Premium MemberLaceless Shoes

Inexplicably they appear in memory from time to time
the characters of the long-faded autumns and dim winters
Condescending, always ready to pry
to pick on, to step on, to say a loud word
and suddenly get caught like a nail on a remark
thrown by someone at random, like a pebble in the water
An unstoppable verbal tsunami pours in,
having fun scattering summer huts on the shore
I'm a terrified tourist that runs away, trying to escape
I dash into stronger huts, but those are also demolished
with relentless verbal tide of the condescending characters,
But wasn't that panic a usual thing
many summers ago, when life seemed a big adventure?
Know-it-all omnipercipients, satisfied with themselves,
making you want to disappear unnoticed,
quietly closing the door from the back side.
Has the stream of time taken you all?
My secret was simple - I always wore
laceless shoes, not to tarry up in the hallway,
disappearing without goodbye and without regret
escaping from their homes, clogged with the same
recycled paper books of the times, which seemed then
an invariable attribute of happy days,
the days of ignorance and innocence, full of hopes.

In the Eyes of the Beholder

In the eye of the beholder

To navigate between truth and lies skill is needed
I read in the Guardian, famous as a paper speaking the truth
but somehow, in the current debacle sounds like
polite propaganda.
There is a site called GAB, rather right-winged; I think
whose news is a corrector, of what is said in
the big papers.
Who speaks the truth?
It is like navigated in shallow waters of sandbanks
and in thick fog, all voices want to be heard.
What to do, we take the information to slosh it about
lies sink to the bottom, the truth is a bit obscured
Floats to the surface; depending on the experience
you had of life, make a choice.
Which invariable leads me to the left of the stream
In the river of words, when all is said a good place.

Premium MemberOpen the Closed Window

The crimson blood colored invariable,
flows free through every single heart,
as the common ancient ancestor etched
the footprints of humanity on earth.

The shared lineage thriving insulated,
splintered into diverse faction of races,
physical traits got naturally typified,
as melanin played with color on skin.

Born human under one seamless free sky,
equality pines behind veiled deprivation.
The unkind history manipulates artificially
the misplaced sense of partisan privilege.

For those under the sky black clouds melt
in the silent rain of unseen tears of agony,
suffocate in the toxic air of apathy and denial,
let’s open the closed window of human rights.

Oh What A Christmas Tree

Mistletoes, poinsettias, holly, and pinecones, stimulate their confidences regarding passage,
Tenuous fancied is the Norfolk pine, object facing, particular noble fir, and unique blue spruce trees,
These choice picks are amidst the well-bred evergreen trees variety fulfilling unspecified housed ambiance,
Detonates invariable sanctioned jubilation that a tree augmented during this festive holiday pageantry,
Well-kept treasured amassed souvenirs concerning marvels, embellish the excitable anticipant,
Venerated ostentatious amusements that sparkle in changeable glassed colorful bulbed shades,
While delicate precious keepsakes in attic cluttered boxes, issued in periods fording the annular flake catwalk,
Together with tinseled and snow-sprayed intensifications to ring in a most blessed Christmas vision,
In the whole grandeur, unwrap gifts escapism within overindulged pupils, a halcyon sweet surrender.

Brilliant

Brilliant
Is the color you can't touch called phoniness?
Is an invisible hug called wind?
If you miss someone is it loneliness?
Fate steals if only the result is blind,
The time stealing leaves on bitterness.
You came and you left behind
Leave only the sadness

That year we looked at the stars,
There are so many brilliant dreams
Thinking that happiness is passenger cars
Like the invariable stars far from me.
Remembering the youth dreams falls from far.

If you're above sky winkle,
Will you reach out and hug me?
The countless stars twinkle,
All the things that I have see
Better than a night with tingle

These Three Things I Long For

I always thought I’d hold that baby boy to adore,
but it looks like having a son just wasn’t in store.
The one that I lost, I wish to be back in my arms,
for this is but a burden I shall carry forevermore.

If only I could be more eager to be truly positive,
maybe then my soul could learn to be restorative.
Unequivocal assurance to bestow onto others,
then an unquestionable jubilant life I would live.

My final wish is to let go of all the guilt and shame
from when my sister took her life; o, all the blame.
To set my heart free from self-reproach and regret-
these three things I invariable desire…I do proclaim.

