academic validation

Algebra makes me feel stupid.
Equations and inequalities,
algebra makes me feel stupid.
I could have an A in the grade book, but that doesn't mean that I understand.
lost in class, barely turned that in on time.
Algebra makes me feel stupid.
So I drift into my own world.
But at least in my world, I'm not alone.
Algebra makes me feel stupid,
it's not my teacher's fault, but my own.
The problem is, I run on academic validation, more so than food or water,
so I sink.
pretend- and make them think
make them think I know what I am doing,
but I am on the brink.
the brink of failure.
Algebra makes me feel stupid.
once gifted, now barely scraping by.
once impressive
what makes me impressive?
certainly not my ability to solve complex algebraic expressions.
is it my ability to fake it?
to only raise my hand when I know the answer?
Is it too late?
is it too late to know the answers?
too late to say I don't understand and ask questions?
Algebra makes me feel stupid.
once excelling in school, now regular.

Premium MemberMission

They say
I have been free...
When?
Where?
I never know...
Did they give me
My freedom to be born...?
Did they not test to see
I am male or female...?
Did they have any
Happiness on their faces
When I, by default,
Tumbled forth...?
They consider me
A lesser being...
Lesser
In everything...
They find me fit
Only as a child-bearing machine...
Once that is done
I am done...
Existence has become
Dependence...
I know my worth, yet.
Equal to a thousand of them...
I know
I have my mission to accomplish...
This is why
I am rushing on...!
The mission of
Leveling all inequalities...!

Wonder

I wonder;
 why we waste time, we have so little at all,
   I wonder;
 if there really is a crystal ball.

    I wonder;
about things brewing beneath will it erupt?
    I wonder;
 what becomes of the underdeveloped?

    I wonder
 how much of life is motivated by inequalities of power,
     I wonder;
 if there really is an ivory tower.

    I wonder;
 why emotional pain you feel physical,
    I wonder;
 why love has to be so cynical.

     I wonder;
 what a miracle really looks like.
     I wonder;
 why they call us a dyke.

    I wonder;
 if I will ever grow up,
    I wonder;
 if I will drink from the golden cup.

    I wonder;
 what makes a person hate,
    I wonder;
 why you would tempt the hand of fate.

    I wonder;
 why I'm angry my whole life,
    I wonder;
 why I miss my wife.

    I wonder;
 why love makes it hard to breathe,
    I wonder;
 if my opponent has something up his sleeve.

    I wonder;
 if I'm living or slowly dying,
    I wonder;
 why people give up without even trying.

Lessons of Life

On the streets we learn the differences,

          in the books we learn the similarities

          the world teaches us inequalities

          Let's live a life in love that offers equality...!

Poem On Business

Could it be, business
is a charm
and not a need
although to leave
it empty one may
practise it, since
that is not fault
but be aware it is
a source of later
decay if not decadence
how lure tis is business
worst equations of
inequalities
perhaps, here is an
ocean of capitalism
what if rules of
capitalism parallel?
for me I hold that
business as a major post
is an indication
to prove its mediators
have faden if not sunken.

Premium MemberOur Society Must Change

Does society need a push to be made just,
Can we not together find solutions set to last,
Homelessness and poverty rife with shame,
With people given numbers but no name.

Are we so callous, blind and proud
To block our ears from cries so very loud,
Their wants and needs not our concern,
As we shake our heads with gazes stern.

Gone are the neighborhoods that kept us close,
Replaced by ones which only inequalities expose,
Gleaming steel towers where merely money speaks,
Silent neighbors with no word spoken for countless weeks.

Corporations filled with wanton greed,
Blind to crippling poverty and need,
Governments complicit in this crime
Grasping for income all signs of morals they begrime.

Solutions few, decisions hard,
So many options by self-interest barred
And yet in some humanity prevails,
Providing sustenance that such humanity entails.

To the rest of us, the watching masses,
Idly gazing through rose colored glasses,
The moment beckons for a society to heal,
Lest that apathy our very soul forever steal.

Tempted To Madness

Imagine there's no inequalities
Trump seems to
Nothing we haven't killed or died for
no religion, true

Imagine all the people dead
Life now at peace

You may say i have gave up
but i am not the only one
and more will surely join us
as we watch the world burn

Imagine no possessors
wonder
if you can
No hope or love
it has hit the fan

Imagine all the people dead
Life now at peace

You may say i have gave up
but i am not the only one
and more will surely join us
as we watch the world burn

Premium MemberTenderized Fear

It’s not that I am not afraid,
It’s just that I am not scared
We shall not overcome…

For the liberated sufferer
Knows that God defeats all evil:
Consummating victory…
And the only thing to be
Afraid of is that it may not be
Realized that there is no victory
Independent of faithful battle…

I’m not afraid, just scared
That some may forget that we are
Children of the Exodus…

Surviving heirs of those Ancestors
Who were welled acquainted
With suffering pandemonium
And that this present pandemic scare
Will be overcome…

And we can get back to the struggle
Against injustice promoting distancing
Social and economic inequalities
Spanning our ethnic and gender categories...

