Where We Belong - a Collaboration - Part - 1

My lady of the night, you light my soul with Vampyre passion,
long I have walked alone from the delights of your Vampyre love.
Now, once more, the night lives with your embraces.
Gone now the melancholy song of my nights,
once more the night is alive with sensual promise,
I feel as if my heart and soul are home again,
holding you close, I know once more the joy of a beating heart.
My Kah Vah Teh, my lady of the night, sing now with me our song,
that song which ever joins us in love's sweet bliss.
The promise of our nights shall once again sing,
come into my arms again and may our night hearts sing in majesty,
let the night be alive with our love, I am again your Shadrach Hah ....

..... Sire, as I breathe this thin night air
And hear the songs upon the wind,
I beckon once more for you,
Your fingers upon my face
as your lips caress once more
The lines of silken skin that I hold bare
For you to take your fill .....

..... Come close to me this midnight, dark,
Enfold me in your arms,
so once more we may walk as one,
Into the aeons of immortal love.
I hear the songs of gentle love
and dance with you once more,
Come close to me, my dark desire,
let us dance again to the songs
that only immortal love can sing .....

..... Our harmonies of love sing into the night,
Are we but two silhouettes against the moon
or are we a fire of desire, emblazoned across night's landscape?
We are the desire of all love's passions,
from the core we join in primal passion as our fire grows.
We become an immortal flame,
a sensual dance of the night's longing.
Oh my beloved, what joy sublime,
caressing once more the temple of my lady of the night.
Your kisses fanning the flame of my complete passion,
lifting my desires to a spiritual plain.
In the night's embrace, together,
we are where we belong .....

..... Silver moon to guide us this night
And the essence of your being upon my lips...
My beloved! How complete are we in this moment!
Your pale skin glowing in this glorious night!
Raven dark your eyes as they fall upon me
And at this moment the universe is witness
Of the glory of a life, a love, immortal!
My vampire knight... I will behold you
Into infinity of immortal time and space!

"melliflous birds are still cooing in the forest of my amber dreams " (by poet)

a gift from my father - on the first day of college,
"Golden Treasury"...A book of poetry...
the first poem I read... "She Walks In Beauty".
I carried that book throughout my life, even when I stopped reading poems...
even when poetry wasn't the priority any more,
Instead I looked at recipe-books - how to improve my culinary skills,
and became almost a champion chef in a few months.
Wordsworth and Browning were far away from my thoughts,
Coleridge? Oh No! Porphyria's Lover, and Ancient Mariner...
did not exist in my world of reality!

how many glorious summers went by ~ how many frosty winters ~
Delicious food, excellent  company,
chasing after active children, stressing about job-opportunities,
exotic travels, grandiose entertainment ...
had time for every little trivial thing in the world...but no time for
the book my father imagined his daughter would embrace the most!

then one miraculous day...when even my father gradually forgot
the girl who used to blossom in the world of words, and poetry....
I found my precious friend collecting dust,
neglected, discarded, in the corner of a shelf..  couldn't believe it was waiting for me with a beating heart ~
each and every page came alive with a magical touch ~
still my name clearly visible, handwritten with my father's calligraphic dexterity !

almost shaking to spot my long-lost treasure, I cried!
overwhelmed with emotions, tears fell!
as if a candle burnt and melted.
every drop of tears brought back the lavender memories ~
of an exhilarating past... my passions, my yearnings,
tender dreams of lilac hues never attained, the abandoned path I was supposed to tread ...

a path strewn with lyrics and verses, ballads and
sonnets like blazing auburn leaves of autumn ~
now shockingly empty and despairingly barren.
the forgotten aspirations and never-met goals...the tremendous sense of loss,
of crushing heart-break, of torturous frustration,
all flooded in!

many lonely years have gone by!
melliflous birds are still cooing in the forest of my amber dreams
ultimately my first love has returned !

Scented Leaves

INSPIRED BY “SCENTED LEAVES” CONTEST SPONSPORED BY KIM RODRIGUES

Aromatic avenues with the scent of your perfume
Lingering on each leaf you grace with your presence
Those delicate feet treading the petalled pathways of his heart
Enticing a new spring in the Autumn of his life

Autumn

A cold bleak reminder of the rains that are still yet to fall
And yet, he sees the smile that your soul wears just for him
And the seeds are sown in the depths of his heart
A heart that he thought no longer beat
A heart that he no longer wanted to beat
Because a beating heart can bleed
Faster
Harder
Making him weak

He is a man

He cannot afford to be weak

He must be strong
He must prepare for torrential downpours
He must retain his shelter
His armour
He must not wear a smile for you

“He will not!” he tells himself.

