The world turns,
Another country went away.
Not dissolved,
Just to disappointed to stay.
I am embarrassed,
To admit where I travel from.
Fellow travelers all say, " It's not you personally that turned away."
I feel responsible for what occurs today!
My country is fading away.
The world was connected,
Until today!
Now we face our corner,
Standing another way.
Not waving to friends,
Pushing everyone away.
She liked walking.
At a certain time of day—
As she’d pass my place,
Her pace would melt.
Like sugar on a stove,
Before quickly bubbling up,
As I opened the door.
All colours caught her eyes.
From the softest red,
To the brightest green—
She would lean towards them.
With shocking electricity,
That 1000 volt smile,
Brighter than any colour I’ve seen.
Presentations were her worst nightmare.
Something straight out of a thriller—
Her heart would beat out of it’s chest.
Though rest would escape it,
As she dashed out of the room,
Into the corridor,
Frantically grabbing my hand,
Before stopping once more.
A girl who did it all.
At the very least she did most—
Keeping her love hidden away.
She’d pray to never be hurt,
Pushing away those who care,
Hoping I’d see her smile—
But all I saw was her glare.
Life should not be alone
One can't isolate oneself
Sometimes
One needs company
One needs guidance
One needs opinion and advice
One needs consent and complement
Sometimes
One needs to face the world
One needs protection
One has to refer to the Almighty for help
Life should not be alone
But full of love, affection, friendship
Faith and belief
Beautiful things encapture me,
As though I am within glass,
Ice blue eyes,
A weakness of mine,
The way he smiles,
Another layer of glass,
I should not feel such things,
Blurred behind so many layers,
Isolated by such a man,
Taken so abruptly,
Only to be cast away just as fast,
Another layer of glass between us,
A beautiful thing I must lay to rest,
My heart was yours,
But never would yours be mine,
Cast away such a fruitless venture,
Enraptured by your beauty,
Yet ultimately rejected by your hideousness,
Things that lie beneath that glass,
The ugly truth of love and lust,
Lust is what you feel strongest,
Love is what I aspire for,
Glass it blurs, confines,
Ultimately I was blinded by you,
Your beauty ending just below your skin,
Such a marvelous disaster we were,
Now, we must part ways,
Glass walls surrounding us both,
To blur such things once again

I will imitate you if I want to, I say to the arrogant iceburg.
He sticks out his frosty tongue, and I show him the identical act.
You are an idiot he tells me, igniting my wrath.
No, I tell myself, I am immune to his irrevocable idiocy now.
I attempt to isolate myself from my feelings, inadvertently making them worse.
Iconic that he and I should be isolated in this territory.
An inauspicious attempt to reconcile us, by my family, I imagine.
I suddenly feel complete inanition; I am completely depleted.
Shall we continue this iterative dance, or find new partners? I ask him.
It is totally up to you, he says, so I give him one last kiss, and shove off.
