What Is Love

Love is a kiss
A prelude to the dreams we hum
A postlude of what has become

Love is a wine
	Intoxicating heart and soul
Over the mind it gains control

Love is a song
	A melody to remember
	Forever a burning ember

Love is a light
	Dispelling darkness in the night
Keeping hope of morning in sight

Love is an ointment
	Soothing discomfort through the years
Healing our wounds, calming our fears

Love is a nourishment
A meal giving comfort and strength
	Encouragement for the day’s length

Love is a refreshment
	An oasis along the way
A cool drink at the end of day

Love is a Faith
Bearing hope in the worst of times
Always waiting to hear the chimes

Love is a Jewell
A dangling necklace of fine gold
Staying the same as it gets old

Love is a perfume
	A fragrance seeking our favor
	An aroma we can savor

Love is a curtain
	Protecting our secrets and pride
A shadow where we can confide

Love is a banquet
	An emotion to celebrate
	A good reason to Decorate

Love is a banner
	Appreciating our worth
	Expressing our value on earth

Love is a flower
A lily growing from the pond
	Beauty that expresses our bond

Love is a voice
A call to the places we roam
	An invitation to come home

Love is a guardian
Protecting us from things that spoil
Watching over the fruits of our toil

Love is a rock
In whose cleft we obtain refuge
Granting us strength for battles huge

Love is a covering
A quilt hand pieced with perfection
Stitched with peace, hope, and affection

Love is a garden
A soil where our lives can take root
	A fertile place producing fruit

Love is a spice
	Amending the ordinary
	Bringing taste to the contrary

Love is a tree
	A gentle breeze providing shade
A place for the stories we’ve made

Love is a seal
A room that captures and confines
A lock that holds us and refines

Love is a comfort
A shelter from the wind and cold
A blanket when sick and old

Premium Member PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO SEES US

January 5 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Genesis 16-18

Key Verse– Genesis 16:13 And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?

PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO SEES US

Praise be to God for seeing us in His:
Presence as the preserving Creator
Purpose as the protecting Saviour
Persistency as the perfecting Master

Genesis 16:1-11 Praise be to the Lord for hearing our affliction caused by
Burden, loaded with cares; backsliding, wayward midst sinfulness
Brokenness, feeling so guilty; barrenness, being restrained from fruit-bearing

Genesis 17:1-21 Praise be to the Almighty for enabling us to walk with Him according to:
Cause-He appeared to us.
Claim-He is with us.
Challenge-There is a need for us to be perfect.
Cost-He will multiply His exceeding grace unto us.
Covenant-He is our God forever.
Charge- He commands us to keep our contract with Him.
Cheer-He gives us an everlasting possession.

Genesis 18:14 Praise be to the Creator for responding to His question “Is anything too hard for the Lord?”
Obvious answer is “Of not not” since God’s schedule “at the time appointed” and “according to the time of life” is best.
Open assertion is “God always can” since His way is perfect.
Optimum affirmation is “God specializes in impossibilities” since His power is sovereign.

Genesis 18:33 Praise be to the Saviour for communing with us:
Appearing unto us in the plains of usual routine in the heat of the day,
assuring His favour, ascertaining His blessings, awakening us from doubts’ laughter, answering our queries, approving our choices, alerting us against bad motives, acknowledging us of our intercessions, allowing us to express our pleas, asking us to trust His heart, amending our wrong perspectives, attending to us with His mercy, addressing our needs and wants. Amen.

Premium Member Lord God, You Are My Worship Cause

July 22 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on Jeremiah 7-10

Key Verse – Jeremiah 7:2 Stand in the gate of the LORD'S house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY WORSHIP CAUSE

Lord God, You are my worship Cause, amending my ways
Thank You for guarding me as I trust You all of my days
And commit myself to walk along Your righteousness-rays
Amidst trials that bring delays.

Lord God, You are my worship Cause, answering my prayer and supplication
Thank You for providing for me as I come to Your throne of compassion
While offering myself with sacrifice-oblation
Amidst tests of persecution.

Lord God, You are my worship Cause, alerting my faith from threats of falling
Thank You for lifting me up as to You I keep on calling
While yielding myself to Your grace that’s unfailing
Amidst shame that causes guilty wailing.

Lord God, You are my worship Cause, admonishing my commitment
Thank You for upholding me as I choose for holiness-settlement
While presenting myself for Your establishment
Amidst vanities of worldly entanglement.

Lord God, You are my worship Cause, attending to my weariness
Thank You for cleansing me as I beg for Your forgiveness
While distancing myself from sin’s deceitfulness
Amidst temptations to stay in Your lovingkindness.

Lord God, You are my worship Cause, awaking my spirit by Your Word
Thank You for teaching me up as I learn from Your truth-record
While fastening myself to Your Spirit’s sword
Amidst falsities that stir discord.

