My Cat, Muse

How lovely are his cheeks, so soft and plush like fluffy clouds against a moonlit dream. Graceful are his whiskers like a paintbrush, tracing our ankles like a flowing stream. As king of the jungle, his razor claws subdue small creatures like a mighty sword. Pouncing on enemies, with brawny paws, warm blood and guts are his playful reward. Shiny and watchful are his marble eyes, and with perky ears he listens to me. I ask a question. "Meow," he replies, and lifts his chin in a meaningful plea. Though shaped like a liger, he's very tame. My cat is my Muse, and that is his name. May 2022 Co-written with my son for school

Just delightful Juliet! And so wonderful that this is co-written with your son! What a gift you have given him. My grandchildren and I wrote a short story together - Summerland. That is an experience I will never forget - pure treasure for my heart! So many playful images flow through each line of this sonnet! Congratulations on to you and your son for you win! Blessings!

Wonderful words for an endearing feline. Cats make grand muses indeed. They have certainly inspired me. Congratulations to you + your son on a fine write. Cheers Brian

Thank you, Michelle. Our cat's a lover and a fighter. I absolutely adore him. My son said he got an A!
