Always the same little hash joint.
For lunch, the identical dish -
in Kremzer's, on Mott and Delancey,
potatoes and yiddisher fish.
His real name was Julius Henry,
but "Groucho" is how he was known.
His whim was to lunch in the corner,
unsmiling, unnoticed, alone.
So in comes a true-born impresser,
a back-slapping man about town.
He's towing some Princeton professor,
and eyeballs the vaudeville clown.
Finagling faux introductions,
the forte of showbusiness sharks:
he'll astonish the ecrivain manque ...
"I'll get you an entree with Marx!"
He gives it the big how's-it-going,
the Princeton prick shuffles his feet.
But Groucho, unseeing, unknowing,
uncaring, continues to eat.
"This man wrote 'The Vanderbilts', damn it!"
(incipient panic attack).
Without looking up, answers Groucho,
"The Vanderbilts - did they write back?"
I diffidently conjure the sorrowful emerald entity
from the deepest depths of my elbow of despair.
I do not abhor her, but I also do not trust her.
Likewise, I rather revere and worship her.
She validated my grief when I was in the wailing keening stage.
Sapphire orbs transmogrify into lilting, lively, lovely butterflies.
Porcelain staunchness furthers her into an aloof position.
Astonish me, she whispers, in an ethereal, frightening way.
Or admonish me, she says a little too loudly. Then she laughs.
It is a maniacal laugh that frightens me.
I watch this amazingly mystical, magical creature evolve
and revolve during the crescent moon’s change of clothes.
There is a sense of wonder, yet, also a feeling of regret
Possibly remorse?
She admirably fills the corners of my grief state
There is a glimpse of enthusiasm, a quick interval.
I devote myself to the task of understanding
the sensitivity of her resolve and revolve.
For she has been to visit me many times.
And I have no doubt she will return.
The amnesia of you tries
to live in me...
Erase our splendid memories ...
I'm afraid to forget
those astonish moments ...
I realize that the happiness
i held one day I will not have
again ...
Life has betrayed us,
and I cry for your absence ...
I miss your laugh,
even the screams when
in disagreements ...
We parted without
farewell without
I love you, without
"we will meet again"...
I'd love having had known
you best...
I would love to have grown
with you ... stay by your side
forever ...
But we were not allowed.
Your presence
so fleeting still lives
in me and in this
unbalanced life... your
missing figure still
serves me as a guide ...!
I love watching documentaries of nature,
Full of enchanting momentous adventure,
But my favourite by far is the ocean,
As it beckons and teasingly invites us
To look at a world we could never
Imagine, serene, silent, secretive,
Spectacular, incredible, and daring,
In a magical way breathtakingly alluring,
My heart resides with the passionate,
Who proudly, and painstakingly
Dive and venture into oceans and
Waters unknown, allowing us to peep,
Into an azure Aqualand, insanely so deep,
Where incredible species of fish and
Outrageous phenomenal plant life,
Astonish and mesmerize human life,
Never to bid us farewell,
As stories spanning eras magically spell,
Bound us, invoke fantasies back to
The beginning of time when galaxies
Looked down and with infectious delight,
Smiled wisely upon our planet
With a knowing, futuristic magnetic,
Mischievousness, enjoying it’s
Confounding aesthetic
Layers of anonymity, of underwater history
Until finally one beautiful day,
Pandora’s box opens revealing to us our
Oceans mystery.
I marvel at knowledge collected,
Intensely reported and documented,
So please don't pollute our oceans so vast,
And promise to keep such, forever to last.
We started as friends,
you knew I had a man,
Trust for me was something foreign,
I won’t pretend,
but you stayed beside me,
told me you would never lie to me,
When all the drama,
started along with the mental trauma,
you was there to make me calmer,
you engulfed me like a warm sauna,
I need your loyalty, love me, hug me, show me
I need your loyalty, I only need you
to love me, Put no one above me,
just take me and hold me, just show me
I couldn’t stop my fall for you,
when I hit I would call to you,
made me feel safe and sound,
never imagined you’d mess around,
Reassured you took my darkness away,
vanquished fears kept my trust at bay,
love is affront jealousy injustice,
didn’t value what is speculative and corrupt,
precarious my love was as endless,
as the oceans in reality I was defenseless,
I told you, keep it direct and honest,
our happy home would astonish,
I need your loyalty, love me, hug me, show me
I need your loyalty, I only need you to love me,
Put no one above me, just take me,
and hold me, just show me
I only wanted to be cradled in your arms
and be close to you,
with strokes of sublime oratory,
of how our life was the perfect story,
the fight to keep “us” being mandatory,
do you understand this was our plan, damn
if you love me then show me,
baby come on only you know me,
our love’s perfect, you didn’t owe me,
you started treating me like your homey,
only you are for me,
I need you to love me slowly,
Remember what you meant to me,
please don’t ever forget me,