Lord God, You are my worship Cause, alerting my service with Your power
Thank You for cheering me up as I draw nigh to Your prayer-tower
While planting myself in Your garden to be Your blooming flower
Amidst fruitlessness of arrogance-blower.

Bring Down the Curtain On This Stage

Bring down the curtain on this stage
to avoid shouts of dissent and rage:
favoritism is a terrible thought so appalling;
the worthiness of honor is to be deserving!

How perfidious and how cruel a city can be,
never amending itself and redeem its conscience,
never admitting it was the cause of all pain,
of all grief: soldiers burning towns down and raping women;
did their royalty to a vicious king bring them peace?
Many ships anchored in the harbor of a turbulent sea...
to invade a free land made up of people of goodwill,
who could stop soldiers that were ordered to pillage and kill?

Bring down the curtain on this stage
to avoid the shouts of dissent and rage;
favoritism is a terrible thought so appalling:
the worthiness of honor is to be deserving!

Turin lays beneath the Alps where Southerners rebels
were held in a huge prison of misery, cold and endless agony;
they knew they would die never seeing their adored land again!
Turin has a museum of horrors where skulls and faces
of the dead are displayed and the hurried passerby stares
and doesn't realize that human beings aren't objects of derision!

Turin, brutal Turin, can you wash
the guilt away and retain the bloody hands
of the crimes you committed stealing a treasure belonging
to people who earned it with the sweat
of their foreheads until the blaring sun went down?
Turin, cruel Turin shut down the museum of the horrors,
look deep down and earnestly ask
for forgiveness without stirring any doubt;
it's the only way to redeem yourself and not frown,
and finally, make peace with the South!

Bring down the curtain on this stage
to avoid the shouts of dissent and rage;
favoritism is a horrible thought so appalling:
the worthiness of honor is to be deserving!

Subdivisions

Spinning throughout this carticious cyclone and tattered by its storm?!

Standing; although within tricklings from fresh wounds yet still exposed

To be cast amid this subliminal subdivisions print and dyes, second act....

Entering stage left while exiting its right as the curtains slowly lower upon

Their intermissions enterprise; downsized, these voices that attend!?

Marquee mannequins now taking notes within their paper boats of, one side

White and another side black with a moonbeam rainbow; smiling as they

Cascade across the bright lights stage towards this rusted pot of gold....

Critique and review; plastered upon the front page of tomorrow mornings news

From a quarter and a dime unto a dollar twenty-five; overnight by those whom

Truly care; sitting upon their constitutional amendment rights and tapping

Into the heart of a society amid this hierarchy of which they serve....

Dinner and cocktails at nine beyound the blue collars dividing lines

Getting the things which you give when you get what, you do not need?!

Spinning throughout this carticious cyclone and tattered by its storm; standing

Although in pouring gashes from the slashes of still exposed within these

Carvings; aside the subliminal subdivisions cast and dyes, next act; entering

Stage right without exiting stage left and get in line as the marquee mannequins

Pass out new programs with one side wet and another side dry; red rainbows

Tapping into this critical hierarchies review; an overnights amending sensations....

Invitations to the banquet of, the handicapped in blind; these, what's and why's!?

I Know Somone Who Helped In Chruch For Many Years

I know someone, who helped in church, for many years.
She put in much time through her sweat and tears.

She was a big help in the ministry in all she tried.
Until the day that she needed help. Then she cried!

You see she had children she was raising at home.
There were many nights that she felt all alone.

No matter how many times she asked for prayer.
Not one came to help. No one seemed to care!

She got discouraged and wondered why she came.
Many of the people she talked to, seemed to “forget” her name.

She gave her heart and time, to lend a helping hand.
Upon her cries for help, no one seemed to understand.

She was a full time member, but quit attending.
She had a broken and hurt heart… That needed “amending.”

Not once did any one from church call to see how she was.
It didn’t seem like anyone cared for her… Just because…

The people she was in ministry with, didn’t give a thought.
They were so busy with their “Sunday routine.” And forgot!

Hurt and bewildered, this lady knew one thing to do.
She found a quiet place each night, to hear the words; “I love you!”

Jesus spoke these words of comfort, peace and grace!.
He came down and put her life on a solid place!

He healed the hurt and pain that others were “avoiding.”
And gave her his love and joy that she’s now enjoying!

Won’t you allow this same Jesus to restore what’s been lost?
He can do it for you! Think of his sacrifice on the cross!

Churches and people will always let you down!
There’s an abundant life in Jesus! Just waiting to be found!

My Consolation

I console my pain with words that mean nothing to the process of amending.

Heartbroken, in need of a spared token.
From the pages of the book of love.
I fell and in the aftermath I was greeted by nurses in scrubs.

Wise words can't weather the blizzard, I try to amend my once warm soul with fabrics of vain luxury.
Hoping these linens and satins will rid these chills abruptly.
All it does is dress me down in depression.
Until I minimally look good while still stressing.

