Red Line
There is a red line in the sand
they stand against it, hand in hand,
both face-to-face and toe toe-to-toe;
a grain that neither will forego.
It shifts, the sand, as winds do blow
but neither side will ever show
the kings and aces in their hand
blood has less value than the land.

THE LAST IN LINE
THE LAST IN LINE*
~~~~~~~~~~~
This poem was inspired by my favorite Ronnie James Dio song/lyrics, “The Last in Line.”
In the fading light of day,
will I find the shadows of my soul
dancing in the twilight,
or will the light reveal my truths,
as I sift through the ashes of my choices?
I pause, pondering
‘am I the architect of my
Along the Line
Snooze of peace reigned on a collage
of sacred impulse for serenity of shelter —
bower-girthed and soul-inundated —
but along the line, a stampede, peccant
and harlotic,
framed the sun.
The Bottom Line
Let’s admit it and get it out in the open
That happiness is overrated, over emphasized
And hyped to the detriment
Of basic sanity and balance.
But the bottom line
Is that freedom is what we really need
And what when we get
Makes happiness a pleasant impermanence.
Fine Semantical Line
Are you unwilling or are you lame?
I don't get hung up on a name.
I ask only "do or don't".
Screw the line 'tween "can't and won't".
The result comes out the same.
Hook, Line And Sinker
Broad in the beam
not much of a looker
this crusty rust-bucket
of nuts screws and bolts
is a crabby old hooker
as luck would have it
dolled up trolling for supper
at any port in a storm
she still gives good service
tho' down on her uppers
now showing her years
deep in the scuppers
yet still on the game
fishing by night for a living
not to
If I Still Cry Inside the Line
oh lord there are so many
mountains for me to climb
if i still cry inside the line
yet I’ve turned over
every stone in my mind
yet some things are hard to find
we shall never know this time
when there are circles in my mind
yes the world is sublime
but if I still cry inside the line
oh lord when will
One Line at a Time
Beneath a sky just brushed with gold,
Scott met a voice he used to hold—
Christina's laugh, a spark, a flame,
That time had dimmed but not untamed.
They talked as if the years had fled,
In verses spun from things unsaid.
Each word a thread, each smile a sign,
Two poets tracing back a line.
The coffee cooled, the hours flew,
Yet every
Standing in Line during the holidays
When the Language Merge**
I walked into Bobby Department Store and yelled, “Where are the Jamaicans and Barbadians?” This might sound a little strange to most people; however, it’s that time of year when all the languages and dialects merge, accompanied by the authentic accents from their respective places. Plus, there's always a bit of rudeness
The Mark of the Beast System is already being established on the earth Q and A part two
humanism but not all people in either party favor any human transformation.
Q What's the difference between trans-genderism and trans-humanism?
A The Democrates believe there are more than two genders other
A THIN LINE
A thin line splits good from evil
between grace and the disgrace
between being the apple of God's eye
or ab ally of the devil.
It’s not etched in stones or scrolls
but marked in choices we make
blurred by thoughts we justify
and truths we’re too afraid to face.
We dress our sins in silence
and wear our virtues out loud
forgetting that heaven
Following a Fence Line
fence’s formidable periphery
enclosed more than I could ever see
I walked it at eight, was still gone by three
the length of this fence has amazed Tim and me
Tim is a bull I discovered along the way
I wanted to ride him back, but he said “no way!”