Yet somehow those scented leaves make him forget himself
And it’s Spring again
And he dons a secret smile
You intoxicate his senses and he wants to indulge in you more
He needs you. Craves you.
He loves it
He hates it
He no longer knows what to feel

Trapped

His tortured pragmatic mind
Wrestling with a drunken heart
Wanting to be loved
Afraid of what will become of him
If love walks away

So, he aspires to become love
That way he gets to be the one to walk away
He will love you a little
And discard of you a lot
He will maintain control
Control of himself
Control of his fears
At least
That is what he thinks

YOU

With the look of adventure in your crystal blue eyes
And your aromatic fragrance of freedom
Wafting, as you inhabit all who inhale your inner beauty

It’s a scent that lingers

You are that scent
The smell of what could have been
He will forever wear it
Carry it in his heart
Or his mind –
Whichever wins at the end of each dreary day

Now Autumn is not just a reminder of death
Of life
It is a reminder of death
Of love

Still those aromatic avenues are filled with the scent of your perfume
Lingering on each leaf you once graced with your presence
Those indelicate feet trampling the putrid pathways of his hardened heart
Enticing a new harsher winter in the awful Autumn of his lonely life

Crime and Punishment

Not a day passes by, not
thinking about you,
believing in my love, which I
know is true.
Waiting for you, to come back,
with a lot of hopes, but no
regrets, which I lack.
I sit down crying, hurting
myself,
praying that you will realize, my
love, by yourself.
What did I do wrong, that you
left me?
Isn't there anything pure that
you see in me?
What happened, when you
hugged or kissed me?
What happened, when you
wanted to stay by me?
Was I not, a wall protecting you?
If not, then tell me, where I
screwed?
I can change, the tides of time,
even with blood, as I write this
in rhymes,
waiting, breathing, bleeding, for
only one day,
standing wide eyed, for a single
ray,
of hope, to see you return,
and give me a chance, to show
my concern,
for you, and only you, whom I
love,
ready to even battle, the gods
above,
with a power, to bring heaven
and hell as one,
for, the only one,
who is you, my heart,
without whom, my life is torn
apart.
Is this betrayal, or just a phase,
to watch me suffer, bleed and
phrase,
my pain, my blood, my inner
happiness,
that has turned me cold, to
numbness.
My tears have dried, crying for
your return,
as I have turned hollow, and
started to burn.
Think about, the good times we
had,
the love, the smiles and the
bond we shared.
There was not a single day,
when you did not call me,
only to hear the words, 'Love
you honey'.
Every day, and every night,
I hold on my phone, really tight,
waiting for a ring, or just a
message,
which was my beating heart,
and my life's passage.
What is it now, that you detest
in me,
that you chose, to just leave
me?
I am in despair, which I dont
show out,
for this is another battle, a war,
a bout,
that has brought this, sickness
in me,
awakening, the demon inside of
me.
Now I stand deadly, with rage,
transforming, even as I age.
But all through this, it does not
conquer me,
for there is something that lets
me be,
in a way, that you wanted me to
stay,
filled with love, and a question
that makes me pray,
oh god! ! Please bring her back,
to me, my love,
please dont punish me, with
your wrath from above,
and all through this.....I
continue, to ask this question
that would be,
dear, 'Why did you leave me? '

Until You Meet Again With Me
(with love to Barbara)
By Franklin Price
02/23/2022

On the evening when God took you, while we held you by the hand,
Your life on earth was over, was hard for me to understand.
Our daughter Dani was there with me, as you breathed you last goodbye
Sorrow, for us, filled the room. I wondered why it was not I.

The chaplain from the Hospice came and prayed before you passed
She left us in God's presence just before you breathed your last
Dani and I, the only ones, who were with you as you went.
God took you up to heaven, for your days on earth were spent

The Catholic priest came out to bless you, in our home, the night you died.
He came because I asked him. You were still Catholic deep inside.
Had not been to church for many years, you were gone, could not repent
The Lord blessed us, on that evening, through the man of God he sent.

You passed away on Tuesday. Dani stayed 'til Sunday morn.
Your love is always with me. You help me when I feel forlorn
He took the pain away from you. Took you to His place of rest,
And left me here to carry on, God knows what is the best.

Another Sabbath day went by and I stayed at home alone
I thought of going out to church. My beating heart not turned to stone.
Friends and family are in touch. They know I'm grieving still.
I know I'm not deserted, for desertion's not God's will.

