HEART THAT BESEECHES THE LORD
Our heart beseeches the Lord for our faithfulness
Away from indolence and slothfulness
Toward service-effectiveness
Along His work’s zealousness.
Our heart beseeches the Lord for our commitment
Away from dissatisfaction and discontentment
Toward dedication-agreement
Along His kingdom’s advancement.
Our heart beseeches the Lord for our obedience
Away from rebelliousness and insurgence
Toward sacrifice-resurgence
Along His great commission’s fulfillment-diligence.
Our heart beseeches the Lord for our humility
Away from arrogance and self-pity
Toward dependence-security
Along His name’s majesty.
Our heart beseeches the Lord for our submission
Away from stubbornness and insubordination
Toward surrender-subjection
Along His honour’s magnification.
Our heart beseeches the Lord for our worship
Away from idolatry and world-friendship
Toward servant-leadership
Along His ministry’s partnership.
Our heart beseeches the Lord for our spiritual progress
Away from immaturity and deception’s address
Toward discipleship-fortress
Along His strength’s buttress.
