The bed I wet when I was eight,
on my Scooby Doo custom sheets?
The waterbed I came to hate,
when the patches failed beneath my feet?
Maybe the one in my college dorm,
where I grew a foot as a sophomore?
This one now, you seem to say;
with you, for you, I need to stay.

Your lie in April
Ended our love
You wear my ring
But still you remain gone
Your gone
I’m lost
I wish we could go back
Before your lie in April

Kings and lords of powerful kingdoms
built castles with high towers on hills
to defend themselves from the invaders;
I've built no castles because my defender is God...
I've no need to build a fortress if He stands by me!
My riches lie in words and they praise the merciful Father
of compassion who protects anybody without an armor;
I seek Him not only in joy but in grief as well:
He's the river of living water that fills up my well!
Rich people guard their gold constantly and agitating
they toss in their turbulent sleep, I go to sleep peacefully
uttering the same childhood prayer when angels sang joyfully;
even now, unafraid of hose murky shadows: I hear their song!
My riches lie in words and they declare a faith with a yielding sword;
is a person defined by wealth or by the virtues he possesses inside?
Any treasure is sought by thieves although it is hidden and guarded!
If vanity is foolishness, shouldn't we pursue the essential things in life?

Love freezes like the ice
As we ponder our thoughts of whom is telling the lie
We ask the frozen truth as if it still exists in our love
As we remain together with knowing someone could be the warm lie
Love frozen as if it was from the beginning of us
As love has been laid by a lie
As we pretend all is just fine
The truth is covered by the fire but it remains frozen as the lie builds the fire
As love is frozen deep inside the heart of thousands of lies
We remain as if we tell the truth

our words are of a theater
and they don't tell anything
to the angels - nor the sky-blue
nor the soul ocean
nor the eternal fire
just a lie in Paris
some desires that disturb

Broken hearts lie in your wake
From the conquests that you make
From the promises you fake
Broken hearts lie in your wake
Broken love lies at your feet
You entice with tasty treat
Make impossible retreat
Broken love lies at your feet
Broken needs lie at your door
Faces of those wanting more
Those who thought love was in store
Broken needs lie at your door
Broken dreams lie in your hand
Your love trickled through like sand
Every wish seemed noble, grand
Broken dreams lie in your hand
Forgiveness anoints your head
For parts of you that lie dead
For your twisted heart has bled
Forgiveness anoints your head

I close my eyes
to the sweet serenity of rain's passage;
bare my face to the heavens
as the wispy travelers of the sky
unleash their torrents upon me.
The wind the storm brings with it,
tailored to sweep me away;
to bless me with those
drops of water sent to earth –
baptise me in the nectar of the firmament.
No finer dream could I ask for,
than one as ephemeral and as majestic
as the reality of laughing in the rain –
no truer testament to my soul
might I ever find.
I search, evermore, for the pairing;
for that one who will stride with me
through sheets of driving rain,
and want simply to dance –
for whoever she may be, she embodies heaven.
But even should I never find her,
may I also never despair –
for I have already met my maiden fair.
She draws breath from the clouds
and greets me with a smile on my face.

A saint in life you have hardly been,
so don't go foraging through my sins.
There are worse things I could have done.
There are a few, I should have shunned.
Yet, I have stared my skeletons in the eye.
Came through it with my head held high.
Regrets? Of course, I have a few.
But nothing that has dimmed the view,
of the life that I have led,
I am at peace, upon my bed.

I am sleeping
Though quietly
Without them knowing
I am awake
So much need for resting
As Mother's need to do
A lie in
Is an alien word
In the vocabulary of a Mum
And here yet allowed
To all the sleep I can grasp
The laughter of you both comes through
I can smell the toast being made
And wonder
Should I get up and remind you
We have run out of jam
To try the peanut butter
But know I should leave you be
But minutes later
I grab my dressing gown
To see you both laughing
As I say
There's homemade bramble jam
Forget the lie in, is there some for me!!!!

(This is a fictional poem)
You killed and cooked your son's pet bunny.
Now you laugh but it's not funny.
It's wrong to kill a kid's pet.
When you see him cry, it will be something that you'll regret.
Your son loved that rabbit, it was his pride and joy.
I feel sorry for him because he's going to be a sad little boy.
You want me to tell him so that you won't have to see him have a fit.
Hell no! You made your bed, now you can lie in it.
