This intensive cat
— with night-gray fur —
Steps out wary
— as if the grass
had turned to tacks…
Alert to find
— that!
The strange noise
— startled!
Breaking a nap!

First day of Lab,
we sat as assigned.
She wrote one word
across the board:
'Laboratory’
She turned and said
"This is a laboratory.
Let’s have more of the first five
and less of the last seven."

Crows are scavengers
... they eat dog poop in my garden every day
When I bring my shovel and bag they scream :
... "we want more .... more" ...
... they love it
A crow
will fight over a dead man's flesh
But, stay away from my garden

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit NICU
Are things at times we may be laughing
But never, ever will one be under-staffing
With fewer nurses who were often needed
Assist along a birth that could be impeded.
Then there was the time a son we did adore
By my beautiful wife baby she recently bore
And are glad our son's life God would spare
With Neonatal Intensive Unit who could care.
For a while we had experienced much strife
And a wonderful nurse saved our son's life
Now do see him each time the sun does set
Concerned face of nurse will never forget.