The third Sunday morning after, remembering you, for who you were
I went out to the Catholic Church, tried hard not to cause a stir
After all, I am a Baptist, and though you taught me quite a lot
You were the Catholic, in our marriage, and my memory's not so hot.

I made it through the service, and as the priest came up the aisle,
I stopped him there, between the pews, and thanked with a smile.
I said that God and he had blessed us, on the night that you had died
In his vestments, there he hugged me, and he held me as I cried.

I felt that Christ was there, with me, on that day there in the church
And if only, I believed, He'd never leave me in a lurch.
I know you're now in heaven, and you're looking down to see
I'll do my best to follow Jesus, until you meet again with me.

I have been to other churches, every Sunday, since that day
I have been blessed in every one. For now, that's all I have to say.

Nowhere on land to be me- Being the prototype of mankind is hard. Maybe I'll return to the sea. Liken to the chicken nesting in the yard, laying eggs, is her job, some eggs she lay are brown, some she lays are white. Yet, the same on the inside
Because like me she's the prototype, I did my job, created you all Red n Yellow Black and White, Same on the inside are you all...

I was created in the image of him who has made all the world, Yet, man is the only ones - Whom over color wants to fight!... News flash, you all came from one seed. if I cut you open its red blood that you'll bleed - Your liver, heart, and Kidneys all look the same, just as a Chicks a chicken, a baby will become a man.

Some earthlings are not as good, and some are not as smart... but each inside of all of them is a beating heart. Some men are small - Some humans tall, some are plump while others; Have not much meat at all.

If God had wanted carbon copies he would have made you all the same- He did not make you different to cuss, kill, and maim, he only made you different so that each could represent his fame: Each a different piece of his artwork to glorify his name.

The ultimate Painter, the fishers of men, the big creator... the maker of man, the infinite mind, the all-seeing eye. The great I Am, the creator of all men. Liken to the chicken nesting in the yard, laying eggs, I am the prototype, some she lay is brown some are white. Yet, the same on the inside.

Unless you've been rejected a conscious spirit or soul, and you hurt my children. My creations are you still, but there are consequences for your actions. What do you think I made assortments for? So, with turned up noses the only claim to your fame is "you are white"...

So, if you decide you only want girls, or you only want boys, you only want red, because you don't like yellow, remember you don't get to have a choice in what's been decided. So, stop killing out of ignorance, or because of skin... ridiculous when you know damn well ... we are all the same within.

Again, like the chicken nesting in the yard, laying eggs is her job, some eggs she lay are brown, some eggs she lay are white. Yet, all the eggs she lay are all the same on the inside. So simple, nothing to figure out, stop killing for color, that's not what life's about.

Premium Member The Last Stand

THE LAST STAND

Where have all my people gone, the Navaho, Lakota, and the Sue,
Smothered beneath the white man's blanket,
Chocking for a breath of airs life's sustaining oxygen.
The beating heart of native drums, are stilled frozen,
In the middle of it's rhythmic thumping, no pulses echo,
Can be heard on the open plain.
The weeping women kneel on sacred ground, shedding
A river of bloods tears, burning a permanent scare across,
A baron landscape.
Death's black raven shields itself, under it's crimson soaked wing,
Against shames immoral injustice.
Greed's insatiable hunger for land and riches fuels lusts desire,
Behold exterminations holocaust of the native inhabitants,
Nothing remains alive except ignorance blackened shadow.
How much blood can mother earth be forced to drink before,
She drowns herself or spits up everything undigested,
With sheer disdain and hatreds malice intent.
On a black and white chess board the winners takes it all,
Strategies grand masters playing with living pawns.
Treaties written in vanishing ink, promises disappear in thin air,
 Revealing a liars sharpened tongue.
The odds have always been stacked against those believing in fairness.
A rogue tidal wave of humanity has wiped out a nation,
And it's culture within the blink of an eye.
Flights appendages are clipped on the dove of peace, leaving it
Unable to soar above it's own habitat.
Wreckage’s refugees stumble in the ruins after math,
Rapes victims of civilizations civilized,
Are left devoid of their heritages lineage and legacy.
Elders chieftains representatives of a great nation,
Smoke peace pipes in the white mans hunting lodge
In Washington.
As human beings are hauled like cattle's cargo,
Taken to reservations burial grounds.
Ancient ancestors lit up the heaven's vast expanse,
 By torches flame,
To guide the souls of the dead unto their great spiritual
 Plain beyond.
The pale horse gallops forward without a rider,
And the red people become a phantom tribe vanishing
 Upon the winds shifting tides.
Giving one last final tribal battle war cry,
Why my father but the great spirit answers not.
Behold America's legacy, a world trampled beneath
It's heavy iron fist, all in the name of progress or for the cause
Of Manifest destiny.

