Shed a Tear

Shed A Tear

Within debilitating heartache you shed a tear
The loss of a loved one that you hold so dear
Gone is the that one love you once held so near
Memories overcome you as you shed a tear

Seeking inner strength that no longer is clear
Overcome by all these emotions that appear
Consumed by the sorrow and pain so severe
Suddenly overcome by grief you shed a tear

Praying for inner strength to adhere
Hoping that time will heal and endear
Fearfully your near future is so unclear
You quietly and solemnly shed a tear

Releasing all inner sorrow as you shed a tear
Letting go of the uncertainty causing you fear
Becoming aware of your feelings so sincere
In your loneliness you privately shed a tear

Starting Life Over

Walk with me down the road so we can see tomorrow

Dry the tears I cry each day from my inner sorrow

Hold my hand down life's forever winding path

Lend me your shoulder when I've been struck by pain's wrath

Kiss me sweet and tender to ease my troubled mind

Fill my mind with new thoughts don't let me look behind

Say the loving words my ears long to hear spoken

Mend my wounds and save this heart that has been broken

Shine your loving light into my darkened soul

Share with me the part of you I need to make me whole

Open my eyes to a new life I've longed for 'til this day

Give me trust and honesty and promise me you'll stay

Now you've touched my heart, my soul and opened up my mind

Now I can start life over and leave my past behind
