitence
bequeathed only dreadnought
visa vis admitting how affair
kneaded joyus kindling brought
philandering husband discovered
emotional refuge (against spousal
epithet strewn expletive language,
whence mistress besought
similar sexual satisfaction,
and subsequent fallout an afterthought.
retrospective reflection stills nothing
more serious then slap on the wrist
while engaged (~ January 2010) with
nothing sinful 'bout peccadillo tryst
understandable wife got sorely pissed
on the sly behaviour the missus
blindsided, hence over
looked and missed
and figurative wedge
cleft asunder nearly kissed
our marriage goodbye
extra-marital romp illicit,
though we nearly came to fist
sta cuffs, where salty crude name calling
in conjunction with execrable
derogatory cussing contribution complicit.
Ours is not a friendship sired by accident.
and though the misplaced days
I enumerated as grains of sand,
Apart, we both were as sonar blips without detection,
But then from a heart's depth,
A letter, a call, an e-mail, a visit;
we were no longer as candles, detached, in low flame,
Time and circumstance had been abridged.
Our friendship, once again, has become a game
having no rules and without rhyme or reason;
Because a time of absent desire had turned to willingness,
A misplaced friendship was granted new life;
and because one besought,
Through God's Grace the love that exists between two families
was born.
We Love you S & R
My heart was beating, pleading
With love to never leave me
My heart was beating, pleading
Heaven first – she can see
The reason that I besought
With love to never leave me
It feels this dream was for naught
After the light went to dark
The reason that I besought
This joy was filled with such spark
Only my doubts were left out
After the light went to dark
Kindness - what it’s all about
Whispers of smiles singing loud
Only my doubts were left out
With love to silence the crowd
My heart was beating, pleading
Whispers of smiles singing loud
My heart was beating, pleading
I chose to run, but had I stayed, things would have been like Poetry Contest

She is not much outspoken this one
Ever quite mulling over what knows God
Her effect is she has one always second guessing
Never quite sure if you have the right desired vibe
If you don’t watch her body language she is easily cross
Her nature is intriguing while unsettling in equal measure
I pride myself on my perceptional capabilities yet me desire more
What makes her passionate for you can hardly fault her as uncaring
What makes her angry and what is it she hiding behind that ulterior look
Our people have a saying where the waters are calm the pool runs deep
I am unravelling her turning stones for there’s so much she holds from others
Should it be that I let her be unperturbed she will never leave her holed cocoon
She is a beautiful butterfly I pray not a moth drawn to the fiery light of a lantern
Only to suffer a fiery annihilation at the hands of the naked lantern flame so besought
What of me do I have the patience or do I snap and walk away hoping she’d but open up
Am I head over heels in love or falling over a cliff I am too a tad mysterious dear not easily read
Let me send you the North wind and harken to my voice you South wind go hastily to my lover say
Why all the trials beloved do’ open the doors that I might gain entry let the peoples rejoice in our love
So as it was the hills of Bashan and Sion sang with merry when my lover did accept me into her hands Bebi Carol Eeh Le mi Rimi leo me luv you.. you remind me of Cleopatra and his Ceasor love unceasing

Key Verse – 2Kings 13:4 And Jehoahaz besought the LORD, and the LORD hearkened unto him: for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.
HEART THAT BESEECHES THE LORD

I stand here, grateful to God for calling me to be a teacher
enabled to be a life-builder by His grace and love
blessed to help shape grand future with His might
privileged to lead toward enlightenment by His wisdom
upheld to meet educational needs thru His guidance!
I stand here, humbled upon receiving “Teachers’ Day” token
from pupils cheering in bliss
midst students with their satisfaction-approval
along learners showing thumbs-up signs
in a crowd of disciples clapping with jubilant mirth!
I stand here, triumphant while singing with my fellow instructors
co-labourers in the pursuit of assisting children
partners for bringing out the best from the youth
prayer-mates every time mercy is besought in nurturing minds and hearts
brethren offering support when wearied because of discipline-stress!
I stand here, appreciative as I commend my mentors
exemplars of genuine servant-leadership
role-models beyond reproach by their fervent faith and good testimony
paragons of excellence in terms of sacrifice and contentment
who walk their talk saying, “Follow me as I follow Christ*, the Master Teacher.”
*1Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps.

Happy Teachers’ Day to all teachers!
"Lord, grant Your divine healing..."
This is my spirit's plea
Now that I'm confronted with my Dad's groaning angst
While he writhes in pain, struggling to express himself
Here in the Intensive Care Unit which is his haven this Christmas season.
"Lord, your miraculous healing is needed..."
This is my soul's whining
Whenever I see my Dad's agonizing response
Toward seemingly endless needle pricks, catheter changes, suction insertions
As he strives, yet suffering, to seek relief.
"Lord, pour out your healing that's merciful..."
This is my constant prayer
Since my Dad's afflicting blood sugar count
Along unstable blood pressure rise
Oppresses him grievously midst laboured breathing.
"Lord, Your gracious healing* is besought..."
This is my humble cry
With faith in His power for my Dad's health-restoration
So as to recuperate from his stroke
Toward praise-filled thanksgiving and joyous homecoming.
*Luke 9:11 ... He (Jesus Christ) received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.