While chasing fool's gold, I became buried in the mine shaft.
Neglecting emotions and ridding my problems with anatomical toxins, has become my craft.
I look to the sky for answers with blank expression.
The sharp dullness of my reality serves as a lesson.
I grow bitter with thoughts of my limited ceiling.
My emptiness upon my reflection in a pond is significantly revealing.
Taking steps to provide my conscience with healing.
But it's like I'm running in circles because I cannot rid the feeling.

Overwhelming sorrow and boulders of pain rested on each shoulder.
As the burdens of my world grow, it gets heavier and the world turns colder.
Feeling like a child soldier ripped from the hands of beloved bliss.
Forced to take up arms for battle with the demons that aim to put shackles on my wrists.

Sad to say, but I believe that this battle will end in defeat.
And so will the war.
The longer I fight, I lose sight of what I'm fighting for.

So this will be another irrelevant page from the book of consolation to my desolation.

Brush

I sit in front of myself,
Finding my way into my own eyes,
Searching for myself in my mirror,
Though I do not recognize this figure the light reflects,
I gaze past my trasparent face,
Looking for me,
I wipe invisible tears that never fell away,
Seeing the hidden scars appear,
Each contain a memory,
Revealing me,
Yet I paint make-up onto my body to suit society,
Showing what I desire to become,
I envy sypathy,
Since I know many have it worse,
My eyes remain dead,
I force them to enlighten,
Yet my bogus ways can’t even fool me,
I fear I am fake,
But isn’t everyone fake,
So would I be considered normal,
I don’t know,
Taking a deep breathe,
Tasting the air,
It is bitter, cold, dry, harsh, and judgemental,
I continue to stare at my mirror,
Hoping to find a piece of mind,
Feasibly an answer,
Expunging the stains on my bones,
Amending my facial expression,
Stealing an empathetic tone,
Craving joy,
Reenacting a ceased happiness,
But my kindness is often mistaken as weakness,
I can’t expect to be accepted in the world,
When I can’t even accept myself,
I fear love because I know it will never last,
I’ve seen what love can do,
I’m already dead in a living body so why would I want to die twice,
Some would say I have a belligerent life,
Or a dream life that has came into reality,
Others would argue differ,
Though it is not about what I have,
But what it can become,
Now I rise,
Place my TOOTHBRUSH aside,
Turn and walk in a slow motion,
As I stitch a smile onto my face from cheeck to cheeck.

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Amending My Ways

July 28 Scripture Meditations Based on Jeremiah 7-10

Key Verse – Jeremiah 7:3 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR AMENDING MY WAYS

Thank You for amending my ways according to Your molding
Toward holiness-upholding
To transform me from sinful bending
Truly keeping me within Your guarding.

Thank You for amending my ways according to Your perfecting
Toward heavenly pursuits’ directing
To teach me from worldly time-wasting
Truly training me within Your instructing.

Thank You for amending my ways according to Your refining
Toward faith-strengthening
To lead me from vain complaining
Truly working in me within Your planning.

Thank You for amending my ways according to Your affirming
Toward calling’s charge-performing
To move me from purposeless dreaming
Truly loving me within Your reforming.

Thank You for amending my ways according to Your making
Toward fulfillment-embarking
To build me up from character wrecking
Truly forming me within Your tasking.

Thank You for amending my ways according to Your doing
Toward Gospel seed-sowing
To enable me from empty plowing
Truly blessing me within Your going.

Thank You for amending my ways according to Your accomplishing
Toward soul-flourishing
To pull me from eternal perishing
Truly cleansing me within Your pardon of offense-washing.

Premium Member His Love

His love is alive, a fire on the inside,
Leading me through troubles and strife,
Giving me directions with Him as guide,
Letting me know all I need for this life.

His love is new each day, a prayer often prayed,
Teaching me to give of myself, the inner wealth,
Reminding me that I’m a living testimony, conveyed,
Reassuring me that I will always overcome stealth.

His love is an opportunity to become generous,
Leaving stinginess to reach toward true charity,
Realizing that giving from a heart to overgenerous,
Knowing that I’ve been blessed with a sincerity.

His love is the welcome home from angel’s songs,
Attracting my heart and soul to heaven’s gate,
Inviting me to praise from where my heart belongs,
Igniting the feelings inside that tell me He is great.

His love is the answer to so many of my prayers,
Whispers of faith setting out toward new paths,
Gracing my home with feelings felt with tears,
Amending my worries and anxieties from wraths.

His love is that second chance when I’ve been lost,
Gently telling me I can make it when I’ve been down,
Encouraging me to give it my all and not to exhaust,
Inspiring me to push forward toward that crown.

His love is the blessing that lasts throughout it all,
Breathing words of insight and inspirational joys,
Picking me back up when despair causes me to fall,
Energizing my spirit with the wonder of great poise.
