Come hither, come thither, come nigh
   Don't dither, don't blither, don't sigh

Ask me how, ask me where, ask me why
Come hither, come thither, come nigh

Dance airily, dance merrily, dance spry
   Not warily, contrarily or sly

Come hither, come thither, come nigh
   Bedazzle, becharm, beautify

Do sparkle, do sizzle, do fly
Ask me how, ask me where, ask me why

Be gracious, vivacious, sagacious
   Not voracious, rapacious or salacious

Don't be judgmental, tempermental or ungentle
Come hither, come thither, come nigh

Don't shout, don't pout, don't cry
   Tread lightly, tread brightly, glorify

Come hither, come thither, come nigh
Ask me how, ask me where, ask me why

Premium Member A Dose of Humility

He beat upon his breast
As he fell to the ground
Mumbled words escaping
Heart's pain formed into sound

“Please…Forgive me, oh Lord
I am so full of sin
This wretched game of life
Alone…I cannot win

I’ve cheated; I’ve lusted
I’ve inflicted abuse
Dear God…I clearly see
To you…I’m of no use

“Forgive... God…oh, forgive…”
His beard soaked up his tears
As gut wrenching sob
Gave voice to all his fears

The “righteous” man just watched
His pride filling the place
“I thank God, heaven’s light
Is shining on MY face.

Lord, you know my good deeds
I help the poor needy
I gladly give my tithe
For Lord, I’m not greedy

Oh Lord, I’m not like him
That poor man on his knees
I’m glad I can stand tall
For I live YOU to please.”

On that sinner not “saint”
The good Lord’s blessing fell
He needed a Savior
To taste heaven not hell

The other felt holy
Justified in his eyes
But the Bible is clear
He was deluded with lies

A lesson comes to us
About the sin of pride
For those who are humble
Have a place by God’s side

Be gracious and giving
Remember your true place
It’s the humble of heart
Who will see God’s dear face.

Premium Member Living Wisely As a Mature Believer - Colossians 4: 1-6

Being wise as true servants of Christ
treating fellow bondservants being just and fair
remembering God above sees everything
so be kindly gracious always with godly care

Be faithful always in daily prayer
coming before God's mercy seat
always being thankful for God's grace
believing His love your eternal street

Intercede for those in real need
that God would open clearly His word
so opportunities for His message do come
for many hearts would be stirred

Paul here speaks from the prison cell
for having declared the mystery of Christ
making God's word known absolutely clear
that for man's sin Christ was sacrificed

Use the time wisely walking among all
speaking truth to every man with grace
so knowing how you answer everyone
being a believer of maturity in God's place

(Masters, treat your bondservants justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.
Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison— that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.
Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.)

Premium Member Sweet November

It is silence – It is grace
It is beauty and gentle thanks
It is joy and it is light – It is healing
With the promise of a smile

It is memories – whispering hope
It is mystery, precious prayers and praise
It is inspirational and it stirs the heart
Brings about change, wisdom
Revealing the glory of love’s exultation

It is serenity and faith – awakening
Feelings so alive, so startling
Glowing with the moon, sighing
Wonders so magnificent, inviting
Butterfly kisses, lovely wishes

It is laughter – it is heartwarming
It is a song, harmony so tender
It is music that grows deep within
Promising gladness, rejoicing abiding
Breathless sunrises, forever sighing

It is rainfall, dewdrops – moist
Words providing sincerity, genuine
Peace that colors the mind
In rays of lavender highs, amber
Glowing like the flavor of kindness

It is a moment, prepared by the heart
Who knows that November
Bids farewell to Autumn’s touch
Releasing the earth to the inaugural
Beginnings of flurries, icicles glimmering

It is alive – a fire inside
Reminding the soul why
Even Winter can be gracious
With its shadows and echoes
Its arrangements with cold weather

It is November – when I surrender
To the beckoning of frosty dawn
The detachment of the cold
The wintery, wearisome charms
Thanksgiving inspires the thoughts
To remember and to invite
Thanks for the many blessings we share

Blessings so pure and so rare
Blessings of love and sweet prayer
Blessings, bountiful and plenteous
Blessings like the many flavors
Love inspired by all the stars of heaven

Happy Thanksgiving this November
And every day - blessings – eternally, forever!

Premium Member Rebuke Me Not In Anger

Rebuke me not in anger,
Nor discipline in fury.
Be gracious unto me, O LORD,
I’m wasting here; please hurry!

My bones lament their troubles;
My soul is anxious too.
But you, O LORD - how long
Till I’m returned to you?

Save me for your splendid name,
Your staunch, unswerving love,
For death has no remembrance
From Sheol of You above.

I’m wearied from my moaning,
I flood my bed with tears.
My eyes are red because of grief;
I’m weak from all my fears.

Depart from me, you evil ones;
The LORD has heard my cries.
My supplications reach His ear,
To where He sits on high.

Stop Look Listen
                   (Based on Isaih 30: 18-21)

          Are you going through adversity
Struggling about money, love, family, addiction
The Bible says the Lord may give us the bread of adversity
             and the water of affliction
If He really loves us why would he allow this
            It seems such a contradiction
Yet Isaiah 30 says , In those times listen carefully with your ears
The voice of your Teacher, “ This is the way, walk in it”
I will show you mercy, do not fear
Throw away your idols and gold plated images
             Selfishness, money, prestige, fame
Even if you did nothing wrong
                     He will heal your pain
God hears your cry and wants to be gracious to you
So stop, look, and listen for your Teacher all your life through
