Pining Heart - Sijo Trio

Pining away into the cosmic dust everyday
Faster than the second hand flies across the face of the moon
Changing its course in an elipse of untold counting.

Here lies the one that got nowhere with no one on the earth,
The burst of flames made the way that told its ending would be soon
Amongst the ashes of the forgotten teardrops dried crust.

Where Pluto goes comes the dawn of lifetimes on the earthly planes,
Two hundred forty eight earth years to be exactly right on time
For the birth death cycles of many hearts including mine.

Sarangpabo Korean Love Fool for You

Sarangpabo – Korean Love Fool for You

When I first saw you
In my dreams.

You were the most beautiful woman
In the world to me
And still are.

When you looked at me
With love blazing
From your dark brown
Goo-goo eyes.

sparks flew from heart to heart
(????ishimchomshim)

You hynotized, mesmerized me
Your love mojo working overtime
Turning me into nothing but
A ?? ??Sarang pabo (love fool).

Eight years later
You walked off that bus
Into my life,

Becoming
 my wife,
My soul mate.

And yes,
I am still
 your ?? ??Sarang pabo.

And will remain under
Your love spell
Until the day I die.

walking in the Rain with My Korean Spouse

Korean Rainy Night of Love

When I first met my love
My Korean bride in 1982.

We would go for long walks
Often ending with dinner.

After a romantic walk
In the rained
Soaked streets.

As we sat down
At the restaurant
Enjoying a dinner date.

We looked at the menu
Under the ruby red lights

Of the pub.

And fell in love
Every moment
Looking at each other.

With love blazing
From our eyes.
Sparks flew from heart to heart.

It was love
At first sight

Forging a deep
Lasting emotional connections.

As we fell deeply
Under each other’s love spell.

The mojo clearly
 Working overtime
As Cupid’s arrow struck home.

During the course
Of the magical evening.

first Draft

I love K food
I love the taste
I love the fragrance
I love the smells
I love the texture
I love the feel
I love how it looks

Korean food is somewhat like
Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Thai
With some American influences as well
But it is also unique
Distinctive and delicious

The fragrance of Korean food
Is what draws me in
The aroma of garlic, ginger, sesame oil
Soy sauce, red pepper paste, vinegar, sugar
And other spices and herbs
That creates a symphony of scents
That stimulates My appetite
And make My mouth water

Walking Along the Korean Winter Beach

Walking along the winter
 Korean beach,
With the love of my life
By my side,

She looks at me
With red hot love
Flames shooting
From her black eyes,

Melting away my heart
Driving out the cold
of the winter beach.

50 Years-Korean War

Published by Poetry Explosion of PA

50 Years-Korean War

Dad, you were one of the foot soldiers,
		When the Korean War began,
You were among the many to fight
		In this foreign land,

		You went bravely into battle,
Because our country told you to go,
		You didn’t ask any questions
You just went to fight the foe,

		North Korea was Communist,
		South Korea was not,
		The country had been split
		After World War II,
		Now American boys were fighting
		On Korean soil,
The South Koreans needed help from
		The Red, White and Blue

		Dad, you were a hero,
		You served our country well,
		Now after 50 years
You finally were able to tell,
		The story of your war
		And the misery you saw,
The Korean War had been forgotten
		But now at long last,
		It will be remembered,
As an important part of our past.

		Love always

		Celine Rose Mariotti

Korean Princess

There was a boy
Yes and he loved a girl
Just like the moment
It all was a whirl

He thought her so pretty
Perfect you see
But just like all endings
There’s a story

Was it love at first sight?
Some might do say
But well in the hours
Soon closes day

The moon was rising
And stars did shine
But sleep o sleep
The poor princess whines

So he scooped her up
And took her in tight
Almost together
Every night

A smile a cheer
Till the days seemed shorter
My o my
Did they want them longer

But this is the part
That you must look
It wasn’t this story
That made a book

In a cold December
On a colder day
There was a problem
That came this way

As much as they loved
They knew from the start
There would be a moment
Where they’d have to part

So they laughed they loved
But all is not true
But what really is
Is I’ll always love you

Scent of a Korean Tea

See this not as a flattery
Thou, we both know that
We met, only, yesterday
But truth is I am missing
You, every night and day

You and only you
I think of no other, as
I spell out
These words of mine
My arts, from the heart

You told me
To gaze the stars
Whilst I begged you
To ask the birds
How to fly

I remember that night
It’s something, I’ll not forget
The scent of a Korean tea
Brewed, delicately, with love
To sanctify me

It was already two a. m. when I
Walked home, from your place
Guided by the sleepy moon
I found out, we passionately speak
Nature’s own language
