Believe me, friends, if you write in these
Romance languages, you’ll be
Happy to enjoy writing. I love these
Languages. I entertain the idea
Of knowing at least one word
Of the other languages of the world
I love words of all languages
Throughout the ages
Leave a few funny comments
I know what you’re going to say, my friends
It’s always a pleasure hearing from you
I love you will all my heart, I love you
Eske nou tout konprann?
Do you all understand?

the light breeze
cooled the morning sun
daytrip Venice
had begun
vantage views
from a vaporetto
inch-by-inch
the skyline began to grow
St Marks cameinto view
etched on a sky so blue
tourist scrambled
from the boat
sensory feelings inside emote
ambling along piazzas wide
campanile renaissance
a city's pride
byzantine palaces bridge of sighs
facias painted
in pastel dyes
gothic churches candles ablaze
carvings to draw the gaze
depicted ceilings vivant tableau
golden bedecked reredos
pizza italiano barolo red wine
relax chat then dine
'neath parasoled
courtyard shade
as gondaliers anchor
to quayside arcade
homward along canal grande
below balconies
overhanging sun-tanned
houses emulsioned terracotta bold
kaleidoscopic memories
made manifold

cherchez la femme but
she's in the crosswalk
now so i didnt see her
because i was seeing
her in my thoughts
and i got thinking
of guerre but more
importantly la vie
and she romantically
language speaks
pardon my Francais
forgive my italiano
babble but let me
flip to page twenty
six and say the same
in
Espanol
on a train
to Riomaggiori
a crone of good
attitude stood
before me
thinking
the beggar sort
handing her coins
but no this wasn't
for it
paper lira only
so i gave her
my only bill
still don't remember
it's value
passing to her
her hand to her
pulled mine
began reading
the signs
of palm
and lines of time
in Italiano
which i don't speak
leaving me speechless
suddenly she pulled
my hair and not
daring to say
Strega she
told me
everything
that i was and
was meant to be
but then she took my hair
wrapping in the lira giving back
to me
no clue
not knowing
what to do with
this now life in my hands
burn
bury
throw to sea
one or any of these
or any other thing to bring
her words
to become what
was meant to me at least
in the eyes of a kind soul
italiano
one minute the witching hour
the moon isn't full
Criticas
Como bom italiano
tenho que pensar que
um grupo de políticos que decide
criticar um presidente
porque é presidente
é como a máfia se unindo
para bater no padrinho
por não ir à igreja no domingo.
mi Musa and i
try to speak
though confusedly
interjecting
si is si
in Espanol
in Italiano
but oui
is not we
but si
but noi
is closer
then nosotros
but most of the time
the time it takes
to take us
to a place
that makes sense
only leaves
dead cell batteries
i await
Thursday
her day
a date
in time
April
has a march
in 4/4
i must
write a score
do it
for duet
using her
voice vocally
instrumental
switch from
translate this
to a higher pitch
of cackled laughter
after which
jajaja transposes
to pizzicato notes
of ha ha ha
in a piece
where smiles
sound
like sunrises
sonrisas
and si si si is
both for yes
in
an
Italiano
Espanol
vocal
duet