Before the Gates of Alahsar - 2nd Version - 1

"Before The Gates Of Alahsar,"
By,
Michael .P. Clarke.

Full Version.

Bardic style.

Chapter..........1..........Part..........1..........1.

Come now, my Lords and Ladies,
listen now to the tale I shall tell,
the ancient tale of the dreamland,
of Alahsar, I lay before you.
look now within your mind's eye,
look on the golden gates to peaceful shrine,
they stand in wonder,
before a city of joy and peace,
a most ancient jewel.
I, your Bard, stand before you,
my words, I am ready to sing,
my beating heart of truth,
it shall beat the tales cadence,
as my words, I do speak.
Oh, Alahsar, your dream forever sung,
I lay it forth, following ancient texts,
come now, my Lords and Ladies,
listen to the tale my heart shall tell.

Never, had there been dark, in Alahsar's jewelled kingdom,
the sky afire, with a golden glow, in a night of lightened twilight,
all night, this sun would lie low in the sky, a golden glory,
this light of love, ever touching the beating heart of Alahsar.
The sun did sparkle off golden pinnacles and minarets bejewelled,
the sun, kissed gold so gently, and golden light did live,
my Lords and Ladies, such a dazzling display of light effects,
forth did come the rainbows of dream's desire.

Upward, ran the virgin white, stone dwellings, of the city,
they did tower to such heights, they reached for the heart of Heaven,
open your minds to the vision, look upward, upward, ever upward,
atop the great city, a golden palace, how that glory did shine.
This was a golden beacon to all, that Alahsar did live,
the city of dream, in its golden coat, arrayed, it did sing dream's song,
from the golden gates below to the golden palace atop, peace and joy did reign,
Alahsar, sing dreams song in majesty.

On the first level, the dwellings of Alahsar's mighty armies,
of the most sumptuous furnishings, they were arrayed,
seem within your minds, soldiers dressed in such regal splendour,
those on duty, they walk proudly. from dwellings to the mighty parapet walls.
They all know nights of passion, in rooms of silken beauty,
primal passion, emitting sighs and screams into the night
communal wash areas were to the rear of these dwellings,
they were behind high walls, built into the rock itself.

Premium Member War On the Poor

They wage war on the poor
Selling their souls what for
But for gluttony and greed
Dissension is what they breed
Harmony and discord
A duality we can't afford
People die on the street
Chilled to the bone, no heat
No bread, no bed
So they commit suicide instead
And the system is so corrupt
A melting pot is ready to erupt
Boomers failed the youth
Doomers birthed who know the truth
16.07 is the living wage
But 7.25 has us locked in a cage
And we work hard to line their pockets
Yachts, mansions, pensions, and rockets
Racial tension is their weapon
So we don't collectively unify and step in
They say work hard and achieve American dreams
But the reality is not what it seems
Connections grant privilege to the rich like royalty
As they demand we stand for the flag and show loyalty
I'm tired of being a stepping stone and I'm not alone
And this is what we've been shown
Epstein didn't kill himself we know
Another death to protect those in power and another low
America grows darker by the hour
So in a moment of clarity
There is no peace and prosperity
This is a raw deal and we need a green new deal
Because I'm tired of being a spoke on the wheel
Illiteracy is on the rise and that's our demise
Because they can feed us their lies
They blame us and claim we have no ambition
But survival is the majority's mission
Stuck paycheck to paycheck until we're dead
And those who care get shot in the head
I beg you to put your hand on your chest
Against your beating heart are we doing our best
Laws against sleeping in the car, sleeping on the sidewalk
These don't fix the problem but we can't talk
Because they balk and say you should have done better
Anything to lick the boots of the debtor
But despite all of my rage I'm still just a rat in a cage
Soon to be a forgotten footnote, a faded page
And that wheel is going to keep turning
As American lives go up in flames we're burning
But that hatred is twisting deep inside
And revolution is what we need if I must confide
The system is built on a foundation of failure, it's broken
But our passion and fury has been awoken
For this is our watershed moment to stave off calamity
After discouraging decades of enmity
So if they must wage war on the poor
We'll wage war on a system we abhor
