Premium MemberWatchers and Doers

The watchers sit around watching the doers do!
Who does that apply to, could it be you?
Are you a watcher or a doer, which one applies?
Be honest with yourself, without the lies.

Doers do what the watchers cannot
But without watchers the doers might not.
Is it that the doers need watchers, might that be the fact?
That the watchers and doers need to interact?

Maybe the watchers get the bad press,
Maybe the doers are there to impress,
But surely the doers are the ones that do
And the watchers don’t, that has to be true.

I’m not sure I’m a doer, maybe I am
Hopefully I’m not a watcher but if I am, damn!
A doer is surely where it’s at, don’t you think?
But if I’m a watcher, my armour has a chink!

Be a doer and not a watcher because without a doubt
Being a doer gives you far greater clout
But if your a watcher, you must contemplate
Becoming a doer before it’s too late!!

N. B. This poem was inspired by a line delivered by Jane Fonda, in the film ‘barefoot in the park’, when she referred to her husband, played by Robert Redford , as a watcher - ‘there are watchers in this world and there are doers and the watchers sit around watching the doers do!’

Shut Your Mouth Jane Fonda Said With Love

what the!
did you say
we the people
are living
in a bad new age

we can no longer
live in a melodramatic
irredeemable way!

oblivious to
what, we do
and how it will
hurt the children
of today

you say
we the community
need to act
in a uncivilized way
clean up this
right away

and do all we can
on this very day

cut down on
things that cause
environment toxic waste

shout no more
crude oil spills
in the river and lakes

and not to live
with plastics
severed up
on our family's
dinner plates

no! you didn't,
just
try and save the World

by getting manhandle
by every cop in the world

whats that you say
its time to
get up and march
its another

fu*k with the
man Friday

Ok! lets do it your way...

Jane Fonda

Jane Fonda still likes to exercise and stretch,
so throws the odd chew toy and tells her dog to go fetch.
She remembers fondly those famous workout videos,
even if now she can’t always reach her own toes.

1981 was a year I’ll always remember
The movie “On Golden Pond” debuted
I saw it on the big screen
It was nice nothing special
Right up until that horrific scene
The one that changed our lives forever
My jaw suddenly dropped
Instantly realizing its significance
The camera ever so slowly zoomed in
From ever so far and ever so deviously
Closer and Closer
On Jane Fonda in her mid-forties
Sporting a skimpy bikini
Revolutionizing expectations forever
Life as we knew it ended that day
Ever since then
Women have been heard muttering
Across the land
See what you did, Jane Fonda

Naked and Alone Starring Jane Fonda

Naked alone my teeth are sinking in the bone
The ship is sinking all are in fear
I do, let's jump; overboard
Naked clotheless the chocolates are in the sea
Man overboard, Set the sails and let's jump ship
Naked and ready to go
Jane Fonda Knows what to do
Jane fonda Knows everything
She is life itself and i'm the chocolate beneath her teeth
Set sail and lets go ho ho ho

Countrymen's Lament

johnny depp said america was a broken country
then apologized
jane fonda took a rebel stand against the vietnam war
then apologized

love means never having to say your sorry
I love my country

we live in a tent under kerosene lit moonlights
with the jowls of hot-wired society fuming across
grime bleeding starlit rivers

oh had it not been for cotton fields laying flower plucked beds at our wooden doorstep

walt whitman said mexico must be thorougly chastised
america knows how to crush and expand
he was unapologetic
henry david thoreau fumed behind bars

rosebuds and curlicues
leaves of grass supernatural hues
spectral dynamics

even slaves can eat a slice of supernatural poetry

Spreading

As I sit here stretching to touch my toes
I’m amazed to see how my body grows
As years pass by my height reduces
No longer producing needed juices!

My body has clumped and can no longer bend
I used to possess a great, firm, rear-end
I kneed and console and sweat the pounds
Be gone from me! Let slimness be found!

I’ll walk and jog - I’ll run a while
But can I make it an extra half-mile?
I need to change life-long habits
But, must I eat like the local rabbit?

Grease makes food taste good, sugar is great
Frying is tasteful as up goes my weight
My pounds go up as my fanny drags down
Will I ever trip? Can I rebound?

I watch years marching on, time does pass
As I worry about my stomach’s gas
I know I can make it – I’ll firm my bust
My desire for food I’ll dismiss as lust

I’ll continue to stretch, pull and wonder
If I’ll ever look like firm, Jane Fonda
If I get discouraged and say, “I’m too pooped,”
I’ll remember the body of Dr. Ruth

I long for courage waiting for a meal
I hear Burger Big-One has a great deal
A double-whammy on an extra large bun
I’ll diet tomorrow – Today I’ll have fun!

Romping the Reptile

Romping on the reptile,
Drives me wild.
Playing hide the lizard,
With you.
Cures me from the blues.
Ascending and descending
On your dark anaconda
Is a workout
Harder than video’s from
Jane Fonda.
Slicking your lizard
With my mouth or my cushy
Makes me know
That you’re no wussy
You’re a strong, sexy man
With my wanting tail in your hands
Guiding my tail up and down
Or stroking in and out
Hiding that lizard
Making my body shake, gyrate,
And swivel
Riding and romping the reptile
Certainly drives me wild.