Newspapers

Newspapers

I read a few people read the newspaper anymore
I have in the shed the English written publication going back
twenty years also have some copies of the Guardian
which no longer sell their broadsheet abroad.
Regarding the local newspaper that first was run by a Canadian
It was fun to read they even printed my eccentric views
but it has – the paper- gone down it
is aimed at the affluent
and those who play golf and the little they have of news
is invariable right winged and that is sad, and I think of any more
good dammed self-satisfied than the English community here
but the paper has its use some supermarkets give it away
for free and it is an excellent way to lit the fire in the winter.
But I lament the passing of the Guardian as broadsheet it was
more liberal than it is now and it wasn`t Russia-phobic
I read the Guardian in line every day as it is their politics
and their harping harridans aside a good newspaper.
But I`m getting off the point which is that what is written
on papers endures what’s on internet Internet disappears in a cloud.

Capsulated

Invariable measures find me concluded with torment.
Crystallized reflections peripherally surpass imaginations advent.

Crackling blisters intern vivid arbitration, as if to teach spine-chilling lessons.
Collapse goes hostage lungs, held up and recorded in air gasping sessions.

Constant ringing beneath definitions light concealed bag piped eye shadows haunting address.
All occurs timed perfectly for surprise panic attacks; choking on nothingness.

White vaporous visuals infiltrate what sight left remains.
Useless kicking and screaming ended then when normalcy fathomed midst windowed pains.

Feelings numb agony crippled sightless time; acoustic sound walls burrow.
Vines manifest scandalous intent, my surrounded record beckons such growth still; you expect me to feel sorrow.

Calamity and Sanity

Calamity and Sanity

What if I were to have a heinous calamity
How would this invariable affect my sanity?
Maybe might go into some state of remorse
End up having to let nature take her course.

Could it be a personal psychotic tendency
Then end up developing a drug dependency
By several defense mechanisms be overcome
Result was they discovered I may be dumb.

Paranoid could also be my beckoning behavior
No longer spending things being an over- saver
And everyday often seem to have over-slept
And my whole mind becoming mentally inept.

Nice and normal some say is best way to be
So you can start living a lot more comfortably
Also what should make much prevalent sense
Is become like a liberal exhibiting tolerance.

It all sounds great to me.

Are Any Cruisers Out There

Are Any Cruisers Out There

Invariable checked out my verb tenses
All seemed to say should Sail with Princess
Line you will love I know for sure
And they always have a tremendous tour.

While we are sailing all over the place
Princess has such style and is full of grace
Which I am sure all of you will agree
And wonder if it is related to the QE 3.

Makes no difference if a princess or pauper
Each one of their ships is a show-stopper
And after years having looked around
Peaceful Princess Line was finally found.

Even though this cruise soon may end
Princess Line is my preferred friend
British Isles we sailed around each coast
And to Princess Line here is this toast.

James Thomas Horn
Retired Veteran
We have been Holland America and
Royal Caribbean before this. Will be
going next May on Princess Line.

Manipulation

Manipulation

Doctrines, Orders, at times, Education
Aim to accomplish manipulation!!
Message permanently caged in store;
Is a hand working puppet from the core!!
You either learn to change your mind
Or learn to change your humankind!!
Civilisations that we blindly receive
Humanities will permanently bereave!!
Claptrap compels you to avidly learn:
“Boy, good Titles are a thing to earn,”
On split boots, bendy legs then stagger
Weighed down by on-the-job blabber!!
Nay, clever and lively children we bear
Till by controls at School learn to fear!!
And, many cartoons that on TV feature
Educate infantile minds to fear nature!!
For, with a villain’s loud, eerie growl
Tells minds that evils are on the prowl!!
Invariable evils, minds they manipulate
To fear Good and Villains to emulate!!!

Grass

Grass

A Man of discernment the grass he gazes
With invariable appetite as a cow that grazes;
Grass in plains meanders with admiration,
And up the hills in its converse undulation-
He’s green, not with envy, but admiration!

The Idiot who laid a carpet, forgetting grass
His mind is dowdy and his brain has no mass
Who would dare bestow him worthy hugs
Who defiled the Soccer Pitch with shop tugs
Who killed Nature whilst in pursuit of rugs?

Green veldt, green courtyard; green, green
Green is life; where green is there’s no spleen.
Should distance of a kilometre grass you eat
Chances are that, should you survive the feat,
All ailments you’ll be cured once and neat!

Should we not eat grass- listen to the murmur-
To savour its natural taste and green glamour;
We better adore, stop to inveigh or to boast
In white milk we drink and meat we roast
Grass daily fills our stomachs with the toast?

***Inspired by the beauty and surreal view of a freshly mowed lawn.
