NOTE:THIS IS AN OPEN(organic) FORM VERSE using spaces&breaks without grammatical symbols ,the ' open' relies upon 'the one breath limitation' & so inherently requires the 'reader' (reciter) to input and responds thus making this enigmatic form a two way interplay & interpretatIon unique to the moment& changing according to mood is inherently variable.

I sense her in the phantom light
of a closed eye.
Behind a fallen lid cave shadows dance.
I taste an interiority --- a sap
mingled with a salt-lick of self.
I sense her in the phantom light
of a closed eye.
She is not a totem, not an animal spirit
She is that place where
everything becomes something else;
her shape has its own life.
Shaving in the morning
I scrape chin stubble,
decide to shave thinning hair,
until my head is clean and hard.
She circles my peripheral senses
watchful.
Now I know what she is,
she is the child of my animal nature,
not pure, not ethereal,
but the honed edge of my animus
though strangely female
as all soul entities are.
She keeps me iron-edged
in the keen, and razor sharp daylight.
Not for him the outer stars,
not for him the high reach.
Core and interiority, the essence,
the very inmost,
that was his aim.
Eventually it came upon him
that there was always an expanse,
an immeasurable sky
within every substance and object.
He called that vastness,
‘me’.
He often thought that life below the world,
below the surface of any surface, on the inside,
might be a better way to know these layers of reality
he often imagined.
Not for him the outer stars,
not for him the high reach of any physical existence.
Core and interiority, essence, and center – no
not just the center, the heart of it all, the very inmost.
It was hardly a surprise to him
when he began to see the within of the within,
as if it were the eye that, all that is
orbits and arises from.
However, eventually it came upon him
that there was always an expanse, an immeasurable
sky within every substance that he would always be
unable to fathom;
he called that vastness: the God-space.
that space slowly began to probe his consciousness,
made him aware of the inwardness of infinity
and that made him, strangely enough,
discontent, leaving him feeling exiled,
as if he were only a bug gazing through
a frosted windowpane,
for the inner was too immense
(even in a single atom), for him to comprehend.
and now he must always be on the outer rims
of endless layers of reality looking in.

Mr Blue Sky
(LadyLabyrinth / 2020)
On a day when nothing pleases you,
not land, sea or sky - art comes.
You see a distant view as if it were unmasked
of all space in-between. You feel an interiority;
like a snake you shed preconceptions.
Art recognizes what distance has developed
between the eye and the viewed,
then brings it to the unseeing as something
very close, unexpected and newborn.
At that moment
land, sea and sky
have become an otherness.
A blossoming of a stranger world,
that has yet to be imagined.
There are countless ways
to see, judge, and act;
like in theology or other disciplines
where values and concerns
reflect the right meaning.
As Christians committed to life
a great taste for relationship
becomes the centerpiece,
the priority in a journey.
It’s in this context though,
that human relationship matters
where there’s a sharing of life,
along with the struggles and joys.
While everyone strives to be human,
at the major crossroads – difficulties
truly, they’re part of life’s experiences
known to shape from within
its interiority, the inner soul.
Many saints have experienced too
those moments of dryness,
doubt and reluctance in their prayers
notwithstanding their spirituality reveals
that right focusing on God alone.
Yet in our life’s articulation,
brings into the limelight – God’s love
it’s always a continuing revelation,
an endless concern in today’s culture;
with God and those around us
remain the basis of what life is all about.
