C’est derrière moi

j’aurais pu
être plus gentille
possiblement
j’aurais pu
réagir avec plus de délicatesse

j’aurais pu
possiblement
fléchir à tes caprices
être plus sympathique
j’aurais pu
j’aurais dû
peut-être

mais quelle espèce d’ami as-tu été
quand tu t’amusais à tordre tout
tu interprétais tout croche
mes mots mes regards mes opinions

aucune chance de m’expliquer
bien au contraire si froid
tout noir ou blanc sans compromis
le dialogue inexistant
la porte fermée à toute discussion

juge et jury
grossier et vulgaire
tout simplement
sec et superficiel
rigide et arrogant
rien de moins qu’un abruti

vraiment
j’ai de moins en moins de temps
pour les gens artificiels

Translated from my poem BURNT BRIDGES

AP: Honorable Mention 2022

Blood Dosn'T Make Family

Have you ever met somebody
That you can go to when you're angry
Sad,depressed or even lonely
Who will hold you in their arms
Like a mother holding her baby

They're not even related to you
They don't care what you've been through
They never juge you
All they ever do is help you

They would give you the shirt off their back
If they needed too
They would drop their plans in an instant
If you needed them

They would miss your presence
If you were absent
They would never hold it against you
If you were distant

All they would ever do is be there for you
Care for you, listen to you and help you
When no one else seems to give a dam
You know they got you

Those people are your family
Don't you ever forget that
Don't you ever take that for granted
Friends like that only come around once in a lifetime

Remember blood dosn't make family

Nothing

some how im the one to blame
i guess i hurt myself for fame
i said what you wanted to hear
but only said out of fear
but how can you sit there and juge me
and tell me what i could be
try to act like you know how i felt
when i was whipped by the belt
the cutting releases the stress
tho it can be a mess
so here i sit wishin my wrist were bleeding
to stop the pain from the beating
but just when everyone was about to give in
and i was alone counting my sins
you showed up into my life
forced me to put down the knife
something no one tried to do
who know that id be you
to show me the light
scared at frist because its so bright
now i have this second chance
but now life is hared to balance
i think of goin back to my old ways
but whats the point anyways
i have you to work for
and theres nothing i want more
