Premium MemberMy Cat, Muse

How lovely are his cheeks, so soft and plush
like fluffy clouds against a moonlit dream.
Graceful are his whiskers like a paintbrush,
tracing our ankles like a flowing stream.

As king of the jungle, his razor claws
subdue small creatures like a mighty sword.
Pouncing on enemies, with brawny paws,
warm blood and guts are his playful reward.

Shiny and watchful are his marble eyes,
and with perky ears he listens to me.
I ask a question. "Meow," he replies,
and lifts his chin in a meaningful plea.

Though shaped like a liger, he's very tame.
My cat is my Muse, and that is his name.

United States and Russia

My planned conversation with him had to die:
A man wanting to focus on his arrived pie,
For it actively loosening his tie,
His hands washing to disengage some dye…

Then saw I a tautened muscle of a face,
Who didn’t seem he would off race;
Rather, simply keep me at arm’s length
Or his lips seal as I waste verbal strength…

A hopeless, helpless hunger for more information
Continually lengthening a maddening duration.
”So, Russia is stronger than US;
No need now to US send our S O S ?”
A half-hour-old disquieting knowledge
Of Russia’s Weapon of Last Resort,
American teeth attacking and setting on edge
And The Congress just choosing to go to court!

Oh God! US militarily second to Russia…
I just could guess one thing it would usher…
But… But Tiger in most things dwarf A Lion,
And the Biggest Lion rather a Medium Tiger?
Yet Lions not Tigers Linked with God’s Zion
And a Lion sleeps with a Tigress for a Liger?

we are not the one opposed to strange love,
we live in a world of same sex weddings,
but a fish eagle’s romance with a dove,
would be a thing of tabloid news headings!
What about park bench with frog and a snake?
cuddling like teens with lips locked in a kiss?
you would perhaps say it is a mistake,
potential meal in romance with a hiss!
If animal kingdom adapted our rules,
You may see a fox in date with rabbit,
or mares trying to impress handsome mules,
or a zebra and lion co-habit!
would be politically incorrect,
to even denounce cross species romance,
species will emerge that will look suspect,
you can’t identity with single glance!
It is hard to say what lies in future,
for now animals follow the gene code,
so please let it be, not tutor nature,
or else a cobra may look like a toad!

to oppose human experiments at creating creatures that nature did not plan to create, causing much hardship to them in the name of science!

So Be It

So I’m left standing alone all alone in the cold
Waves of warmth are vivid and unclear
That forces the watery winks from a shattering glass
That echo deep within my heart
For I thought for once I will see you look back
Well so be it, I’m better off in the dark alone

Wait....

The darkness is my friend that I have never feared
The only fear was that I will be half way the devil when he speaks
All alone in a box with no breath or soul
But glimpse of mental will still liger as I have been perceived as a failure
And with ever bitter said about what was you
Just bring a self-deformity of shame and disgust
But so be it, ya’ll was just pretending and never liked me anyway

Ok.....

Well yeah so be it, for I have realize that I have no place in your life
And all along I was made to believe that I was actually something of value
Where as to you it was just a contract of monetary gain
And I had to suffer the loss of memories of you and I
But instead you instill the hate for what you have done and what you want me to do
Forcing me to go against everything I believe in just so you are of ease
So be it, like so be it I will just stand alone for my own peace.

Tiger Heiger

Tiger Heiger met a Meiger
Lynx of Tyx of woods of Eiger
                                                Branden mundane
                                             Handsome great Dane
Had his meal in plate of Liger

The Elusive Tiger

The mighty elusive tiger
To meet him I went to the National Reserve
I would even be happy with a liger
To get near it needed nerve

To meet him I went to the National Reserve
It was a trip of a lifetime
To get near it needed nerve
Then I met the male in his prime

It was a trip of a life time
His eyes did golden shine
Then I met the male in his prime
It was a dream come true of mine

His eyes did golden shine
His stride matched his pride
It was a dream come true of mine
On the jungle floor he seemed to glide

His stride matched his pride
I would even be happy with a liger
On the forest floor he seemed to glide
The mighty elusive tiger

The Zoo

To the zoo, to the zoo
Lets go to the zoo
To see a mighty tiger
Or perhaps a liger
Or even a gnu
The parrots and the doves
Everyone loves
The lion king
In his ring
And lionesses in their caves
The mighty grizzly bear
In his lair
The monkey on the swing
Doing his thing
Showing off his flair
Oh yes let’s go to the zoo