kiss me, bathe me, put your all into me,
He silences the screams of pain
From horrors fought by darkest thoughts
He whispers comfort through the rain
As storms obscure the peace and faith
He breathes inspirations I can’t contain
Sensations so amazing they sing praise
He comforts the heart who is fearful
With promises of joy, hope and strength
He pierces the darkness that is tearful
Assuring in hues of mercy and blessing
He brings a light of love that is cheerful
Abounding in courage and positivity
He baptizes the soul in feelings of grace
Awakening dreams in brilliant hues
He warms the spirit with a tender embrace
Dripping kindness across every thought
He stills all the worry and doubt in the face
Heartening, healing and uplifting dispositions
He gentles the storms and eases all cares
With His glorious love, compassion so alive
He raises the spirits with wonders He shares
Answering prayers with assurance so certain
He sends us miracles like angels unawares
Stirring up dreams that fill our hearts with bliss
He sings to the heart and soul, urging our praises
Arousing the darkest night with stars so ecstatic
He writes His story on our spirits, in words and phrases
Sending us His love on the legends that astonish
He paints His world in hues so beautiful it amazes
Coloring the earth in visions so abundant and radiant
He is my heavenly Father and I am His child
Without His glorious love, I wouldn’t know His Son
He went to the cross so that I could be reconciled
Made right with the One who brings me sweet peace
He is the way, the truth, the life…, the One who smiled
Inspiring me to feel the wonder of His overwhelming love!
Crannies in Time
Resting beneath a pile of silken scarves and soft kid gloves -
Hatboxes filled with old tweed caps, cuff links bearing long lost crests,
A leather box – a jewelry case – opened to reveal a ballerina’s spinning grace,
To release a mania of memories, popping up like popcorn, as if they waited
To jump out - surprise conspiring to astonish eyes of wonder;
Travelers in time, arms of welcome pointing to a portal for hearts returning
With startled souls among the murals painted on their walls in time indelible,
Revisit wrinkles in eternity where moments recline -
Retell events re-formed by memories cast in sterling,
Linked by silver circles showcasing milestones days, precocious pets,
Musicals with wishing wells, a lovers vow, frayed dancing shoes,
Milestone birthdays, skis for winter, umbrellas for a city clothed in rain,
Side by side with souvenirs, states with nicknames stamped on their backsides
Collections, a crowded patch of rambling flowers scampering up a garden wall
Poking through the tiny crannies left by minutes flying by in streamers flowing,
Daylight merging into starlight - midnight gliding past each dawn -
Captivating charms guarding sacred spaces where treasures abide
Now seen through cracks in time, amid the winds with hands of ice,
Hearts welcomed back to reflect in sanctuaries warm
With new eyes that once searched for ghosts of meaning –
Specters - understanding - come in focus.

Her smile is like the sunlight
Reflecting through the forest
Dancing with the leaves, across the hills
Whispering joyfully, kissing the stillness
With a kindness that is contagious
A kindness that the heart applauds
Kindness, an open door to the heart’s love
Her laughter is like the melodies
Angels playing sweet instruments
Softly, sweetly, soothing the spirit
With the echoes of enchanting songs
Gentle tunes, breathless wonder
Flowing across the silence with abiding
Peace, pouring out laughter, sincerity
Her joy is like the promise of grace
Raining down hope through the soul
Coloring the spirit in hues, vibrant and bold
Sensations so brilliant they astonish
Even the very wise and the strong, the powerful
Rays of a love too wonderful to describe
Love that is alive as the moon and the stars
Her embrace is like the soft touch of wind
Breathing its sighs across the hills,
Filling the heart with inspiration, visions
Pleasures so spontaneous and special
They feel like a silent prayer has been answered

The king of Babylon was named Nebuchadnezzar.
He ruled his great kingdom that was both wide and far.
Heralds went about and issued the king’s decree
that all the subjects pay homage to a new deity.
When the music sounds, everyone bow down to this idol of gold.
Nobody shall disobey the order. You are so told.
Worship this god of which there is nothing higher.
If not, you will be cast into the furnace and consumed by its fire.
To King Nebuchadnezzar came some unwelcome news:
Some Chaldeans informed the ruler of three defiant Jews.
These three representatives were ones the king would know.
Their names were Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego.
Nebuchadnezzar asked the three if the accusation was true.
Their reply was, “Our God is most powerful, and will deliver us from you.”
This reply instantly filled the monarch with rage.
The three men were to be burned alive at center stage.
The furnace would be seven times hotter than at usual times.
The king wanted the trio to pay dearly for their crimes.
The king saw four men in the flames who did not perish.
This was an unbelievable sight that certainly did astonish.
An angel of the Lord went through the fire to save the three.
None of them had any burns that anyone could see.
Nebuchadnezzar realized that the Lord’s power was true.
To the God of the Jews, total recognition was due.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were freed by the king.
They were given promotions after this incredible thing.

We love looking for these kinds.
Someone else's nimbly leaping.
When daydreaming or showing
Tap a single rhythmic flare
Nicely made body and flair.
Youth seduced by its own wit.
Dyed mind slips out puzzle kit.
Intense male moot chittering
Had ample scorn, tittering.
That formed to smelt it anxious.
Let them nark what they cautious.
Let them each do as they please.
None of them came to a cease.
Until they met in the past.
As though it were for the last.
I'm watching Housemates.
Enter, discuss, and debate.
I can just watch them in awe.
Calm mind has cost me sorrow.
Complete a mental process.
Coupled with one's hidden progress
A quiet wait for game-start.
Clue that thinking must be smart.
A circle of live persons.
Anticipating reactions
Tense reactions preset dancing
How to strain when enhancing?
Look for life's necessity,
Needs love and austerity.
Focus beings on the soul.
How to live arty role.
If we grasp eternity.
Time and eons disunity.
One didn't equal the other.
We crave life touch void over.