The art of real living falls upon the inert egos of us all and their antiquated mused ill givings. When we can encounter those mannered inequalities that keep us intolerant and locally dead, forlorn to a fault and viscous in our vows,
dig deep into an hitherto undone voyage for that quantum ecstasy ecoquotient; compatible,
but ever illicit in their aged desires to domindegradate all living things.
Unless we can alter our ignocomplacency with a supreme and stalwart Awareness;
to begin to discover the stuppored laziness of thee/our inner self,
the spiritual safety net binding us all,
it will surley lead us down a path of never neverness of scope and eventual extinction.
Only when we begin to thought palpitate unconditional loving amidst a nirvananess aplenty, being our Souls first,
can we collectively begin to visualize, aspire
take a one now first step toward
a truly evolved consciousness, viable and worthy of our species
with constant universal continuance proving our
 measure and compassion to exist.

Champion of Woman's Rights

Woman,

She lassos her tongue around minds
creating space in these harden times
she licks at the wounds
she culls up the glass
a virescent glow that forever will last

She holds off the pain
with a sacred of verse
charged up to the plus
we shall all come immersed

Soapbox, chair, on front porch swings
talking of peace and inequalities
journeys and strength
barefoot she bleeds
not caring for her but others in need

A warrior for rights
a woman of might
hard to the core
but soft as moonlight

Truth emits from her lips
listen up as she pleads
not gone she is here
girl, woman, she, freed

Premium MemberGender Equality

For three hundred thousand, of five billion years,
A fact never challenged by science or fears;
Upright Homo-Sapiens, embodied two genders,
Each body clearly favoring, the other body’s splendor.

But alas as we humans, have improved and evolved,
We decided old constructs, should now be dissolved;
By strong social order, and educated means,
Replaced by enlightenment, and the Science of Genes.

In a newfangled world where anything goes,
And dare not be challenged, questioned, opposed;
Men can be women, women now men,
A surgical metamorphosis, with the stroke of a pen.

As we blur the lines separating, factual truth,
Eliminating inequalities, deemed clearly uncouth;
Despite our clear difference, in gender and sex,
Fair treatment of genders, includes mutual respect!

We owe our world's progress, to mindsets deemed fair,
Of gender equality, that eliminates despair;
And instead of confusion, melding genders the same,
We should celebrate our differences, in far more than name.

True Love

Only True Love has empathy to spare,
Only True Love can stop the tears from flowing,
Only True Love is devoid of selfishness.

Only True Love knows the meaning of forgiveness,
Only True Love takes passion in the right direction,
Only True Love can make the ultimate sacrifice.

Only True Love speaks through the heart,
Only True Love is guilt free,
Only True Love is safe under the moon.

Only True Love sees the beauty within us all,
Only True Love can make us feel truly needed,
Only True Love can calm our restless spirits.

Only True Love can remove inequalities,
Only True Love can make us fearless,
Only True Love can keep us from plunging over the precipice.

Premium MemberIn Love Wit You As You and I Both Love God- -

Oh, my wonderful;
You are my total beauty;
And yes you are ever-wonderful;
And I do appreciate ya;

for you see I'm in love wit you as you and I both love God

Such a mind as yours;
One that acknowledges God;
Not afraid to embrace;
Nor, to seek His face;

This and so much more;
This is why I love you girl…
Tenderly we pray together without inequalities…

for you see I'm in love wit you as you and I both love God

Engaging in truth and worship;
Embracing all that is Him;
In love we two, first with God then each other;
Also a love for our sisters and brothers;

for you see I'm in love wit you as you and I both love God

So as I hold your hands and heart;
Let us continue to embark;
In this relationship with God, together all this…
Needless to say I love you in the Lord’s way;
Thank you first for the fellowship;
Let us seal this relationship;
With a Thank you Lord
For all you’ve done and does
for you see I'm in love wit you as you and I both love God

Protesting
Written: by Tom Wright
7-8-2016

Protesting has become a dangerous game,
Creating property damage and often killing.
It accomplishes little but occurs just the same,
Working on inequalities seems we’re unwilling.

Those thought oppressed want their payday,
Spouting slogans and shouldering their signs.
Thinking this might another’s opinion sway,
Desiring to rise above their present confines;

But I don’t see protest as getting this done,
Unless hearts change somewhere along the way;
The answer won’t be found in outlawing the gun,
Things aren’t apt to change until we all pray.
